Friday Night Funkin' is an open-source donationware rhythm game first released in 2020 for a game jam. The game was developed by a team of four Newgrounds users, Cameron "ninjamuffin99" Taylor, David "PhantomArcade" Brown, Isaac "Kawai Sprite" Garcia, and evilsk8r.
The Extra Life is a clone of Sonic the Hedgehog from Sonic the Comic, and a minor antagonist in it. Created by Dr. Kintobor as an "extra life" for the blue blur, he was instead trapped inside of a monitor as he turned out evil.[1] Much later on, he convinced Tails to get him out so that he could cause destruction. In this mod, it appears that he managed to get Boyfriend to get him out of the monitor, before taking this advantage to burn the hills. However, towards the end of the song, he's put back into said monitor, like the original comic.
