I had to put a new tank in in my 86 cutlass broham. and yall did it the same way, but i used a 2x4 to hold up the tank across the floor jack ,but it worked 👍

Initially I was looking for this video but got distracted by the gauge install. 👍🏽 thanks. Good idea on the flex seal for the trunk. I was thinking of using bed liner spray.
lol, man I appreciate the support and yea that flex seal works a lot better in my opinion…it spreads more evenly…we ended up using it in my sons cutlass trunk as well
@@87SSBOI yeah I’m gonna use the flex seal. I had a Monte back in the day, the carpet that it had was trashed. The guy that had the car before would transport his tools and what not in the trunk. Ended up rotting out the area where the spare wheel goes.
Your podnuh had me😂wen he said everyday he put $12 in his cutlass because that was the exact amount I was putting in my 84 Buick regal wen I had it and was fine wit it until one night me and my wife ran out of gas in it and she was pissed😂😂😂then I got it fixed

Man you motivated me to install my dakota in my cutlass. My fuel gauge is the only one not working. I just drop my tank to change my sending unit. These shops will do you wrong out here. Hopefully the fuel gauge work after I change this unit. Great video and helpful.

Good vid brah! I actually got a spare sending unit lol had to change all that when I went LS. Y’all boys scared me with that fuel line but I seen y’all used a fuel injection clamp. Y’all good now my boy! Keep ‘em coming!
Lol…yea them old clamps were loose on the new hoses…had some leftover FI clamps from the Sniper laying around…👌🏾🦾💯

I had to replace my sending unit and gas tank on my 74 Chevy nova same steps y'all did. And now I gotta do the same thing to my 85 ford truck soon as the weather be nice to so I can work
Always loved the Salon with the bucket seats i think they came with the chrome rims and letter tires 🔥🔥. This cat in my hood back in the 90's had a burgundy one but it had problems. Man he wouldn't sell it to me for nothing in the world because i put stuff back together.

While the tank was off y'all could have used a metal wire brush and got the rust off. Hit it with the rust inhibitor and sprayed black rustoleum on the top half 💪🏽💪🏽

I just had to put a new sending unit and fuel pump in my 1986 IROC Z28 now you know on that car you have to drop the rear end somebody cut the fuel rail on a sending unit and could have trapdoor in the hatch area I'll put it back off Factory you guys should've put a new hose on that one end so you guys wouldn't have to go back up in there that old hose might leak all new braided fuel lines on it next time probably back in now 🤣 and don't forget to scrub the gas tank and painted silver

Where did u connect your 12v constant wire in the fuse box
For the dash? Either way, I don't remember but all u have to do is use a circuit tester and find a constant 12v...refer to this vid if u don't know how👌🏾💯 ruclips.net/video/AJ5Ra60whFc/видео.html
Hey just trying to give you a helping hand the fuel sending unit run them tabs around until they stop number two stock clamps get rid of them use these they're safer for your safety your families and your car KE-F16BX that's one of the part numbers just don't want to see somebody have problems with their car

@@jayAMG7 oh okay...yea so the main thing to look for in a gbody is known rust areas...the bottoms of the doors, floor pans underneath and under carpet, trunk lid edges, rockers and trunk pan

How did y’all go about the fuel ground to the vhx control box itself?
We didn't ground it...it's grounded at the tank in the rear
Im replaceing the sending unit in my 86 Monte Carlo but it only had two lines and the new one has three like the one you have my question is what to do with the 3rd line
You can just plug it…or u can go buy one with 2 lines…most cars have 3 lines (supply, return, vent)…I’m guessing yours just has supply and return

We did the whole EFI setup except the return…he took it to someone for the return line install

I do not see nothing wrong with running that with your brake lights because when you're stopped you're not getting air flow through the radiator that is actually very intelligent smart thinking on that person cuz if you're cruising you don't need the fan but if you stop at a red light you need that fan I do not approve it definitely not a bad idea
I think u may have misunderstood or I mis-explained what was going on…he needs the fan at the stop light…when he hit the brakes it disengaged the fans therefore when he needs the fans the most they shut off because he is on the brakes
They ran the fans thru the cruise control switch which disengages when braking
