@@Rishi123456789 A agree, unfortunately, now when The Walking Dead spinoff is in the air, I saw very major spoiler literally in picture randomly on facebook in the walking dead group and there are such spoilers everywhere, people post it like 3 hours after that episode aired in the US, but here in Europe, it's 3AM for us, so you really can't see it that fast because you need to sleep and then go to work. These spoilers in first few hours should be banned in these groups and in some groups they are and admins actually ban for that.
Our Czech groups and websites mostly have rule that NO spoilers in first week.

In the novel, from what I remember, Vader cracked the emperor’s ribcage as he lifted him and threw him down the abyss. When Luke removed Vader’s helmet, he was able to breathe for the first time free from the suit and the influence of the Dark Side. Scents that brought back a flood of memories that brought him back as Anakin Skywalker. Did you recognize the rebel pilot Wedge Antilles? He was Luke’s wingman down the Death Star trench in A New Hope. Wedge was with him at the Battle of Hoth and was the only one to bring down a Walker by entangling the legs in The Empire Strikes Back. Here, Wedge gets to shine by flying with Lando into the heart of the Death Star 2. He is seen with Luke and the Ewoks in the end scene. I was surprised at how it ended, as I expected Hollywood to milk this franchise dry, that it had an end to the story. Very pleasantly surprised. One thing that I loved about the Original Trilogy is how the lightsaber duels were not just about swordfights. They were really stages for the psychological battles between the characters. That's one thing I feel we lost with the newer movies.
Your reaction to the ending and the death of Darth Vader was is why Darth Vader is known as one of the greatest villains in cinema history. Not many villains will make you cry for them upon their death. The redemption and death of Anakin Skywalker is an amazing character arc.
I don't know if you noticed but in the ending sequence when the ghost of Anakin Skywalker appears, Obi-Wan glanced and smiled at him. There is a non-canon book that goes into that. When Anakin dies, as he "floats" in the netherworld of the Force, Obi-Wan contacts him. It goes like this :
"Master. I am so, so sorry."
“Anakin, listen carefully. You are in the netherworld of the Force, but if you ever wish to revisit corporeal space, then I still have one thing left to teach you. A way to become one with the Force. If you choose this path to immortality, then you must listen now, before your consciousness fades.”
    “But Master … why me?”
“Because you ended the horror, Anakin. Because you fulfilled the prophecy. Because you were … and are … the Chosen One.”
“Because I was wrong about you. And because I am your friend.”
“Thank you, Master.” [Ryder Windham’s The Life and Legend of Obi-Wan Kenobi]

I was 13 years old in 1977 when I saw Star Wars and 16 Years old in 1980 when I saw Episode V The Empire Strikes Back and i was 19 Years old in 1983 when I saw Episode VI The Return of The Jedi in the Movie Theatre. Everyone was shocked and gasped when it was revealed Princess Leia was Luke's Twin Sister. Everyone in the Movie Theatre cheered when Darth vader turned on the Emperor.
Anakin Skywalker was the Jedi who returned. Luke hinted at that when he told the Emperor that he was a Jedi like his Father before me.
In the original version Darth Vader does not say no before turning on the Emperor. He just keeps looking back and forth before he picks up the Emperor.
also in the original the force Ghost of Anakin Skywalker is the Older version of Anakin. He was portrayed by the Actor who was in the Darth Vader Uniform
Luke's Lightsaber in this movie was Green. This introduced the Green Light saber to Starwars. Previously Blue was the Jedi Color and Red was the Sith Lord Dark side of the force color.

    1. Best guess is that Han was Jabba's "trophy" for about a year and a half before the rescue.
    2. Vader discovered Leia as Luke's sister because he could feel it through Luke.
Luke didn't know that until just before then.
    3. Luke's light saber is green because he lost his old one along with his hand so they
decided to make it green because it worked better in the desert background landscape.
    4. Everybody is freaking out because Luke and Leia kissed mostly because she was trying
to piss off Han. They didn't know they are related.
    5. The "I love you. I know" was written into the script to get Leia the shot to say it to Han.
    6. This was Warrick Davis'/Lead Ewok first acting gig. He was only 13.
Willow is his lead with Val Kilmer and worth a first time/share.
    7. Awesome camera work with the race through the forest. Nobody in their right mind would go that fast.
    8. Carrie Fisher😇 said in her biography that the most satisfying part in her Star Wars experience was choking out Jabba.
    9. Jedi is plural. With Luke and Leia leading the way they can reestablish the Jedi back into the galaxy.
    10. Ford wanted Han to die in the last episode.
    11. This is the best of the original 6 George Lucas Star Wars. After the first six he sold it to Disney, and everything changed. Sadly

So, since you read these, I'm going to give you some major lore (no spoilers) and some trivia. First off, the "I Know" in Episode 5 was improvised by Harrison Ford. Next, the entire reason why he was placed in carbonite was because Harrison Ford had not yet signed on to do the third movie, so they froze him in carbonite to have a way to explain his possible absence in the third movie. Now, for some lore...The Sith, for centuries, had what's known as The Rule of Two. There's always a master and an apprentice. Emperor Palpatine (Darth Sidious) brought Anakin to the dark side when he was training as a Jedi. The Jedi have a code: There is no emotion, there is Peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death, there is The Force. On the other side, the Sith have their code: Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength, through strength, I gain power. Through power I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall set me free. So, essentially, the fundamental difference is how the force is utilized. Obi Wan says in Episode 4 that the force is all in all living things. It connects us, unites us, binds the universe together. Yoda says "Luminous beings are we". The Jedi use the force as a flow. Like a river. Using the flow of that river to help them. Sith act as a battery or a capacitor. They gather that power into them and release it in a flurry of passion. Ultimately, remember that, while the movies show a true dichotomy of Light vs Dark, there are several other schools of the force. Some of these are explored in the animated series and the Extended Universe. I truly wish I could be in your shoes now. I have only wished for amnesia so that I could rediscover Star Wars and see it with fresh eyes.

This movie was the first movie I took my wife to watch back in early 1978 while we both were stationed at NATTC Millington for our Navy and Marine schools. We have always had a very fond memories of these movies, since the sand dune scene in Episode VI, Return of the Jedi was filmed between the two bases we were stationed at. As a fan of all things Star Wars, you might want to take a pause and actually watch "Rogue One, a Star wars Story". There will be NO SPOILERS if you watch it, because it is tied to these three movies you just watched. All nine of the actual movies start with "Star Wars, Episode I through IX" The reason I suggest this is because a lot of people who had not watched A New Hope through Return of the Jedi many times will miss a lot in Rogue One. Rouge One uses many characters and un-used film from the three original movies. Since these three movies are so fresh in your mind, you will actually get more out of Rogue One, than if you wait to watch it.

Mechanically, its not complex, but the Jedi channels The Force through it for many hours to fuse the parts together with extreme efficiency so the blade ignites instantly each and every time, and never sputters, plus it can operate a very long time off a small energy cell. For this film George Lucas decided to make Jabba a huge slug so when they added the Jabba scene back into the original movie they put a CGI Jabba where the human actor used to be. It was released in the form of video games, books, TV shows, and other supplemental materials and this is the version most fans prior to Disney cling to. It ran from the 80s till Disney took over in 2012 and rebranded it Legends so they could make up their own stories to be canon. Some of which has been accepted by older fans, but a lot of which has also been rejected as it contradicts previously established lore, so there are also the Disney continuations which are mixed at best among the old fans and at this point it feels more like they are for newer fans who are more open to the changes they’ve made.

Luke is the only one who uses the word 'kill' Yoda says confront and Obi-Wan says face, they never say kill.

However, when Luke says that he cannot “kill” who is on father, Obi-won replies, “Then the emperor has already won,” or something like that. Seems to confirm Luke’s take.

@TommygunNG True. Just guessing but maybe Obi-Wan means, how far are you willing to go. The goal is to destroy the Sith one way or another so I can see how it can be taken that way.

It's an amazing contrast to look at the special effects of the first movie vs the 3rd movie. At least for the non special edition scenes.

36:23 The "lore" is that Luke returned to Obi-Wan Kenobi's hut back on Tatooine. There he finds instructions on how to build his own lightsabre. If you compare pictures of Luke's lightsabre and Obi-Wan Kenobi's they actually share a similar look in design.
There is actually a deleted scene in which Luke ignites his new lightsabre in front on Artoo, and nods to him (setting the plan to rescue Han in motion). I don't know why it was deleted- maybe they felt it would have spoiled the surprise of Luke's sabre being hidden in Artoo and the big reveal when he ignites it during the sand battle.

Great reaction to this classic and for the end of the original Star Wars trilogy...but how did it all begin???...
I hope that you will do the prequel films soon (including Rogue One & the Solo movie). Not going to spoil anything for you (I promise) but these questions I list here should hype you up for them....
*How did Anikin meet Natalie Portman's character (sorry someone spoiled that for you) & how did they fall in love?
*When were Luke & Leia born?
*Why were Luke & Leia separated and where did they end up?
*How did Anikin meet Obi-Wan and being his training to be a Jedi?
*Are the driods in the prequels?
    *Is Yoda in the prequels?
*How did Han Solo & Chewbacca meet?
*How did Han Solo get the Millennium Falcon from Lando?
*How did The Emperor & the Empire come into power?
*What happened to all the good Jedi?
*How did Ankin get seduced by the Dark Side of The Force?
*How did Ankin become Darth Vader?
*How was the 1st Death Star built?
*How did Princess Leia get those secret Death Star plans?
*Are we going to learn new things about The Force & the Dark Side?
*Are we going to meet any new fun characters, other villians and weird aliens?
Just questions to ask & think about as you continue your journey into the Star Wars universe 😉. Peace ✌️

The script originally had Han Solo tell Leia that he loved her too in ESB, but on the day they did several takes and it just didn't work, then Harrison Ford improvised "I know" and it was so perfect they kept it.
*Edit* some food for thought: The Ewoks are shown to be more than willing to eat people, they had no compunctions about cooking Han and Luke alive. Knowing that.... lets reflect about what happened to the Stormtroopers whose helmets ended up as drumsets.
Also: The Ewoks had a human sized dress for Leia to get changed into when she reached the village, maybe we shouldn't think too much about the implications of that combined with what I just wrote...

" Everyone In The Comments Was Saying That Jabba In Episode IV Was CGI Added From The 90's, And I Wondered If This Jabba Was CGI Animated"
No, this version of Jabba is a giants puppet that was controlled by 5 puppeteers.
Before the remastered versions came out, this was the first time you ever seen Jabba in the movies

The Emperor is the ultimate puppetmaster. He controls everything. Look how the Imperials start to fall apart after his death. In legends, he's using his abilities to enhance the co-ordination of the entire Imperial force at Endor - the troops on the ground, the Imperial Navy and the Death Star's crew. That's roughly 2.5 million minds.
Also, Force Lightning is a manifestation of hate and anger channeled through the hands, a true dark side ability. The Emperor is considered the greatest of any Sith at this. He was actually torturing Luke when he could have just vaporised him straight off.

It was also great that Luke realized what he was doing and remembered his failure at the cave in EP 5: ESB (that he would become like Vader if he went down the dark path as Yoda warned). Looking at Vader's hand and his own hand brought him right out of his anger. And that's why he threw his lightsaber away to declare to the Emperor "I am a Jedi, like my father before me". Luke learned what Vader didn't. ✌️

@@MLJ7956 in this scene i've also felt the emperor talked a few times where if he'd been quiet luke would have gone further to the dark side, but hearing the emperor try to provoke the reaction more helped him come back to control.

Young Anakin ghost next to old Obi-wan ghost is one of the most unforgivable sins of the Special Editions. The Jabba CGI entertainment is another, and replacing the original Ewok celebration music is as well. The other Special Editions were not so bad, but they just took a big steaming pudu on episode VI.

The new music was far more fitting for the ending of the entire story. The actual unforgivable sin is making Vader say "no... no... NOOOOO" before throwing palpy. It's like one of the most important parts of the series, and it was turned into a joke.
