What a nice set. I wish I could have bought a full set... I have several older vise grips, but new ones aren't as good, and imports are for most part junk. I wanted malcos since they started making them

I’ve found some NOS USA made Petersens out there at estate sales, and plenty of lightly used ones on Facebook marketplace, but yeah the new Chinese made ones aren’t great. Stick around- I’m going to give away some Malco’s when the channel hits 1k!

Sadly sold to Japan and dropped the locking pliers product.

At this time the Dewitt facility has not been sold to anyone and production of Eagle Grips has not moved to another country, although Irwin did move their original Vice Grips line to China in 2008

@@rogerice3826 reported by NCN News Channel Nebraska. Malco out of Minnesota bought then later closed the Dewitt Ne plant

@don cook I have not heard Malco has found a buyer for the plant, or the equipment, from Japan or anywhere else. It's my understanding that the plant is still open, at least until the end of the year, so as to fulfill their contractual obligations. I think they still supply Snap On until then.

@@rogerice3826 ah gotcha. I went to Doane and summers drove a mixer for Redi-mix in Crete and like millions of others own full size mini and needle nose Vice Grips. They will last forever. Saddened to read about but time marches on
