FORGING
Our manufacturing starts by heating raw metal to over 1,000deg and shape it between two dies on forging hammer by impact force.
This Forging process provides desired shape and also benefits of aligning the grain flow to obtain hardness & strength.
HEAT TREATMENT
After forging and some machining, pliers enter heat treatment processes. During heating & cooling processes within this stage, metal properties improve or change on strength, hardness, ductility, elasticity or wear resistance etc.
Our pliers are heated and cooled under tight controls and get extra induction hardening on cutting area to obtain ideal balance of these properties on its each part for superior durability.
SHARPENING
Heat Treated pliers in best condition are polished and assembled to proceed to sharpening, which is the most important process determining its cutting performance.
Our pliers are sharpened piece by piece by experienced artisan's hand-work. It's adjusted even slight deformation caused on heat treatment process and pliers obtain best cutting performance with optimal edge thickness and angle for each purpose.

Tsunoda PLC-200GUB is nearly identical but with a slight angle which might help in tight spots or when working two tools in tandem. Tempting!
Correct. If you can better utilize the angled head then its a solid choice as well. Thanks for commenting.
I have the Fujiya Kurokin 210-190-BG which has the same idea the difference is that Tsunoda has 3 adjustment slots while the Kurokin is the typical slip joint plier
Yes, you get the addition 3rd position to help dial in the pliers. These also have the over patented jaw that allows you to grab on the flats and not the corners. 👍🏻
I have the bent tip. It's one of those tools where the first time you use them they pay for themselves. And at $20 you won't regret it.

weird timing - the angled version of these had been languishing for the better part of a year in the purgatory of my amazon "saved for later" list until your last video (the full thickness version) reminded me to go move these to my cart and complete the purchase. They are being delivered today - i'll be interested to see how they compare to the knipex cycle pliers 🤙
That does appear to be somewhat coincidental. Pricing is also at an all time low with Japanese tools because of the Yen so win win. 🏆 😊
@@thingsmen mine showed up; these are pretty slick! I had been thinking of them as something like a cheap slipjoint version of my knipex cycle pliers, but now that I use them, the jaws are so slim that they actually remind me of the snap-on slipjoint needlenose pliers a little bit too. Anyway, very cool option at this price 👍

I’m also debating myself weather to get this Tsunoda slim tip or the Knipex cycle pliers 84 21 200…but Tsunoda is much cheaper and being a slip joint design I will probably go for this😅
