Never saw nitrogen freeze before
religion wishes it was this awesome :P
+Petrino it is to those who believe in it.
+Quantum Axe lol
Interesting and awesome! So I'm assuming most elements (like the nitrogen) will behave this way to pressure?
Yes, that is very true. You can look up a triple diagram for each element, this will tell you were the matter transitions are in relation to temperature and pressure.
@@Fysikshow that also reacts to oxygen, right?
Could you explain why it happens with some formulas etc? Like why would lowering the pressure lower the boiling point of it? It may be easy, but it could be more memorable for some people.
+Misclickable I think it has to do with P*V = n*R*T
If you think about it, what state matter is in has to do with how close the particles are together. The lower the pressure, the more they can spread out. The formulae themselves are much more complicated than can be explained in a RUclips comment - see the formula for calculating boiling point on the Wikipedia page for boiling point (the derivation for that formula isn't particularly easy).
P*V = n*R*T doesn't work for anything other than ideal gases, in case anyone was wondering.
