this is 2750.00 a month, with all food and utilities included. If you work remotely, this would be epic. People saying they couldn't live on the ship for 3 years, yet live in the same house or apartment for longer. The rooms are bigger than a college dorm, with private bath. You are in port every few days, you can get off, explore, see new things, then come back home and move to the next place. I wish I could do this.
That's what I'm saying...this might be on my bucket list
Nah cruises are exhausting, I would need a trial period before I committed
I would do this in 20 years lol... don't think we could tolerate this with our kids
Very true good points made
I live in the same house for half the price and I build equity. I also can travel away from my home whenever I want.
It sounds like an awesome adventure. If I was retired, or if I could completely work remotely and had that money I'd go for it
Internet is crazy expensive on board a ship.
@@mellinsomnia1 i’m guessing that if you pay 33k per year the WiFi is free don’t you think?😂😂
Just use 5g
@@darwinrosario9344 Shit rent in big cities is like 40k/year not inlcuding wifi/gas/water/electricity
Lets not lie, you and I both know even when you retire you wont have enough money to even dream of going on this trip, peasant
$33 k a year to eat, live and travel....actually a good deal
It is. I took a 3-month round the world cruise and it cost me $20 k. 33k for a whole year! That's amazing.
sell you house and live on the boat remotely working, cheaper than living on land and all food included.
Literally lower than my yearly tuition, and by a lot😂
I think that's only the base price. It doesn't include port tax and daily service fee yet. I guess that will make price to $50K. If you want to have meal, drink package and WIFI, I think it will be $80K at least.
How does it only cost 1/3 or less of RC cruise for 1 year.
On paper, this sounds pretty good. But there's no way I could last 3 years on a cruise ship. 2 weeks tops and that's pushing it.
You realize you travel the world and make stops right? You don’t spend the whole three years on the ship😂 I swear to god I’m running in and talking to the dumbest people now a days!! Cmon!
they stop at actual port for a few days or weeks at a time, also so you can fly out of the port your in and fly back to where the ship is. plus youll save alot of money
@@jaxnebcharfski2863 I’m glad someone came to say this. 😂
I think it would be fun. You'd get to see cultures that you only ever see in movies and go to interesting places. Oooo imagine christmas or halloween time.
Honestly, 3 years of not having to cook is enough to tempt me!
I think I’d try a 90 day first and see how that goes. Some of those waters are insanely choppy but the destinations are amazing.
Yeah, I am surprised at how small the boat is. That would probably make me sick.
It’s actually amazing for a young person *if you break down that $33,000 monthly (it’s $2,750) since food, utilities and rent are included. Even room furniture* . Waking up in a new port or country every few weeks is amazing if you work remotely. Not the mention the fact that you can invite close friends/family over to stay in the guest rooms for a few if lonely. Heck you’d make plenty of new friends along the way.
I suspect that is per person, double occupancy.
It is per person in a double. $45k for a single.
What if I get fired after the first year 😂😂
🤣🤣🤣 "Only" 2,750$/Month maybe... Oi what young people are able to afford that? I can tell you *_not most of them._* In my country (Canada) most people under 30 aren't even able to afford to rent some arm-pit-stain broken-down dumpster of an "apartment" (if they can even find one available at all) right now. I work a job that is "well above minimum wage" - corporate and salaried, fully remote... And the cost of this ship per year is still WELL over my yearly salary BEFORE taxes and deductibles. Most young professionals are barely able to make 33,000 a year all said, nevermind making enough after taxes to actually afford this. :'D
I have no doubt plenty of people over 35 could afford this, but what "young people" who are working and need to worry about an income at all (IE: not rich kids, actual working people who have to make their own income and worry about it running out on them) could possibly afford this?? :'D
I'm with the sales lady - I am absolutely shocked they're getting any significant number of people under 30 at all. O_o
$33K per year to travel, eat, and vacation/sighseeing sounds to be a tremendous value. In a lot of US cities you are paying nearly $2K in rent a month.
Once you break it down...it is a good deal. A trip to Hawaii or Vegas for a month would cost way over $2K with food
$2k? More like 5k
In Miami you found a bargain if you only pay 2k for an apartment 😅so 2750 for all inclusive is truly cheap. The only down side is you have to have it all up front. Other than that is a great deal
Yup and with 2k in rent you cant even enjoy your life 😂😂😂😂
That's the minimum/person double occupancy. $45k for a single.
I think anyone signing on thinking they will spend less than $50k will be very disappointed.
The price is phenomenal considering it covers lodging, food, and travel.
Hi Mandy, I am looking for a travel partner for this trip. Are you in? Dan
Who is here after it got cancelled 😂😂😂
I read this trip was cancelled.
I will surely come back with 3 kids from different fathers.
😂😂😂
Best joke! 🤣🤣🐑🐑🇳🇿🇳🇿NZ
😂😂😂
This comment made my whole week 😂
😂😂 oh my
I could do this in a heartbeat! Living on the ocean and seeing the world - a dream come true. BUT I couldn’t book without seeing this ship or at least real photos- couldn’t commit to an animation and wishful thinking.
Same... If I WERE making enough at my job (which is entirely remote) I would do this in a heartbeat! But only if I could tour the ship first, the same way I'd want to tour a new apartment unit or something if I were looking to move in to one.
Smart... Unlike the people who signed up to a non existent ship
My concern is the many crew members...on a normal cruise they work 12 hous a day..7 days a week... and it's hard work. Surely they don't expect someone to work like that for 3 years straight...a follow up on that topic would be great.
I used to work onboard cruise ships as a crew member and everyone onboard has different contract lengths and different vacation lengths depending on the department you work for. If you’re on a three year cruise as a guest or in the case as a digital nomad/ remote worker, the crew will change while onboard including switching between captains
I would come back a completely different person...I may seriously think about this.
Sounded to good to be true and it was
A 3-year cruise!? WOW!!! I think I would do it though! 😍
I couldn’t imagine living on a boat for that long and half the people there are technically on vacation so they’ll feel entitled. My heart goes out to whoever is on the crew
This sounds like an intro to a post apocalyptic movie or show.
What about a murder mystery?
@@orangeSoda35 OMG that would be an awesome murder mystery.
Turns out it was just a get rich quick scheme
@@tomlawrence1335 I saw something pop up on my feed that it was cancelled
@@LadyA728 they never even had a ship
Fyre Festival of cruises 😂
Lol they dont have that ship , that company finnesed them all lol💀💀
Now it’s canceled and they never even had a ship .
Not a bad deal but I wonder how cruisers will handle their regular doctor & dentist appointments.
Holy crap!? I could never commit. But whomever could, can, or will? Do enjoy. Please keep journals, pics, uploads...so we can live vicariously through you. A life well lived. ❤❤
Sudbury, Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦 ✌️
I wonder what the real cost is, including multiple daily tips and other amenities.
When does it stop feeling like a vacation and start feeling like a prison?
Amazing! Sounds like such a dreamy adventure to me.
Just literary came back from my first cruise. It was fun but three years though, I dunno if I would I be able to handle that.
And now it’s cancelled
Aaaand now it’s canceled
That sounds heavenly love cruising 🎉
"Around the world....first stop, Miami."
LOL 😅
I'd want to see real pictures of the ship, spend a weekend on board, try the food, test the wifi before committing. Right now it's an appealing idea but it's still just an idea.
I would so do that…see the world in 3 years, awesome!
This didn't age well LOL
Of course you can get off the ship! The cruise saying that there is no other option but a 3 year package, just means that you have to pay for the full 3 years and use however much time of that you choose
This aged well.....
That’s awesome!!!
Let’s make more of these ships!!
Turns out they didn't even make this ship lol
I would sign up. This looks so fun
Yall advertising this and they never had a ship.
If some cruises can turn into disaster after just days out at sea, 3 years with minimum incidents would be a miracle.
I will definitely add this to my bucket list when we retired 😊
All I can think about is something happening to my family
Hello Dee how are you doing today I hope you’re enjoying yourself…
@@jarrypason9884hello Jarry how are you doing today I hope you're enjoying yourself...
its a phenomenal price
but i hope the amenities offered live up to it
its a good experiment, i hope they get ample data on this
Sounds like it was all a scam. People sold their homes to go. Wow
Aged like milk...
This is some suit life on deck come to life
3 years?! It only took Phileas Fogg 80 days.
HelloSusan how are you doing today I hope you’re enjoying yourself…
I’m heading out to buy more lotto tickets now. Fingers crossed. I want to join the cruise. 😊
if you're working remotely, you could in theory work on the ship lol.
2 weeks maybe, 3 YEARS!!!
Woooowwww! I would totally do this with all those stops 💜💜💜
Ooo gosh. Theres so much to consider. Like if you’re in a relationship or not. If not, what if you find you’re not attracted to ANYONE on the cruise.. yikes
One thing history has taught me..never be on the world's first anything lol.
OMG this is great and awesome.
Wow !! I wonder how many would if they could !! I’m definitely in that group !!!
I am hearing this was canceled
How exciting 🎉I think I could only commit to a month on sea max.. it sounds great,
3 years!
Such commitment 😢
What about the cost of all those shore excursions... not to mention the daily tip added your bill at the end of the cruise assuming around $24 a day x 360 x 3 = $25,920 in tips alone...
There was a ship that was supposed to be out for a year and then the pandemic hit. I don't know what happened with the cruise but it must have been a nightmare. With so much uncertainty in the world it would be scary to be stuck on a ship if a war broke out or if the economy crashed or another pandemic.
Smh. An elaborate scheme.
It does sound nice but I would be worry falling off that thing! Sounds sooo nice!!!
Sounds awesome!
Beautiful ship.
tiny
I love this 😊
My absolute dream 😍😍
this news reporter needs to do some research. this is not really the first of its kind. msc has a ship called the world. basically its a bunch of condos that people own and the ship goes all over the world all year and sometimes will stay in dock for weeks at a time. also im sure there was another pure cruise like this and their doing it again due to how popular it was
This is amazing! Gotta save up 100k :)
33K per year, double occupancy. More like 200K.
@@phrewilly8556 not if you're single, pretty sure plenty of opportunities to hook up with another single over a 3 year span
My husband and I love cruises. But after doing a 15 day cruise we decided, that it was too long. 7 til 12 days is the perfect length for us for a cruise.
Sounds incredible
Cruises are nice but would become homesick and seasick in a matter of weeks
Life at Sea Cruises has officially cancelled its ambitious three-year cruise, disappointing passengers who had booked the voyage. cancellation comes after a series of delays and logistical challenges, leaving behind guests who have spent thousands of dollars on what now appears to be a fairytale turned nightmare.
those passengers are gonna kill each other 😂😂😂
Three years is too long regardless of the stopping and exploring new places UNLESS a large crowd goes like 10 of us, then hell yeah!
Came back to laugh at all those idiots who sold their houses for this obvious scam. Who came up with this, Billy McFarland?
These are all computer generated images. There is no actual ship. Was this a paid advertisement?
How does health care work in a situation like this? Routine check-ups and dental? How do passengers navigate that?
Every RUclips travel blogger will be on it.
Vivian Tries would love this! IFYKYK
Lots of questions: refilling personal hygiene products, mail, filing taxes, prescriptions, getting sick, jury duty notice...etc.etc.etc...your home will be occupied by squatters by the time you return.
As a California resident I should say this price is amazing I wish i had remote work with even minimum wage you can have a luxury life and see all the world
I'd love to take a 3 year cruise.
That's too much commitment for me 😂😭
Inside what? They have no boat 😂
Could not imagine being around strangers for 3 weeks.
100,000 vacation, sounds amazing
If I could afford it and I worked remotely I would definitely do this
I would do this if the ship was the size of the Prelude FLNG and could accommodate as much as the Icon of the Seas.
With all the buffets and unlimited good in cruise ships... I can imagine the weight gain.
But if you take medications, have medical emergency of any significance the cost could go through the roof or be deadly if in storm season
Yeah, I would be down for this.
Imagine that, what an adventure! It’s actually a good price, if you have that kind of money hanging around, or can work remotely. I think 3 years is a bit long, but if that’s something you could tolerate, go for it!
I'm going on my third solo cruise in December, two weeks long. That alone makes me nervous lol.
I did an eight day cruise and that was just enough.
I would absolutely do this in a heartbeat if I was retired and did not have pets. Three years seeing the world, learning about other people, their cultures etc. The problem with Americans is that they have never left their own country and "its all about them". This forces you to see that it is about US not just YOU. i think this would be amazing.
Sell your pets.
You seem to live in your own small world as well… maybe watch too much tv lol. American with 10+ years international travel here. Currently in Australia for my 4th year. There are many Americans that travel, but remember it’s a privilege tot travel. Many from MANY countries cannot do so. Phuuleeze shhhhhh
@@ms.hjohnson6820 37% of Americans have a valid passport. 38% of Americans have NEVER had a passport.
Which Americans are you specifically talking about? There are many different kinds races, cultures, ethnicities there. No need to go anywhere else really.
@@asselstines you can say the same, or even worse for many other countries. your point?
A three year tour . Why’d I want to do this ?
I’ve been on 7 cruises all with different companies. I would love this in the near future. My problem is I need entertainment, and no one does it better than Carnival. If Carnival did something like this, I would so go.
I wonder how many people are still on it by the time it’s over
This didn’t age well
Intriguing..
Sounds super cool and the price isn't bad. Can't help but wonder though if this is what the Titanic advertising felt like. 🥴
