So silly of apple to not include this natively in logic
They do us dirty in the weirdest of ways
They have spotlight, they have Siri. They could do great things with them for Logic. It is the only app they have that do not support search :) Ridiculous.
Exactly right. Apple ought to either buy out this company or design its own system. As well, there ought to be a way to simply save certain plugins in a user folder at the head of the primary menu. Not necessarily the settings, as one would do with channel strips, just plugins....
@@CentaurusRelax314 Well that is actually possible in Plugin Manager
@@vumlux Yeah? Okay, i'll look into that. Thank you ever so much.
Wow. That seems incredibly useful. I can’t understand why this isn’t a standard feature in Logic. Perhaps Apple should invest in this company and work with them to bring a system like this into the app natively. And to be clear, I think they should compensate them fairly and appreciate the expertise that has already been exhibited. I will be adding this tool to my wish list.
What a massive and useful update! Thanks guys!
This is kinda like Live enhancement suite for Ableton. Both are super cool and neat.
Thanks Chris, I just got notice of the update this morning and was wondering how I’d be able to get a feel for the major points of the update. You did a terrific job doing just that. Thanks very much! Keep up the tremendous work! 👍🏼
Chris, this is Dan Worrall-level narration! You really have a way of making concepts clear and enjoyable to listen along to!
Thank you guys, you truly fix logic for people that use big mixing template or anyone coming from pro tools, cubase, etc.
Bravo
IO manager - this is the main reason for me to upgrade to version 4 of PlugSearch! I need it so much!
upgraded. So good!
Wicked upgrade, and thanks for your perfect explanation.
So good and clear review thank you
Apple should really work with the developer of speakerfood. This is CRAZYYYY. Imagine if he could get access to the source code and implements massive tools for logic pro utility! Im pretty sure this will be a penny for apple. IM SOLD!
This is wonderful!
Custom I/O labels per project is a biggie!!! Great update overall. Will try Steam Deck to load plugs--should be fun. Biggest update for me though is the fix for the software extensively taxing the CPU at all times which, for larger projects for sure, makes a big difference.
great Chris!
I have been really smart with my plugin manger.
I have collections of faves & only rarely do I dive into the audio units folder.
with over 400 plugins I have time were im just in discovery mode & I play with things that I dint use often.
"then if I find things love then I ad them to my faves lists.
so I don't really need this.. but I do with that Logic had a search!
This is great. I hope for PlugSearch 5, Speakerfood finds a way to replace Logic's Loop Browser to better include 3rd party sounds. Would love to replace ADSR Sample Manager with something specifically for Logic.
Now this is called an UPDATE ! Fantastic Job ! I have already updated my version. I would just request for one feature which is , search for Instrument library , Channel Strip Preset search , Load/Search for specific instrument .
This is high on the list! ;-)
@@speakerfood8691 Wow . cant wait for that !!
@@speakerfood8691I have version 3, but no upgrade option to 4 :(
MAN THIS IS FREAKING AWESOME. I was hoping there's a way to bring reaper freedom into Logic AND THERE IS thanks to you! If I'm satisfied with logic in 90 days trial, i'll buy this sick thingy thing and gonna be happy with it! You're the best, thanks a lot :)
Great Vid. How did you get LPX MIDI Out to show up in the Input section of Control Grid?
I've sent a feedback note or two to Apple about implementing this kind of thing natively. I'm sure a lot of us have... Why they don't do it is basically user abuse. Imagine having a favorites tab just under the recent plugins list. Anyways, this is a great solution though, while we wait for who knows how long...
Hi Chris,
Thanks for all your nice videos. I wanted to ask If you could do a video about smart tempo when say you took a track and did a stem separation.Sometimes I import the tracks to Logic and normally you should be able to import them if your know the tempo and put the tracks under it at the the same starting point on the grid and all the tracks should sync but no I always get timing problems. There should be an easy way to let Logic analyse them all together so that they are synced when playing them back together.
Thank you.
I was just thinking of something like this. Finding and remembering plugins is task sometimes.
This is a bit off topic but I can't find anywhere an explanation on how to create SDIR files for the Space Designer plugin. I already have all .wav files I need, but how do I create the SDIR ones and where to put them so they will show up at the SD drop down menu? Thank you in advance if you can point me in the right direction.
Quick question, when I hover over a track, I can't use the track search function, unless I hover over the header, where you've the track number. Any idea why I can't search just pressing control over other areas of the track?
These third-party utilities are great gap fillers. I heard there was one to change the interface colors. I would love to see an exploration of that.
I bet it cant get rid of plug ins from plug in manager. I am about 10 years in to not being able to get rid of automap'd plug ins
I'm having trouble with the control grid, it's not showing my stream deck as an input. Anyone know what I need to do to activate it?
Is the whole bundle worth it
cool! but no discount code for upgrade from version 3? :(
Of course, you find it on the website and again during checkout. Reduces the price to $10 if you bought it before January 1st 2024, if you bought version 3 in 2024 the update is completely free.
It’s so stupid that Apple doesn’t do that built in while it’s been in Protools for quite sometime
It’s a give and take for sure. It definitely should be in the daw already. But logic is like 100 times cheaper than protools so paying the extra 10 dollars for plug search is worth it. But there is no “better or worse”. I love both daws
Will this solve the issue of Logic Pro constantly rescanning validated plugins? I'm on trial mode and this issue seems like a no go for me to get Logic Pro. It's like I have to wait 3 minutes every time I want to use Logic Pro.
You can stop it doing this by deleting some preferences. Can’t remember the process but Google it. Very easy
Which version of macOS are you running? I am using 14.4.1 and PlugSearch isn't working correctly.
PlugSearch is compatble on Sonoma, so contact me if you are having issues.
Sure would be nice if the user could rename each plugin with a naming system the user might feel works best for him/herself.
Logic Pro allows you to assign custom names to Plug-Ins, is that what you mean?
You can - in Logic’s Plugin Manager
Unpopular opinion: if you structure your session well and set up logic properly you don’t need this 😅
30 bucks nahhh
Mind... blown!
