The deadzone on this controller doesn't hit diagonals 100% like the Series Controller after updating the firmware. I bought two thinking the first was defective, but it was just the firmware update that causes issues in games like Kingdom Hearts and Nier (Xbox Backwards Compatibility) on Xbox. Contacted support and they gave me the version 1.1 firmware, but that didn't do anything to fix the problem, I sent a reply after testing the update sent in the email and received no answer. I don't look to return the controllers and I don't want a refund, because I genuinely enjoy using these controllers when everything is working. I'm contacting you guys on all fronts because I just want you guys to actually take the feedback I'm presenting, and fix the deadzone on this controller so that all games work as intended on Xbox.
unfortunately i noticed backwards compatible games always have bad analog stick dead zone when using any 3rd party controller. it's such an over sight. I'm a guy that got a retro duke controller and it's unusable playing original Xbox games .
@@steppinonastoop677It really is, like I've been looking into this and I found that most of the stick issues come from 8bitdo using a perfect circle deadzone which cuts off the diagonals too short. I spent the past month emailing 8bitdo about this and they almost fixed it in a beta firmware by expanding the deadzone to resemble the Xbox Series controller's deadzone, but that firmware had an issue with the stick shifting back to the old dead zone on diagonals. I let them know and they went back to the old deadzone reintroducing problems. Perhaps it was a limitation of the hardware or an issue that would have taken too much time to figure out and fix, I'll probably never know. Recently they released a public update saying they optimized the deadzone range but it's the same. Somehow they fixed Kingdom Hearts with the deadzone but depending on if you move the stick counter clockwise it'll occasionally shift back slightly causing the same issues. I also found that in Yakuza Kiwami 2 you can't run in diagonals. I pretty much give up on trying to get them to fix this, because they're probably not going to. Sorry for the long reply, it just really bugs me that they almost fixed it.
I would love to see that same version but being wireless on PC. A charging dock would be awesome too. I'm in love with the white wired pro 2 for the xbox, but i hate to play wired
what's up with the design? that small button below the 4 face buttons and its counterpart below the d-pad is extremely strange. this was done for all the "pro 2" controllers and not just this xbox version.
To anybody who has this controller, is it good using it for fps games. The regular controllers suck ass with their sticks being on different levels and it's honestly very aggravating to try n play with Xbox sticks
Love these please make these same designs for future xbox 💯🙏
very nice controller, it works perfectly
Speak for yourself mine had stick drift out of the box...
Did you manage to return it? Did the deadzone customization help?
Awesome. Wish we could get a removable wire though.
Microsoft are tightgripped about wireless controllers permission
@@jcougar831 he means a wired controller with a removable wire so you can use other wires with it
@@ScrubsWasTaken why Other wires?
@@jcougar831 Because you could get a short in the non-removable cable and unless it's within warranty or you know how to do it yourself, you're stuck.
@@jcougar831 just in case the one it comes with breaks somehow it happened to me with an old ps3 controller the wiring is showing a bit
YEAHHH !! 🤙🏻

@@zan7737 that's why i like 8bitdo, i give them credit for trying. hyperkin or pdp wouldn't give a rats ass how much dead zone there is
@@steppinonastoop677 I guess you're right. I didn't consider that Hyperkin or PDP don't even have firmware updates at all.

Alguém me ajuda, funciona no PC???
The light is blinking, what i should do?

Kinda late reply but yeah it's awesome 😂
How to program back buttons not on manual the p1 and p2 buttons
You can download 8BitDo Ultimate Software to customize button mapping.
Why doesn't this work with my Mac?
8 bitdo please make a controller compatible with the xbox 360
Sorry but the Microsoft is not making more anything for the 360
may i suggest getting an Wingman XB from brooke.
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Funciona no Xbox 360?
No
What are these angles? So perfect So clea So good
Can a regular pro 2 pair with an Xbox?
Nope
How long is the cable
3 meters
Заебись кстати, ещё 2 купил, подарю братану 1й. Оказывается есть ПО для настройки этого контроллера.
I would buy this if there was no wireless communication.
Wireless please
