I like to find these Laserwashes when I'm doing a road trip as a way of getting *some* level of gunk sprayed off without risking swirl marks. I find they work acceptably well with my car having ceramic paint protection, which also helps me dry the car off (I head straight to the freeway/100km/h road after the car wash), until I can finally get home and give it a proper wash.
Like a few people said, if you keep your car clean and run it through a good TOUCHLESS car wash, like for instance, if you have already cleaned it properly a few days ago and you get caught in the rain or something and just want a quick freshen up, I’ve found they work pretty good
I’m a manager at a car wash with a laser wash 360+ there is different chemicals you can use, some car washes use cheap stuff some use the best. The laser washes can be set up to wash your car slower or faster or have the spray arm closer or further away can also do more passes or less. So I would not try one car wash and mark them all with same view. But In saying this, touch free car washes are not for really dirty cars or ones with baked on road grime. They are for someone who goes through every week. But in saying that I would suggest to go into a self serve bay at least once a month as cars need the friction to get the grime off. Just make sure you wash the brush before you use it and make sure you have rinsed the dirt off your car first to avoid scratch’s.
Yes, you are correct that they have dryers, but that isn't all for every car wash, try finding a more modern car wash that has a newer machine (like the PDQ LaserWash 360, search it up if you don't know what that is), newer models like that have dryers that will blow off the water. If the water was blown off the car, then it wouldn't have any waterspots. For the dirt, you can either go to a car wash tunnel with brushes (closed foam cell), but that can cause micro spider-web scratches in the paint. You most likely will want to go to a "Belanger SPINLITE" tunnel carwash instead, it uses the same brush material but then it the brushes don't spin so fast and slap against your car, it sounds rough but in reality it's being gentle on your car, it'll still leave some scratches on your car but that will be barely noticeable, it's new car wash equipment, so you might not find any in your city. Whatever suits your needs, manual handwashing, touch free (preferably PDQ), or soft touch (preferably Belanger Spinlite).
I find if you give your car a good wash then occasionally go through the automatic wash it doesn't turn out to bad but definitely not as good as a hand wash... I have a black car so it is very noticeable
Thanks for providing the review, would love to see more useful reviews like this. I would have thought this would be a great alternative to regular brush car washers but I will stick with my own weekend 3hr car wash and detail!
I always wash my car by hand at home. Twice a year it gets a clean that takes 10 - 12hrs with double layers of polish and wax, air vents cleaned with cotton buds etc etc the list goes on Obviously it get shorter "regular" cleans in between.
The most important phase of a Touchless Car Wash is the entry Jets. They wash the lower portion of the car and wheels. always enter slowly and get the most out of those.
Tried one for the first time. It broke lol and waited for a long time for the guy to call someone to fix it then wash through. It did an okay job, just i thought it would do better when cleaning grass off my car. Tbh hand washing would be soo much quicker and better to clean off. Or that just spray them off first then go through the wash lol
Grey or Silver are the new Black. Good colour for camouflaging the dirt. Never the less, laser wash is still not an effective way nor efficient method to a complete satisfying clean. Old school elbow grease cleaning has always brought out the best and most satisfying results.
no better feeling than after you have just properly cleaned your car.. n mine being black that feeling only last for literally 2 minutes then its dirty again HAHA
Spot free rinse is water and citric acid it eats the water, The soap is caustic solution up to 10% mixed in the carwash with 70% mains water 30% recycled
Great review brother, I’m sorry the laser car wash didn’t work. There is no way I am using laser car washes. Can’t wait for the next video brother. From Jordan’s car reviews.
It’s fine to use the brush, just as long as you pressure clean it first. Can be economical too as I use it to lather up the car just before the time runs out and then just brush it down without the timer running. Always from top to bottom and the wheels last.
It’s something you need to run through on a weekly basis. Once the grimes gone you’ll be good. If you really don’t want friction that is , but friction is the best
I wash my car pretty regularly. I think they work great if you're car isn't to dirty and lucky for me they have new ones poping up here in Melbourne witch are pretty good that have a lot of pressure seem to do a decent job. But obviously you will never beat a hands on wash .
Only ever works “alright” for a slightly dusty car, even then with the blow dry you need to hit it with a drying towel.. and it won’t do anything for the wheels. All in all useless.. good vid🤙🏼
The only one I use is on Ranford road near the 7/11 it's worth it for a quick wash just make sure dry it off I also use the wheel cleaner in the diy wash first some times if it's quiet then go through the touchless wash
If you wax your car or it is ceramic or glass coated, 100% a laser car wash will work as the water will wash off any dirt on the paint. If you don’t look after your paint it is a waste of time.
i guess if its ceramic coated yeh it would dry and clean every thing easily but you could just use the self serve gun then and pay $2 for the same result.. i hear also that the auto car wash will dissolve your ceramic faster?
Touchless car washes are intended to maintain an already clean car. Not detail one that is filthy. It's not Magic. But for its intended use.. nothing beats it.
here in QLD they have staff assist for the top tier laser wash and they hand chamois dry the car and assist with scrubbing with soft brushes all over the car when it goes in, still not 100 percent great though
I'm in one right now! It's currently 4 degrees Fahrenheit and my car is covered in road brine. I use these in extreme weather periods, these best any brush auto carwash for sure not sure it's worth the extra charge though
The only thing those laser washes are good for is if you drive in an area where they use a lot of rock salt like I do it may clean the undercarriage just a little so the only time I got even go through. Those is in the winter time to blast some of the salt off of the undercarriage but soon I won’t have to do that because I’m getting my car treated a Krown rust control.
Mate you’ve got balls testing that on the sexy F6 I would never risk it 😂 Nothing beats a good old driveway wash anyway. Love the vids bro keep em coming 👌👌
if you prewash your car and let the laser wash do the final wash it comes out ok. It's not going to do any better. It just can't remove anything that needs any elbow grease.
All that hard work with the bowdens stuff, only to have it washed off for $18 🙊 about all I do is occasionally use them for the pressure rinse, between washes. Some in my area use recycled water so it never cleans it as it always leaves streaks and spots haha
Did not realize the touchless carwashes were That bad. Good information John. I only use carwashes rarely and in a hurry. Image if you had have dried your car IMMEDIATELY after the was, how badly your paint would be scratched. I'd be pissed. Thanks for the input. Next time have your son wash his car at the same time.
Do these things use recycled water? Is the cleaning agent PH neutral? What type of polish? Wouldn't go near one if your car has ceramatic coating or its a collectable like your F6.
I find these leave too much of the soap they use, sticking to things like the mirrors because the just don't get into the area where the mirrors attach to the doors and the water jets aren't angled to hit the mirrors correctly as they are side on. I've used the one near the Macca's on he corner of Charles & Scarborough Beach Road so other ones might be different.
I love these kind of funny videos man I never knew about these useless laser car washes until now LOL !!! I enjoy washing both my cars physically in the drive way with my high end car care products this shit was so weird and funny a waste of $18
Hahahahaha Johnny they are a waste of money if you love your car you will wash it properly or not at all. Good to see your running the Goodyear Eagle F1 they are a great tyre 😎
You put LASER in the title to make me watch you in a car wash you bastard 😁 That's a crazy ripoff with no drying! my cars paint is not amazing.. but i do wax it and have claybard it.. but still didnt move the dirt at all in that car wash.. if it was ceramic coated it would work but so would a garden hose

if your car is really dirty n your on a long road trip i can see why you would use one.. but in general i would never again touch one
Like a few people said, if you keep your car clean and run it through a good TOUCHLESS car wash, like for instance, if you have already cleaned it properly a few days ago and you get caught in the rain or something and just want a quick freshen up, I’ve found they work pretty good
interesting.. yes few people seem to have had ok results.. mine being a black car tho magnifies any dirt
Need to show this video to the car wash owners. Would love to hear their response
i need a refund!
I'm sure many have gone back and asked fer a refund... All they might offer, if anything, is a Free Kwik Wash - Stuff that LOL

yeh black cars really show any and all dirt..
Nothing beats a bucket and sponge.. or bucket and chamois
elbow grease is the only way to do it right ;)
If you want swirl marks
Chamois are old

The best way mark gotta use that elbow grease 👌 that carwash was a scam!

Am I the only one that thought lasers were going to zap off the dirt??? 😆 Oh well, thanks for the video so I can save my $18
🤣🤣🤣
Spot free rinse is water and citric acid it eats the water, The soap is caustic solution up to 10% mixed in the carwash with 70% mains water 30% recycled
yeh i would never go again...

that scares me lol
The brush scratches your car regardless, dont use it.

fair point i guess.. ceramic coating helps too

thats it cant beat a hand wash
There are some with proper heat air dryers, those work WAY better. Yes I mean touch free washes. There's one in Glenroy for example.
I always find you gotta dry it with something.. maybe if you got good ceramic coating tho
Only ever works “alright” for a slightly dusty car, even then with the blow dry you need to hit it with a drying towel.. and it won’t do anything for the wheels. All in all useless.. good vid🤙🏼
cheers ben.. yeh you really need to dry the car off to make it do anything.. but nothing is better than the old sponge and elbow grease
The only one I use is on Ranford road near the 7/11 it's worth it for a quick wash just make sure dry it off I also use the wheel cleaner in the diy wash first some times if it's quiet then go through the touchless wash
cheers Matt! yeh i think my F6 is destin only for the Home wash from now on
Hey Jono. I wouldn't use them, unless im in a rush, but even still $18 is steep mate. Hand washing is better..
100% i would use the pressure washer it i was in a rush my self would cost $2-$4 max lol and get a better result im sure
If you wax your car or it is ceramic or glass coated, 100% a laser car wash will work as the water will wash off any dirt on the paint. If you don’t look after your paint it is a waste of time.

Yup never liked the automatic car wash.. if you want something done right gotta do it yourself 🍻
100% mate
Touchless car washes are intended to maintain an already clean car. Not detail one that is filthy. It's not Magic. But for its intended use.. nothing beats it.
here in QLD they have staff assist for the top tier laser wash and they hand chamois dry the car and assist with scrubbing with soft brushes all over the car when it goes in, still not 100 percent great though
would be 100% better if it had someone washing/drying it
I'm in one right now! It's currently 4 degrees Fahrenheit and my car is covered in road brine. I use these in extreme weather periods, these best any brush auto carwash for sure not sure it's worth the extra charge though
If your car is ceramic coated they can work ok I’m told
Blown off🤣. That was gold! Also noticed you called your partner "The Misses" and said Bonnett not hood.... Definitely turning into an Aussie!!
🇦🇺 every day i slowly become more BOGAN haha
@Aussie Pom Originally Holden called the station wagon the station sedan.
The only thing those laser washes are good for is if you drive in an area where they use a lot of rock salt like I do it may clean the undercarriage just a little so the only time I got even go through. Great point! Australia doesn’t have that issue tho I guess
Hay mate awesome video's as always just wondering which suberb were you at for the Lazer car wash
this was on great eastern hwy
Ok thanks
Mate you’ve got balls testing that on the sexy F6 I would never risk it 😂 Nothing beats a good old driveway wash anyway. Love the vids bro keep em coming 👌👌
thanks brother! it was for science lol.. conclusion - never ever ever use one.. complete scam.
Wasn't expecting a video of this lol, but definitely necessary scientific testing here 😂👌 P.S Love seeing your subscriber count climb each video 🙌
Thank you! growing a bit slowly lol but still growing :)
I have a PHD now in car wash Science lol
Drove into one of those once and forgot to wind the window up! Dog freaked out
HA! oh man that would freak anyone out i think
$18 for Ultimate wash what a rip off. I thought $12 in Melbourne was bad
i know right!! some people have commented $18 is cheap! WTF lol
if you prewash your car and let the laser wash do the final wash it comes out ok. It's not going to do any better. It just can't remove anything that needs any elbow grease.
definitely didn't do anything for my car haha

it was a total scam for $18 lol.. lucky you guys no better now! ill be sticking to my Bowdens snow cannon as per usual
@@RossReviewsau thanks for taking a bullet on the rig for us!
If you don't have much time and your car is dirty, just wash the wheels. Makes a big difference.
good point
When you walked up to the sign and read the $18 wash i shouted bullshit at the computer, i knew none of that was going to happen to the car.
HAHA.. its totally bullshit eh.. i was very disappointed.. so now you all know not to use these
In UAE. They have guys who dry the car and clean In and out of the car for you.
That’s what you need!
Interesting video Jono, I'm definitely not going to use the touchless wash, thanks mate👍
thats it mate.. no way would i ever go back!
I'll stick to the Bowden's with a Happy Ending!
the best stuff!
Did not realize the touchless carwashes were That bad. Good information John. I only use carwashes rarely and in a hurry.
Image if you had have dried your car IMMEDIATELY after the was, how badly your paint would be scratched. I'd be pissed.
Thanks for the input. Next time have your son wash his car at the same time.
oh man it was shocking! i thought it would do better than that.. literally washed nothing.. total scam
Hey so do you just use the snow cannon and rinse and call that washed or do you bucket wash as well and dry?
$18 automatic car wash is actually cheap/standard...
thats insane!
You may as well have smeared dog faeces over the paintwork. It works to keep tailgaters off.
that car wash did jacksh#t
Do these things use recycled water? Is the cleaning agent PH neutral? What type of polish? Wouldn't go near one if your car has ceramatic coating or its a collectable like your F6.
yeh this was not a great experience to say the least!
Well they should have personnel ti wipe some the car. Any car wash would leave spots without a wipe and shine.
I never seen a touchless car wash product work even with high pressure
yeh this 100% did nothing
That back tyre is 7 years old you can see the date on tyre 4614
🤫🤫🤫👨🦯👨🦯👨🦯 I see nothing
I find these leave too much of the soap they use, sticking to things like the mirrors because the just don't get into the area where the mirrors attach to the doors and the water jets aren't angled to hit the mirrors correctly as they are side on. I've used the one near the Macca's on he corner of Charles & Scarborough Beach Road so other ones might be different.
yeh i wouldn't recommend ever again.. maybe their are some that are better.. but this one i went to was terrible.. did 0 to clean anything
Yep, went for the 1st and last time today
Lol never going again
Man, they robbed you hardcore! thanx for the heads up!
seriously! i need to find the owner
Some do have dryers. Its a good quick wash. Good video was a good idea
cheers johno!
ye I tried it once and it just shifted the dust around
yeh thats literally what it did on mine.. cleaned 0 haha
Where is the car wash located at i need address please
They never get my rims clean
I get the car wash and then use the bowdens wheely clean for the black rims
YES bowdens stuff is the best..
Good old fashioned elbow grease always the best 👌🏽
You are not wrong brother! Avoid these auto wash places total scam
Great video! Interesting to see this have tried these before and it just wasn't the best, but at the same time I'm super lazy ahaha
Thanks for watching! the results where very... interesting lol
Most other car washes have drying functions
it should, especially for $18
Never use the brushes on the diy carwash. Stones and shit all through it from the 4x4 gang.
agreeed!
Kers225 ABK....Thats why there is a big arse sign that says "hose brush before use" never seen that matey ?...
You got a cheap one lol most will have the drying feature which helps a lot. Still for the time it takes it saves a sore back and arms lol
thats insane! cant imagine paying anymore
A Nice PDQ Laser Wash m5!
Thanks! I just saved myself $20
"spot free rinse" is just demineralised water
It’s a scam
Does anyone know if these washes use deionized water?
Probably not. Water softener system at most. DI systems are expensive and require maintenance
I love these kind of funny videos man I never knew about these useless laser car washes until now LOL !!! I enjoy washing both my cars physically in the drive way with my high end car care products this shit was so weird and funny a waste of $18
glad you enjoyed it man! cost me $18 that was a hard pill to swallow after the state the car was let in once i got it home!
If I can see through the windows the car's not dirty
😬
I'll never use a laser wash again after it stripped my clear coat off my roof.
NEVER AGAIN!
I go there get the bulk of the dirt of then I go home and finish it there
if you where 4x4ing this makes sence
I would have been so annoyed with that ! Whoever is taking that money needs to be exposed 😂 that does a horrible job ..
It’s shocking eh! Total scam
Hey Ross, the first 3 comments are scams. Can you report them or something
reported cheers
Hahahahaha Johnny they are a waste of money if you love your car you will wash it properly or not at all.
Good to see your running the Goodyear Eagle F1 they are a great tyre 😎
its a total scam eh!
yes im lucky to be running them thanks to the previous owner of the twists HAHA
For $18 dollars terer better be no dirt.
where is the laser ?
You put LASER in the title to make me watch you in a car wash you bastard 😁
That's a crazy ripoff with no drying! Were the water softened the drive home in a wet car will pick up bulk dirt regardless. Odd.
I use an identical make occasionally but it has the blower function and is a few quid cheaper. Good enough for the convenience.
I use almost all Bowden's gear otherwise, it's beaut
haha its a LASER car wash.. at least thats what they say! i reckon its a scam from how my car got washed.. but now we all know.. better stay home and use some bowdens gear
18 bucks, you’ll get a quick squirt down from me lol
🤣 would be a better job than this
I could of told you this....
lol.. gotta make some content
@@RossReviewsau 👍
Saved myself some $$ watching this 🤙🏼
never use them total scam.. i want my $18 back
What so they don’t even dry it tf😂
No mate it's all a con, nothing can clean a car as good as a human using a bit of elbow grease, but at least you know once & for all buddy.
totally agree
Definitely a waste of $18 Jono, cheers for letting us know about these shithouse car wash joints!
was a total scam! lol 100% avoid them
I would go back and ask for my money back!
Yup
Shocking
What's the undercarriage wash like on these? Crap I assume haaha
I wash my own cars
the best and only way it should be done
Comically bad carwash for $18!!
terrible!
Also would be better if car was white ig 😂
The laser washers in Melbourne have the blow jobs (especially the St Kilda one 😂) errr I mean blow dryers... Laser washers are great, but only after a really good coat of wax/polish plus rainx (the stuff you put on your glass which applies like wax and then buffs off but it's actually a liquid)...
