I see lots of complaints about these kind of car washes not working. Well geniuses, they're not for you once a month washers who drive in dirt and mud. They're more for people who have nice cars and keep them clean and spend good money to have them ceramic coated and would rather not use a car wash that uses brushes that can harm the coating and the paint on the car. It's a gentle car wash for people who take care of their cars. Drive safe.
Steve, For $7, weighed against all of the labor to do it yourself, this is a very good deal. When I was 19, washing my car was fun. That hasn't been the case, starting when I was 20...
I used to get my truck washed in this type of wash as far back as 2003 for over ten years I had the truck .This kind of wash does a good job if you keep your vehicle fairly clean most of the time .I always would had my dry towels in the truck to dry the truck down after I got through the drier part because they are not great and with an open pickup bed the drier blows water from in the back of the bed all over the back of the dry cab and glass .It would only take me 5 minutes or so after the wash to wipe down the water so this terrible hot California sun wouldn't spot it up.It saved me a lot of hours of hand washing over the years so I like these .
if your car to dirty and it can't get out all the dirt, the clear coat will clear coat the dirt right on to the car...so if I do this type of car wash I just chose the cheapest wash no clear coat...
In my opinion, touch less wasves are better mainly for the fact there are very low chances of scratches. May sound like a little thing but the scratched can sometimes lead to rust
Spot free rinse is not just soft water. It’s supposed to be distilled water. Water spots are from calcium in the water and distilled water doesn’t have that.
It would of been better if you would of shown the truck before and after, all we are seeing is the aftermath, your truck didn't look all that dirty in the first place, so is it worth it. You have shown nothing but how it work and how it could look.
After my calculations, I might be wrong, math is not my strong suit, but here in Norway, one gallon of unleaded petrol (95 RON) would be around $7.31. Diesel is slightly cheaper, but not by much. Approximately, one liter of fuel is 2 dollars (Diesel 1.85$-1.95$). And given it's 3,7 liters in one gallon, my math should be somewhat correct.
I can't imagine that doing much good up here in the salt & rust belt. Superficially, yeah, but most rust starts under the wheel wells here. I worked at a car wash when I was just trying to get on my feet and I remember on a hot day like today a lime green 911 doing a burnout across several lanes of traffic. First time I ever saw how much power they have.
I get on the highway and that helps dry my truck. The clear coat spray can leave spots noticeably on tinted windows. I've read that you can use quadruple zero steel wool on windows to get hard stains out.
@@adventsociety5382 0000 steel wool does not scratch glass and is indeed used to clean them very well when clay bar won’t do this trick. yes I am aware your comment is 2 years old.
I saw another Touchless Car Wash video where the guy drove through the drying part a couple of times. Pulled through, backed up and when through again before his time ran out. I guess you'd have to make sure no one was behind you. Seemed to dry his car well. Maybe use a spray wax or detail spray after wash with the mircrofiber towel.
Do you think the Explorer would fit in there? Most car washes won't accommodate a motorhome. It kinda sucks 'cause the truck washes will charge between 40 - 50 bucks to wash my Chinook and I'm just too darn lazy to do it myself.
Hey! Your doin it wrong!!!! High pressure does what to wax? Haven’t used touch less in years, never worked well, always a film of dirt. WTH? Premium $1.75 Costco in Louisiana! Good to know Touchless works. Hi Cosmo!
If the vehicle is clean to begin with I find it very good, but when you have a dirty vehicle and definitely in the winter, does a crap job. Sure it gets some off but it still looks dirty
I had a question from the dear channel owner of this: How do you rate the system today (as of 2021)? Are you still using it? Y/N and why? All the best from Sweden
Hey Steve...On the topic of the Blue Oval Ford Logo that separated on your truck, I see them separate here in New York also. Several vehicles in a parking garage on my way to work the other day. I'm surprised there isn't a recall of sorts, that you can go to Ford with your damaged logo and they will swap you a new replacement? Perhaps nobody has called Ford out on this and they profit from selling replacements?
Question, is there a way to stop/emergency stop an automatic touchless car wash while in your car? I had a situation where I needed to get out of it. I was curious if driving forward would stop it or anything the driver can do to stop it mid wash if needed wheather it be malfunctioning wash and is damaging vehicle. Or it's a personal emergency and need to get out.
@@XplorerSteveDIY this location closes the doors front and back lol. I'm sure they have sensors. I was curious if the arms that go around your vehicle would stop if you drive forward.
I just went to one of these touchless car washes & at best I say that it’s a convenience item! If your car is really dirty this is not going to solve your problem, as this is like throwing water on your car & expecting it to actually clean your vehicle! So I drive a Tesla & I don’t recommend you going to these automatic car washes, so I’ve never had my car washed that way which I am used to doing with my other cars, so I found this car wash where they hand wash your car for $25 dollars outside only & $35, if you want the inside done too & they do a terrific job job & I can guarantee you, your vehicle will be clean after they’re done with it! So in between washes I will go back to this touch less car wash, but if I really want my car clean & sparkling, I’m going to the guys who hand wash the cars! So as a convenience item this is great, but if you really want your car thoroughly cleaned go to the guys that wash your car by hand!👌
those are great if you want to spend 2 hours of your day waiting and also the car wash he went to is near my house. You can buy a monthly pass for 19.99 and wash as many times as you like, I go once or twice a week so my car stays clean and new looking.
Cheese Head Likes - It is $2.79 a gallon in Wisconsin - I washed my car yesterday and paid $7.00 and not a drop of water came out - so it was a touch-less and water-less car wash - wish our town had that car wash....
No new owners but the equipment is old and does not work half of time - I was surprised to watch machine go around my car with nothing coming out - hopefully they refund my money. I should just go somewhere else. I should just manually wash it - I think it does a better job - better pressure and control
Good review. The touchless car washes in Western Washington have to the best of my knowledge all gone away. Not good enough for the snow/mud combo we get in the worst winters. Even the brush types don't get the yellow stickey pollen off in the spring.
Cool wash. I was just thinking wow, gas is cheap in Vegas. Then you mentined its expensive. In L.A. Chevron avg $3.85 for reg gas. Ill take the Vegas price any day
True, but a hand wash is good exercise and a great way to initiate small talk with your neighbors. Next thing you know they invite you over for Christmas dinner and who doesn't want that?
Terrible Herbst! My favorite Las Vegas gas station chain! It's 3.05 a gallon by my house but in Indiana its still under $3. I paid 2.82 the last time I filled up using the Gas Buddy app.
Xplorer Steve DIY it's a good app when traveling. At home I already know where the cheapest gas is. Costco. There are several AM/PM stores right nearby keeping the local Costco's honest. Where there is no nearby AM/PM, gas is higher at Costco.
Walt's Channel I use it local and on the road. I get close to Costco prices, sometimes beating them. I quit Costco a couple of years ago. I also feet discounts from grocery stores and my cell provider.
Hey for $7 you really can't beat that, though your truck looked quite clean already, you could NOT pay me seven dollars to do that so I say its good, but you didn't do the works car wash either.
Get a good fuel economic car and limit your driving plus keep your tires properly inflated and maintained. If your main problem is cost of fuel, you are damn lucky! Keep your perspective and look at those who are much less fortunate than you.

The best part was to see the Chevron price showing 3.25$. Good golden days.
I would buy some good quality MF towels, a hand pressure sprayer and some Optimum No Rinse Solution.

There's a new car wash going up in my area. Hope it's like this one!
You should get the most expensive wash next and compare it to the cheapest.
I think I will try it after a good rain and dust storm to see if it can handle that.
