Beautiful song, as all of Biffy Clyro's songs are. They have that spark that never seems to disappear when you listen to their music, no matter how many times you hear it. It's great when you find a band what means so much to you and never seems to disappoint. For me, that's Biffy.
Hope they didn't really meant to throw much literal (not just imagery, metaphor...), heartfelt religious implications into this one, or elsewhere for that matter. I'm far too much of an atheist to take it, you know...
I'm a bit too old for gigs now. : ( But I found Biffy Clyro through RUclips, I then heard them on Radio One. Maybe, when a whole lot of other people find a good band just as I have done, does that make the group "mainstream" even if the band doesn't change their format or sound? Then it is as Tonysguboriau says, just a classifcation, nothing more. : )
Calling all Biffy fans! New Biffy Forum! biffyclyroforums,co,nr Im a huge fan of these guys and noticed that there wasnt any forums online for biffy clyro, so I decide to make one for all us biffy fans so we can talk about the band and what not! Looking for mods! Mon the Biffy
12 years passed since you left this comment. but who knows - maybe you will see my answer and maybe you still wants to know about it) A lot of comments in the internet says that Simons`s mother had a bone cancer and he tried to find a proper bone transplant, that`s what mean the first lines in the lyrics
On the money! Thats exactly the correct approach as being known as "mainstream" is merely a classification, nothing more than a mere label. That will never change the artistry, inspiration and integrity of a band of the calibre of Biffy. Thus, mainstream or not, Biffy are Biffy! x
They've actually already done three US tours since July of 2007. They were on Warped Tour, opened up for Queens of the Stone Age, and opened up for The Editors. They are coming back to the US for a few dates with Say Anything this Spring.
It's in a lyrical realm between reassurance and hesitation which keeps travelling on haphazadly but never resolves into any exact place or mood. Just a sort of unemotional, unanswered calm.
Might be, yet the mood is quite different. The Heads were witty and sardonic. Not even their name was chosen by chance. They were more head- than heart-guided. But well, their mind games were delicious, too.
to benthebiff... think that this is about addiction and drug use. it's bigger than us, bigger than anything it decides to touch! think when he's talking about the guy on the corner selling bones, he is reffering to drugs. "such a lonely ride". Could also be about mental health.. depression. he talks about the only escape being sleep. could also be about withdrawl... god knows!! that's what i get from it anyway.

Chills , every single time I hear it!
Yep, but as far as beautifully crafted art goes, I see no way one could regret letting this great tune invade you.
