when i heard the end bit, i didnt know it was the cd. so i was staring around my room completely shit scared thinking it was my mind. luckily when it finished the cd player clicked to say it'd stopped. brilliant though!
If have to close an album I'd go with: Pause it, Wake Up Dead Man (U2, Pop), Cedars of Lebanon (U2, No Line On The Horizon) and Road Trippin' (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Californication)...4 beautiful lyrics, a full of emotions.
Great stuff. Very prog. My only complaint is that it isn't long enough. Know what I mean? I want to hear a full-blown alternative prog epic that is actually 25 minutes long.
I find that a lot of their earlier stuff sounds like prog epics condensed into pop song length. Imagine if Genesis did a five-minute version of Supper's Ready, or if Jethro Tull had tried to squeeze Thick as a Brick into four minutes. If I had a band (which I don't) I would do a version of this song which would be seven minutes at the very least, and maybe incorporate some elements of 9/15ths in the middle.
i've been walking in shoes laced with poison through the grief of your distractions, looking over seems like something is missing, i have burnt a hole in your conscience.. i'm so sorry i didnt mean what i said, i still love you screams the arquitect of us, i'm trying to tell you with this words that i love you and i'm sorry.. i'm sorry
@samhuntification Being mainstream doesn't mean you can't experiment with music. I mean, look at Tool. They're mainstream, and some of their songs are weird as
some twat has this song labeled on here as 'the fog' from opposites, funnily enough he deleted my comment pointing this out, obviously aimed at the really new biffy fans who may not have heard this..... great tune!!!
anyone else ever fallen asleep listening to this album and seriously regretted it?
I didn't know about the hidden track after this song and half woke up one night/early morning to it playing, and I was freaked the fuck out
the best "last song on an album" ever
Man;
I love this song.
2.20 onwards sends chills down my spinee.
I turned it up without pausing it.
The poem at the end is nothing short of beautiful.
This is so inredible! So much passion. It's so sad that they will (probably) never write anything so beautiful again.
I can't believe I used to not have this on my MP3 player just because of the silence in it. Glad I've cut it up and put it on there now, tis awesome.
Because you're A Saint, that's why...the cutting of the time.
thriving fire's words tenfold.
HHAHAHA
amazing,
my fav "slow " biffy song,
epicly atmospherically ambient.

OKAY. it's tradition feed
1:48 onwards is just musical art in my opinion

Jesus this channel is so old
part of me wishes he hadn't chosen to sing the poem at the end, because I think lessens its effect. Still beautiful though :)
It sounds like…insanity.

Haha I remember that! A few of my friends were saying 'have you heard the fog, new Biffy Clyro song' I was furious 😂
@liechtenstein321 It is kinda creepy
Biffy go a bit Phil Collins, see 'long long way to go', especially last 30 secs of both.
