thats where local bands come in handy.its great seeing biffy finally getting what they deserver,it would be a crying shame f their music wasnt made worldwide, its deprivation of the masses!
the more people who are in the biffy the merrier! ill hate having to wade through so many people at gigs and it being harder to get tickets blah blah but biffy are gonna do well from it and they deserve all the recognition and respect they get.
I only just got The Vertigo Of Bliss yesterday, and I think this song is fantastic. I'm glad that they became popular, because if it wasn't for Semi-Mental and Saturday Superhouse, I wouldn't have gotten into them, and now I have all their albums. I think Mountains is pretty encouraging too. =]
I love Biffy clyro so much. I remember seeing them on the Blackend sky tour when no-one had never heard of them and then one day is saw this guy with a t shirt on and I just yelled MON THE BIFFY at him. good times from a great band
I adore this song-not 100% sure what the lyrics actually mean when they were written but they mean something specific to mean and I always have a tear in my eye. Mon d Biff
I'm just getting into them, man it's so exciting. What a fucking phenomenal band, I now understand the fanaticism you guys have (and soon I'll be one of you :)
My brother got me into Biffy when Blackened Sky was released, think I was like 10 or something so I didn't exactly get the chance to see all the amazing gigs. Only seen them twice now and it's been all modern stuff :( still very good shows though.
definitely, the most amazing lyrical piece ive heard from any band is convex concave by biffy, and this song also has incredibly moving lyrics. amazing band.
this is amazing, never seen a live performance of this song before but i love it! and i agree with downie123 that they have gone mainstream but who cares? most huge bands do that anyways and its because biffy are amazing! muse are another example of more mainstream stuff on a later album! but best scottish band ever! MON THE BIFFY!
Yes, there are 2 versions of All The Way Down, Chapter 2, with slightly different music and very different lyrics. You'll find one on Biffy's first single, iname, although there were only ever a few hundred copies pressed. The other version, which I and many other fans regard as way better, you'll find on the 7" vinyl version of the Joy.Discovery.Invention/Toys, Toys, Toys, Choke, Toys, Toys, Toys double-A-side single. Which is almost as rare as iname. Good luck... :)
u should be happy that they've hit the mainstream though! yea i bet ur proud of been a fan all the way through but they've been going so long they deserve everything they r getting
I have seen them 13 times now and have loved every gig...theres always amazin but I do miss the early gigs when they toured with the Vertigo of Bliss (there best LP so far) album the passion and guitar playing from Simon was very special...the newer stuff isn't as complex playing wise, still sounds fcking good thou
Same... although i'd just be really happy.. My concern is that when "classic" songs are mentioned with biffy and anything they have done on radio and TV its not been anything before Puzzle... which is a shame. The first three albums gave them Loyal and true fans who they seem to be shunning at the moment.. :(
I was at this gig, not as good as the early small shows but an amazing show anyway..only wish they could remain unknown for a couple more years, selfish bastard I am. Mon the biffy!
wierd, when i bought vertigo of bliss, i walked home with it in my cd walkman (lol) and remember thinking, "fuck this album is not what i expected i dont like it", about 2 weeks later i listened to it again, and since its been round about ym favourite album, up there with jeff buckley n shit
The same thing happened to me with Muse. I was gutted when they hit the big time. Goodbye small venues, goodbye easily getting tickets, hello fucking newbies who show up knowing 2 songs! Have u noticed how half the crowd at Biify gigs now go silent when anything off the 1st 3 records is played?
What are on about!! i was at the front singing my heart and so were a lot of other people! so dont think ur all big and the only one who song cos u wernt!
@afcblandi No, The Captain is their best song. Now, you wanna kill me. Haha just kidding, personally I don't think that's their best song, I think Vertigo Of Bliss got all their best songs.
What are on about!! i was at the front singing my heart and so were a lot of other people! so dont think ur all big and the only one who song cos u wernt!
Holy shit!! This was more than 10 years ago, where'd the time go? Oh god!
thats where local bands come in handy.its great seeing biffy finally getting what they deserver,it would be a crying shame f their music wasnt made worldwide, its deprivation of the masses!

VOB was such a good album....it's a crying shame Puzzle lacks songs of such sheer quality like this.
This is too good.

this is the biffy i grew to love not the pop imposters that were left with
This is their magnum opus! I doubt they'll ever write a better song than this
fucking Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
if a big band released this song, it would be critacally acclaimed and huge
I was at this gig, not as good as the early small shows but an amazing show anyway..only wish they could remain unknown for a couple more years, selfish bastard I am. Mon the biffy!

When we collide...
the three who dislike this will go "all the way down" TO HELL
Mon the fucking biffy forever.

@JOSHMAKESFILMS I am having similar feelings about seeing them at Reading in a few weeks. I think I would lay an egg.
and i'm a human.
When did they stop wearing shirts?!
@afcblandi tru dat - up the Ayrshire massive!
How can I tag a band? :P
bec ause wen they go mainstream they trade songs like this for songs like whole child ago or the conversation is thats why
lucky bastard
When are they playing Canada?
Go on Stu! Seriously like haha
What are on about!! i was at the front singing my heart and so were a lot of other people! so dont think ur all big and the only one who song cos u wernt!
Dunno, but renegade free spirits don't need shirts.
