That's brilliant mate. It's my old van that was called toothless as when we just got it we went over to Belgium, and my middle boy lost his first tooth there, so a perfect match 👍 This new one has been called starky due to its colour scheme as it also came to us with gold wheels, the colours of iron man 😃
Hi Matt, it is just fixed back by a few screws through my wooden boards and into the carpeted seat back which has a thin wooden panel behind it from the factory. Hope that makes sense buddy 🙏
Hi buddy, appreciate your positive comments. I have just been out and measured for you and each piece of 15mm Ply measures 140cm across and 41cm tall, so when they are folded out flat gives me a base of 140cm width and 82cm length. Hope that all makes sense buddy 🙏 👍 Cheers. Simon.
Hi love the bed just wondering where you got the legs from?also is there any way you could show us the parcel shelf working and maybe a dimension drawing so that us unlucky ones could try to make something similar?keep up the good work brilliant videos many thanks 😊 jon
Hi Jon, thanks for your kind comments buddy. I'll be working on the van this weekend due to a suspect duff distributor, so will look to get the dimensions of the parcel shelf etc foe you then. The legs I bought from amazon, they're folding shelf hinges originally, I'm just using them upside down 👍
Thanks for the link for the brackets which size did you get?also I need to do my door panels as per your video what thickness ply did you use 3.0mm or 3.6mm im finding it hard to source 3mm. So glad I found your video I've been looking for these jobs to do for ages
Hi mate, greetings from Australia. I am looking at something very similar in my 89 Caravelle GL as well. Just wondering how those hinged shelf legs are holding up after 6 months of use. I assume you would climb on and off the bed from inside meaning they would need to take a fair amount of weight and force. Also, do the legs get in the way when lying flat when you need to use that cargo area to put large/long objects on top of? (see position at 08:20 in video to see what i mean)
Buenas tardes muy bonito video felicitaciones . Yo tengo una camioneta soy de uruguay .

@@juliephillipd1765 from memory it was the 22" brackets. But I will double check for you. 3.6mm Ply is perfect for the door cards 👍
