I have been searching endlessly for a back seat like the one I have in my van to figure out how to lay down the seats for a bed! I love what you did and will be making a video on how to duplicate what you did!
Dude.....great solution. have the same seats and also didnt want to go down the Rock and Roll route, Very clever solution. thanks for the concept. Will give it a try
@@LarcsWorkshop managed to get it done in a couple days using ply. ..the fold out board is not as clean as yours but does the job. Think I'll plagiarise further and go aluminium as well at some point
hmmm... bought a syncro without a rear seat, but there is a frame and it looks like it might be a folding bed, hmmmm I like this idea here, keep the stock rear seat and it might even be better to be higher up in the vanagon...
Ooo I'd love a syncro😍. I find the original rear seats really comfortable, my daughter and her friends agree. Being a bit higher up allows for a little more storage too👍. Good luck. Cheers Larcs 😃
@@grahamlewisdiy3897 Yes, I've got a couple of straps that hold it rolled up and store it in polythene bags. I'll look out for the videos 👍. Cheers Larcs.

Мужик ты молодец! Самый простой вариант раскладки дивана.
👍
Perfect idea thanks for sharing!
No problem🙂.

Hi, clever solution. how did you attached the lower aluminum sheet to the seat, and which screws/bolts did you used ?
Wow, this was a long time ago. IIRC I drilled and tapped the seatback metal frame and fixed the ali sheet to it with 6mm countersunk screws.

nice idea ,,only draw back being is you need some ventilation holes in your ally sheet
Thanks for your comment, I'm not sure why I would need ventilation holes in the ally sheet?
@@LarcsWorkshop the reason being is because the body perspires whilst sleeping ,hence the bedding would become damp causing many problems
@@eddielloyd4070 Thanks, I'll have to sort that out 👍
Nice job 👍🏻 I’m looking to do similar on my T5.
That's great, keep us all informed on how you get on. You going to do a video on it?
Cheers, Larcs.
@@LarcsWorkshop Yes, I'm documenting it all on my channel. What do you do with the mattress, roll it and tie it?
