Your videos are very interesting; even as a Salvadoran, I am learning a few things through them.
    - The Airbnb's electricity bill sounds odd. We work from home and use a lot of electricity: ACs, multiple TVs on all day, my gaming/work PC is on 16 hours per day, we use the microwave frequently, and the washing machine, multiple PCs and devices. And the bill is around $120/month.
    - I didn't know that the water works like that in that part of San Salvador. We live in Santa Ana, where there's no water shortage-we get water from Anda 24/7, and most houses here don't even have a cistern because it's so rare to not have water.
    - We have a water filter installed by Vidri, but it's just for the kitchen with one faucet. What your friends did-having a main filter for the whole house-is very clever. I'll look into getting one.

Yeah I wonder if that AirBnB host was running a mining operation in the locked bedroom in that house! Then she tried to say that we damaged property and put a claim through AirBnB against us looking for $1400CAD more. No way, we didn’t pay that. I think she was out to price gouge us for the electric bill. Which I saw as they put it under the door so I did see the amount was what she told me.

$876 Cnd dollars for electricity 😳 the hot air coming from the outside to the inside. I keep all windows close during the hot days and opening at night also the roof can be too low. I don't use air conditioning only fan at night.

Yeah. We did give her nearly half and then she tried to go after us for damages to a sofa. We refused to pay that. She is untrustworthy. I am sure AirBnB gave her that money as they sided with her.

We only opened the windows after we turned off the AC after we got that bill.

We have some good friends here who are helping us navigate everything. The only one that we had who tired to rip us off so far was our AirBNB host, but we didn't let her do that to us and AirBnB would have resolved it with her. We are very happy here so far.

Hello! we started watching your videos yesterday night & we liked them a lot, we appreciate sharing your experiences so far because we are in a similar situation where we are in the process of leaving quebec, Canada for the same reasons as your family , we have strong christian values & want to protect our 2 kids...can you please share the name of the company that sent the shipping container & the approx prices? we're thinking a 20 foot would be enough for all our stuff, we're selling our house & then off we go!...planning on airbnb for a couple of weeks then rent a house long term or maybe even buy one if possible with btc....any extra info would be greatly appreciated, God bless!

Our email address is youtube@hagenaars.com, send us an email with your phone number on WhatsApp and we can give you a call. I still have my Canadian number on Fongo if you don't have WhatsApp but if you do not have WhatsApp now, you will want it when you get here as literally everything runs on WhatsApp. I will do a video about the shipping experience once our container arrives, mid November, and we have everything cleared through customs (maybe mid December, not sure how long it will take), that has been a crazy experience so far. On the call we can tell you all that you need to do before packing anything up too, things we wished we were more clear on before we packed our boxes. Also we had a bit of an "experience" with our AirBnB that we didn't anticipate here that I never mentioned in a video and I would love to share that with you before you book something. Do you guys have a date in mind? We were planning on coming here since July 2023 and only got here in August 2024, more time than I would have liked.
