Hey Mac! The quilt at 14:28 is from my friend Ian (aka the Off Kilter Crafter Ian here on RUclips) - he made that on a livestream with me and his quilter did an AMAZING job!
Hey Becca guess who I met while in Florida? Kathy! This world is so small she was absolutely lovely. I'm gonna go find Ian's quilt now, I bet it's amazing. I can't believe he did it on a live, that's amazing.
Whaaaaast some one who had a quilt in the show finally found my teeny tiny channel. I'm not sure which one it was but I'm betting it is stellar. Congratulations on getting into a show that is no small feat. I hope to run into more quilts of yours.
Oh, dear, you did a GREAT JOB showing the quilts! I just had major back surgery and when I came across this it made my night. I don't know who you are but Thank you for posting!!!!!❤ Stay safe and that care!😊
Great quilts. I have a question: are there any rules about where and/or how often one quilt can be shown? This is my 3rd video tonight - over three show in three years. Yet I am seeing the same quilts again - some for the 3rd time! Especially some prize winners. Isn't there some etiquette of "give someone else a chance"? Or is it like horse races...enter til you someone beats you? And if they don't win anything, is there a point after which you retire a work? Case in point: the Best In Show, keeps winning 'best in show'. I know the monetary prizes are large. Can a really good quilter make a living at entering the same quilt again and again?
@@MACoutureCrafting huh, thanks for the info. I guess my mental picture of sweet quilting ladies entering their bed covers into county fairs has got to go.
What to do with stripes? By Cindy Olson. I think this is a perfect example that less is more- as the quilting accentuates the stripes and does not cut them up and obscure them. Machine quilting often takes over the quilter's workmanship.
This is such a true statement. Some quilts are more about the quilting. I'd actually argue that modern quilts focus more on the design and piecing and traditional quilts are more about the quilting at least in regards to the categories and who is winning.
Thanks for taking us thru the quilts on display. What a treat.
It's my pleasure
Thank you for the tour! Your time & kindness is super appreciated by all of us who could not attend. You are amazing!❤️❤️❤️
I'm so happy to bring these to you.

I did! So glad to see it hanging in the show! Mine was the one at 14:32.
@OffKilterCrafterIan found it and I love it. That yellow orange sashing was a gorgeous decision with amazing quilting. Go you!
@@MACoutureCrafting Thank you!
Once again, thank you so much for doing this!

Sooo the rules change for different shows. They send the quilts on tours of all the shows and they clean up! There is tons of double dipping

@suzannecooke2055 they still do that too. But the bug shows are big buisness.
Geniuses.
I agree
