I love Khanyi's honesty. The fact that she owns her story and is unapologetic about her experiences is admirable. (I still think the colourism is a problem though)
I 100% agree with that statement ... I think her colourism is from her family. I hope she addresses it one day because she is so open about everything else but this .
I once met her personally when she was still with Mandla Mthembu, and when I tell you that she is sooooo sweet and humble, she has presence and she even said she loved my jersey that I had on that day. Nothing pretentious about her ♡ 100%.
I've never been on the Khanyi hate train and will never be. Khanyi changed the face of SA celeb culture. A pioneer, a phoenix. I'm so glad she's still thriving, Love you girl 💖💖
First time i saw her I was in awe. Then we spoke and right there and then I felt like I had to address her as ousi Khanyi. I have Theee most utmost respect for her. Such a genuine lady
Her daughter is sooooo blessed to have her as a mom. So much authencity. Yes Khanyi Mbau is really really slept on. She is really smart😭💯💯💯💯💯💯 she's really in her bag, in her prime and in her own LANE
MacG, I hope this interview is saved and archived somewhere important. We will never find another person who has lived her life so publicly, made her mistakes so publicly yet still comes back to reflect on it so thoughtfully. I am in awe of the maturity in her reflection, the detail in her reflections and how she sounds like she has done the psychological work that makes it possible for us (as the public, as onlookers, as haters, as judgemental pricks) to never break her. One day someone will write this biography and it will be great. Thanks Khanyi.
I felt every last word. I've been one of those Judge Judy's but I found this interview so refreshingly honest. Especially because I've grown. I've lived. I've made my mistakes and I understand the power of self reflection. We all have our own journeys trying to find ourselves. This was a good interview
Nobubele you too are amazing in your analysis. This right there is life changing interview. I have Never had such oratory skills, factual, reflective yet laced with soo much humour. The last part about Metro fm is the greatest punchlines EVER. I mean I have never had any stand up comediene deliver such 4- 5 punchlines ..Honestly I peed in my pants. Even MacG I have never seen/ heard him laugh this hard. This is a killer. Archive it bro !
This is why Podcasts are important, you can never get this level of detail from any other media source apart from a Biography or a Documentary. Obviously, there are always two sides to each story, but podcasts are the best at getting to the bottom of things without rushing.
"Being in your own lane gives you time to better yourself, if you constantly in competition you have no time coz you're constantly looking over your shoulder and not bettering yourself whats the next move"
Dating someone who is waaay older than you didn't start now it's something that started looong time ago look at the age gap between our parents, so khanyi can not be blamed for anything pulizi.
Those age gaps existed in other parts of the country, not where I grew up and people think it's a rural area😒. Even then,it's all about what parents prioritised for their children. I know that my grandparents prioritized independence for their daughters even though they didn't have much to give them, especially my maternal grandfather. It's never okay to let young girls think their ticket to a better life is through a man😭☹️
@@HenryDube72 I agree with you about parents preferences for their children. It's also about what parents expose their children to that plays a part in the choices children make. Children that grow up in an environment whereby they are told to phanda end up doing anything and everything for money. We are ultimately responsible for the choices we make but the role played by parents, a parent or an adult figure in a child's life is just as important🙏💔
I didn't know I could fall in love with Khanyi EVEN MORE 😭❤ This is raw. This is real. I am SO happy she is able to tell her story, the way she wants to.
She is right though. You never know how much of what you see on social media is real. Most of these influencers have created a "rich" persona that is most times fake. Khanyi is real. She can spot fake from a mile.
I’ll always love and appreciate the authenticity of Khanyi Mbau’s stories. What comes out of her mouth is very organic and informative. Love the original slayer! ♥️
Articulate yes, intelligent I don't know because the measures of intelligence varies. I like her though, she played the game of life well and in a way that some of us will never even imagine.

I'm hooked she's a great story teller, great personality, totally different from how the media always portrays her. Totally enjoyed this interview! Thanks MacG too dope!
One reason ive come to really love this girl is how candid and honest she is❤️. One day evrything will work out Khanyi, God wont take you through all these adventures for naught🤗
what a great story teller! and she's so sincere and intelligent! whether u love her or hate her, respect the fact that she's just being herself. Nobody's perfect.
Khanyi's story is so fascinating, I just hope that her daughter isn't affected, seeing her mother tell the story and be exposed to details pf her mom's life. She is old enough to understand but may still carry her mom's trauma/labels.
This is by far the best interview I have watched in the last 2 years. To think I even watched this long and still yearning to watch part 2 blows my mind. Put some respect to Khanyi's name, you don't have to agree with everything she says or does but you have to be honest in saying she is legendary in her own way.
Khanyi I’m so proud of the woman you’ve grown to be.You such a bright young lady...keep going my angel. The world is your oyster!I wish you all the best doll!!
This love story is like a movie called The confession of the marriage counselor . That guy was always a monster but money blinded you . Thank God u made it

She had a similar interview like this on real talk with anele, she spilled beans
I love the fact that she is herself , she was honest with MacG and there was no PR answers. She’s real
