just did this to a Kenwood VR505 receiver after having it given to me by my cousin who was sick of not having functioning remote control....easy fix too! i never soldered in my life..bought a $15 kit on amazon, watched a few tutorial, and had the VR505 remote working again! thanks cuz!
Hi, I bought a used kenwood krf-v5050d from Europe with a replacement remote which doesnt work. I tried many remotes and also my mobile with number of apps but still the amp doesnt respond. How do I know if the issue is in the remote sensor? In the video it is not clear if he replaced the IR sensor. Do you have any advice for me, greateful.
Hi, thanks for this. I am also having the same issue. But how do I know if its the sensor or the remote sensor IC in Kenwood setup. I tried many universal remotes too but the issue remains. Thanks for any help.
@@rscuri Hey, you saved my day. I was looking for the original remote thinking other remotes do not work with this model. I have seen your video a couple of weeks back but was hesitating to take your route thinking it will mess up. Last night I read another review where this problem was mentioned and I took the risk today and man, it was the issue. I am so happy and I am thankful for your video for sharing this solution. I hope all those who have the same issue will make use of this idea. Thanks again.

Muchas gracias!! Súper tu video. Volvió a funcionar al 100. Gracias
Thank you!
thx u

Perfect
