Now THIS is Tactility - Moyu Studio Betty Switch Showcase

- These Betty switches, much like the character they are based off, are sharp and to the the point. These are probably some of my favorite tactile feeling switches with their sharp bump and perfect spring weight for my preference. Partner the feel with the clacky, poppy nature of a long pole stem combined with the housing materials and you havce a potential winner on your hands.

These sound amazing with a surprisingly urgent upstroke too. It just *thuds* with authority. I might put these on my prototype. Also, I'm loving the recent switch reviews. Sub 10 mins is definitely the sweet spot.
Thanks for the feedback and glad you're enjoying the shorter video content!
[Edit] Its been brought to my attention that I missed the most important part of looking at tactile switches: the tactility comparison. In the hand I feel these are close to Moyu Blacks or a sharper tactility thank something like U4T. Keep in mind this is not scientific and until force curve graphs are completed we'll be in the dark. Thanks for your patience folks!
These switches are real bangers. Definitely going to try these on a few builds. What do you folks think? What's your favorite tactile?
I like it! All your vids or at least the ones I’ve seen so far. I’m still wanting to try out your switches!! Do you have a link on how to get them?
Hi there! Welcome and thank you for the kind words. You can find all my links to my projects and Discord server at www.punkshoo.com
That sound test was great. I'm new to keyboard modding and I'm trying to see which switch sounds the thockiest since it's the most pleasing to my ear and these honestly sound better than the boba U4T's and Akko creamy yellows. I also seem to like Tactiles more so than clicky/linear. Out of curiosity, what are your top 5 favorite switches?. Also have you tried badseedtech's Tactiles?
Thanks for checking out the video and welcome to the community. I'm a bit biased but right now my favorite switches, in order from most favorite to less favorite are Aflion Runner, Cream Soda, "Ron Burgundy" frankenswitches, Melody, and an unnamed franken switch using Melody stems inside a T1 housing. That's not to say I dont love alot of other switches out there but these are my favorites, for sure. I have not tried Badseed tactiles but I definitely plan to once they have the actuation issues resolved.
also what mic do u use to record? It sounds really nice.
I use these Neewer pencil mics for the majority of my recording: amzn.to/3WuxZlD
What are your thoughts on picking between the Betty switches and the Azure Dragon V2 switches?
That's tough. I think if you like a louder, sharper bottom you go with the Azure Dragons. If you want something with a nice bump, slightly more affordable, and not quite as loud then the Betty will be the one.
@@punkshoo Oh ok, also I read online that its a 62g bottom out but there is no force graph, so is it a 58g actuation? I am relatively new to this space so I'm a bit blur on this
I cannot tell you the specifics about the force curve without the graph, unfortunately.
As long as you're taking criticisms, you could probably just remove the intro sequence, it's pretty long. I would also like to know if a switch required lube and film as well but other than that, I enjoyed the video, thank you.
Noted. Thank you for checking out the vid and providing some feedback. Its much appreciated.
typically you will lube a tactile switch, just not the legs or leafs unless that is your personal preference. film is not always needed if the housings are tight. also a sound preference
do these switches feel like zuoce rococo? too snappy? cz i dont like rococo
I haven't tried the Zuoce switches so I have no information on that.
LMAO the intro😂
that intro lol, nice vid
Thanks 😅
would have been nice if you had given a bit information about the tactility
like compared the tactility of those switches to other commonly used tactiles like for example Browns, Ergo clears, T1s, Boba U4ts or Holy Pandas, like "this switch has a similar tactility like switch X, maybe a bit lighter/stronger"
or classify it as a light/medium/strong tactile
and maybe even the type of Tactility (b= pretravel-bump-maybe posttravel; P=minimal to no pretravel-bump-posttravel; D= minimal to no pretravel- bump till bottom out)
Noted. Seems I've been doing too many linear switches lately and didn't use definitive verbiage to describe the tactility. I mention it "has a nice solid tactile bump" to convey they are, indeed, a heavy tactile like Moyu Blacks/Dark Jades but I can see how the message wouldn't come across very clearly. Thanks for your insight and I'll be sure to add these comparisons in the future if I continue with these types of videos.
@@punkshoo ah, thank you so much for that information, i'm really interreste in these switches and now i know that i have to get some of them
Is it just me or is the sound faster than the typing... amazing sounding switches
Could be a number of things causing the desync but when the video was rendered everything was synced and I've had no feedback regarding desync so far.
suppose!
it'd be nice if you didn't have all foams on the board. it normalizes things way too much for me on a sound test
You'll be excited for the new board I ordered to showcase both type of configurations in the future. For now, my builds are foamy because that's what I like. Stay tuned and thanks for your feedback!
Are you only using 6 fingers to type? It looks like you little and ring finger just hover lol
You are correct. This is how I type after many years of WASD gaming. I don't seem to be alone in this either, unfortunately.
