I’m guessing advance parole. I helped someone with immigration by first starting with daca which they received a work permit (E.A.D.) and advance parole in one card. That person is now a permanent resident and will be applying for citizenship next year. Getting legal in America is a journey.

Advance parole does not apply in his case
People just need to read... advance parole when adjusting status and concurrent filing or if you already receive your work permit then you can still travel back and forth if you apply for parole prior to travel... difference is when you apply for it. Please note when concurrent filing for everything then your work permit will reflect this.

You are not the first to do it and you will not be the last . A lot of ppl travelled without a green card . Once you have Advance Parole you are eligible to return to the U.S but without it you automatically get a 10yr bar from returning to the U.S
