Yes! I refuse to pay other people unless I really have to. I've never plumbed anything before and I just replumbed half my house. Plus I love hoarding tools. So any excuse to buy more tools is a win for me.
It's so funny how as we get older bed time gets super important lmao! I used to go to work on 3 hours of sleep and hungover. I quit drinking years ago and i have to be in bed by 10 at the latest to be up by 6. Non negotiable lol.
You are very organized and keep things neat. You’re a hard worker. The floor looks good. You better watch out Dalton because mothers are watching this and may set their sights on you for their daughters.
Not only the young girls, what about us older ladies 😊❤ If I was there helping him I'd be putting my walking frame away, putting my false leg in his bedroom so I don't lose it, put on my old clothes, take my false teeth out cuz I don't want to break those 😊, I will leave my false eye in cuz I wanna see where I'm feeling 😳 sorry I mean where I'm going😂😂 us old gal's can really get going when we have something handsome to look at. Xxx😂😂😂
Vicarious living at its very best! Never a dull moment! Thanks for inspirational encouragement! We live our lives better because you live yours so well!
hey man been watching you since you bought this house, just got my kitchen sink back for the first time in about a month, it will feel SOOOOOO awesome to get your bathroom done yourself!
an old piece of fence or some bent wire coat hangers from the dry cleaner will do the same good as the $25 wire. #4 rebar on a 12 inch grid would be good also. A slab that thick with a compacted sub base doesn't need wire at all. Wire is beneficial on a 24 foot wide slab that could move up or down in the middle and open up cracks as it cured. A 4 by 6 slab as thick as yours won't move like a garage slab would. it didn't hurt to use it but you could have saved $25 and still slept okay about it. thanks for sharing this adventure. I like watching you overcome your obstacles.
First off, eat first, then you will burn off what you ate. 2nd, forget the gym. Lifting and doing all that work is way more effective. 3rd, looks really great. Well done!
I can always count on seeing good progress on your channel. The other channel I'm following is getting nowhere fast. Frustrates the hell out of me. I'm glad I can come here and pat you on the back and say good job! The world needs more hard-working men like you.
Lol, be kinder to yourself. This is some seriously physical work. You work all day and harder at home at night. It won't come together overnight, but you keep working through whatever comes up. I'd say you're doing damn good! Keep putting one foot in front of the other, and before you know it, you'll be flushing that toilet and enjoying your first hot shower.
Your channel is quickly becoming a favorite of mine. Your frustration with the cost of that wire is up there with not getting your preferred camping sight😅
Looks great! Good hard work! I still have to do a big slab for my terrace outside, but that's gonna take 60 to 70 bags of concrete. I would have to carry all those up the hill to where the mixer and terrace is, so I'm gonna skip that one and order some with a pump...😅
Some Lowe's stores carry the nasty, rusted 5 x 10 sheets of wire at a reduced price to the pristine 4 x 8's they sell inside. I buy those all the time ..
Great Job. My dad did redi-mix for 35 years and i helped a lot, so i have some experience. Remember most of these tasks are your first try. Remember learning to drive? Or your first time in a gym? Those of us who have been there are amazed at your learning curve.
Nice job MM! Looks great! It's a no-brainer to own the proper equipment as long as you have room to store it properly to last, especially at your young age so you get a lot of years of projects out of it.
Dalton nice job! You did a lot of work to get to this point so that makes this feel real good to see the floor closed in. Great work. Have a good weekend camping. 👍👍👍
Slab looks great. Perfection is the enemy of good. You’re almost certainly putting tile on it, it’s gonna be great. You e got at least 1/4 inch of wiggle room from the tile compound.
Slab looks great! I don't know (not an expert), but maybe a little roughness won't matter if you're tiling the floor; the bond/adhesive material might smooth it over. Enjoy your camping trip.
you are an IN shape young man! I worked for a local hardware store for the last 10 years, and those 80 lbs. bags are not light! worked with them all day in spring and summer, I'm 63 now and in good shape but they are getting very heavy for me!! LOL! you made it look like light work! you are doing a great job and can't wait until you can use your bathroom! this is a very nice first home best of luck with it!
For future reference, drill 1/2 holes in your existing slab about every 10 or 12" and insert 12" long rebar rods. That will tie your old slab into your new slab that way they support each other and move together. Eventually you may get a big crack between the two.
Rip the next person who has to break up the concrete 😂 Steel reinforcement is not needed on such a small slab. A good gravel base will keep it in place and it’s not like you’re driving over it and such. Important to be able to get to your plumbing in case of issues. Too late now but just food for thought for the future.
You will soon be an expert on so many things! Yep get the bathroom usable and you will feel better about everything. Have a good time at camp. Why doesn’t your family help you with your projects?
Its real rewarding doing your own work on your home rather than paying someone else to do it. The floor looks great.
Yes! I refuse to pay other people unless I really have to. I've never plumbed anything before and I just replumbed half my house. Plus I love hoarding tools. So any excuse to buy more tools is a win for me.
Thank you!
Great job with the video!!! Really enjoyed the timelapse and the choice of music!
Enjoy your camping trip! Keep warm!

Your videos are always wonderful to watch. And your new cement mixer is going to help you alot with your projects.
Vicarious living at its very best! Never a dull moment! Thanks for inspirational encouragement! We live our lives better because you live yours so well!
glad things are working out well!
I'm always looking forward to the next step.
The hint of an Arkansas accent ( just a bit of the south maybe?) is so appealing! We could listen to that voice till the cows come home! 🐄🐄🐄
Time lapse was incredible!! Great music too 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Well done!
hey man been watching you since you bought this house, just got my kitchen sink back for the first time in about a month, it will feel SOOOOOO awesome to get your bathroom done yourself!
Glad you’ve stuck around! Oh yeah i’m vey much looking forward to it

All I can say is wow.... and yes $25 seems high for that little square of welded wire. Have a nice trip.
Great job! 🎉. I'm impressed with your efforts.
Great progress Dalton. Soon will have a toilet.
Enjoy your camping weekend

Perhaps you would enjoy Escape to Rural France. Seeing what this chap has done to an abandoned chateau is awesome
I’m glad you feel that way because i feel like I’m getting nowhere lol

Well done buddy!! Dont keep us waiting too long! Some of us are living vicariously through this project! 😂

He is a fast learner!
Looking good, nice step by step,I think anybody could follow that if they needed to.
Nice job MM! Looks great! It's a no-brainer to own the proper equipment as long as you have room to store it properly to last, especially at your young age so you get a lot of years of projects out of it.

Not only is your progress fun to watch but you also do a nice job producing your videos, thanks much.
Get the other side poured Sunday then just a few days from running water 👍
Sounds like a plan. Looks great. Have fun camping.
Looks great. Enjoy your camping trip.❤😊
Yeah floor going in 😊 congratulations!! Won't be long now !! 😊
it will be ok when you finish it , make sure you sort out the drainage outside or it will flood again😊
Great job!
I think you’re finding the big box stores are neither best nor cheapest, theyre just handy.
Looks great Dalton.
Always a great job. Analysis is good. Take your time and think about it, which you did. Awesome!!
Wire like that cuts easily with small bolt cutters.
You are making good progress. In an enclosed area like that, the air is saturated with ultra-fine concrete dust particles.

It had me wore out for sure hahaha
Your hard work is looking great. Enjoy your camping trip.💯👍
Thanks!
Thank you so much!
I'm sure you'll end up doing rest of the house🤔🙌 It didn't seem right watching you without a hat😄
And goggles and a mask! 😘
Nice job!
Nice!
It's looking good
Great job! Impressive. Have fun camping!
Looking good. Remember 1 Busch for every 2 bags of concrete after 6 pm:)
Analysis paralysis is part of the modern world. The alternative is Homer Simpson.
Enjoy camping and be safe!
great video
As they all are!
Funny guy. Concrete workout plan.

It looks good to me. I mean, I don't know nothin', but it looks good to me. lol
We know our boy!
Aw; I guess no more shovel chat.
Rip the next person who has to break up the concrete 😂

I would price your materials out I live in MN and my freinds say Lowes is much higher than other stores?
Camping stories coming! Hope no bears, Mt. lions, or getting lost! Getting pretty cool out there! 😨👣💤
I think instead of a trowel, you really need a float.
Hope you wear goggles?
You pick good music!🤗😎
The slab that you just put down looks good. Mr. Window 🪟 installer.
So happy for you Dalton .Hard work and dedication pays off🫶🫶👏👏👏👏👌
