At the end of the day it's just a bit of fun and he deserves credit for trying something different. Good to use in those cold frosty months of the winter.
I put up a tech video that goes over all the details. There is a link at the end of this video to watch it. Regarding the 3 monitors, I started with one monitor. But when you lean off the bike to turn left, you look “through the turn”. It felt weird to try to look at the center monitor. Xbox doesn’t support widescreen, so I just bought 3 monitors and a HDMI clone device. It isn’t perfect, but for sure it’s more natural than a single monitor directly in front of the bike...IMO 🤷♂️
@@iMachinist Get a pc with a nvidia graphics card, put the monitors in nvidia surround mode and increase your resolution ingame. You'll have the cockpit in the center screen but the rest of the image is stretched across the side screens which would be much more natural than cloning a single screen setup. Or even better, get a VR headset and play GP bikes...
The Panigale is Fuel Injected and it's also "fly-by-wire". So turning the throttle does nothing mechanically in the bike at all. So it's not flooding the engine or even opening the throttle body.
Good for those who want a ride but no licence or license being suspended.. 😊 envy u being a so technical guy. In Singapore, bikes is way too expensive. Sell your simulator here u might earn big bucks^^

You must have the widest chicken strips in history. Most Ducati riders normally leave at least 3 inches each side, but you've def beat that with that old Italian relic 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😂
A reddit user told me I need to try Isle of Man game and post a video. I will do this one day :) I'm still working on upgrading my system to be a bit more robust (it's pretty much held together with bubble gum and tape lol)
Ok...I can start working on it, but I'm telling my wife it's your fault when I dig a bunker under our house big enough to house this thing en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-G_training#/media/File:20G_centrifuge.jpg
This is still closer to riding than what most Ducati owners do. Do you have an extra 30 grand and no skill or intention of actually using a half percent of your bikes capabilities well then a Ducati is just for you.
Your setup will be usefull in lockdown when there will be curfew outside and u want ride on bike 😂😂😂😂 BTW this setup is needed in INDIA because fuel prices are touching the sky😂😂
Your video makes so much sense. Why isn't there a sim rig for motorcycle racing games?? There are arcade rigs with the motorcycle on them. What a waste of a market. Unless you want to start a company for such a market. Anyways brilliant idea.
Me: I play the MotoGP game because I don't have a racing bike on my RUclips recommendation: turn a 2016 Ducati Panigale 959 into an Xbox motorcycle simulator for the #MotoGP game.
this may sound stupid, but when i was younger i was told not to twist or push a throttle when the vehicle isn't on because you can flood the engine/carb... did you have to cut the fuel off to make this work or is that just a myth ?
Not a dumb question. With carb motors, definitely the engine would flood. My bike is fuel injected, but even cooler my bike is “fly by wire”, so the throttle doesn’t have a cable at all. So it’s not evening opening the throttle body.
Thanks! I have arm sensors, which measure my “body lean angle”. I have been working on upgrading to wireless sensors. I posted this video up last week, of some headway. ruclips.net/video/JSQZI-XtL2A/видео.html
Make it lean to both sides and have a VR Headset instead of 3 screens with a motorcycle helmet that can go around the headset with blue tooth playing music and then you have the perfect simulator.
I get it and it’s funny and creative but I don’t see any appeal on motorcycle games it simply doesn’t do anything for me. But playing sim with wheel and pedals that does feel good
Ah ha! another panigale rider. At least on the track we don't have this problem :) When I bought my bike, I rode it home 2 hours in jeans on a 35c day in a lot of New York traffic. When I got home, my right inner thigh was blistered. Stupid me didn't realize my leg was getting hot enough to blister smh
