I don’t know if you plan on it already but I HIGHLY reccomend a bunch of skid plates. Those fuel lines will 100% take a beating if you’re into some rocks.
Just stopping this video halfway to say the guy that wrapped this car did an incredible job. I feel like he isn’t getting as much appreciation as he should because it was free. That man pulled out all his skill on a free wrap to show you his worth. Anyways ~ this car is going to turn into something so much bigger and I already know it 😂
@@nao__channel if you watched the Initial D movie, the guy with the R32, says something about "racing Off-Road". so i would think that it would be used for off-road, considering it IS ALL-WHEEL DRIVE.
@@nao__channelI don't know about that, I think it will be pretty interesting to see how capable it is. Especially from my Subaru background! There are a couple of r35 rally builds that look like they can party pretty hard
Adam is at a point in life where he can build Forza cars IRL. This reminds me of making a car in Forza Horizon Off-road with wheels and suspension purely on the basis of liking that car. I'm so pumped for this thing!
Watched yesterday video with my girlfriend last night, she was asking about your content… made me realize I’ve watched your stuff for at least 10 years, first video I saw was you snapping some handlebars jumping off a roof I believe… miss the bmx videos. Good shit man keep it up
This will no doubt be a great safari. The few offroad excursions I've had with my GT-R have been very fun. The biggest shock of the video was seeing how comfortably Johan was using 2 feet to drive.
You should really look into downsizing the brakes. Also, adding additional shims to the brakes to wear off the dirt. There’s a video Hoonigan did showing you the modifications they did to a Subaru. I think your main problem is when you jump that car they’re gonna buckle the fenders.
A lot of people who lift cars will space the subframes down so you can maintain axle and suspension geometery. Volkswagen actually did this from the factory back in the 80s with the Golf Country.
Yo, safari volvo guy here. Fabricate 1/2 or 1 inch subframe spacers, then same on top hats of your coil overs. Now you've got a bit more ground clearance and no axle bind because it all matches. Just need longer hardware maybe some hoses etc. But 1/2" not usually. Still makes a huge difference! Looks cool as shit too!
White LMs would be sick!!! With 4wd's, to realign the cvs on a ifs, we generally do a diff drop to help with the cv angle, 1" of drop gives you 2"s of height to play with, however, brake lines will need to be extended. Another option to gain more height without cv angle compromise is to do an inch or 2 body lift, then just extend the brake lines, radiator hoses and anything else that will be effected
I’ve gotta say, seeing it at more or less ride height with the mudflaps mocked up it goes so hard! As others have said, skid plates and fuel line protection would be a must! Can’t wait to see the finished product!
Your videos are always awesome, but I feel like this video and the last one are on a whole different level. The editing, and flow of them just feel different to me, but in an extremely good way.
In rally, we pretty much always run our fuel lines through the cabin, to mitigate the risk of puncturing/tearing a fuel line on rocks and debris. Might be worth rethinking in the future depending on what application you end up deciding to do with it unless you box them in. Brake lines too.
I'm so stoked for this build, I love that you're pushing limits and stepping out of your comfort zone. I love off road car builds, I've been building off road Civics for the past 8 years. Between this and the legends car, I like seeing you take risks!
Imagine Adam did a "Finish your paperweight" giveaway. like you buy a certain shirt and send in pictures of your current project, and he picks it up and does everything to the car that you wanted. Not a bad concept and a great audience engager. My audi would love that lol just needs a clutch and a swap harness 🤣
Adam, they make risers for engine mounts that are solid aluminum, threaded in the middle, and studded on top. You could stack them on the threads of the ball joints as a ghetto fix for the axle/binding issue.
Always want your e content sensor on your return line or if not possible as close to the rail as possible. And get with a rally suspension company like hot bits. Just randomly guessing on springs rates and lengths isn’t the same thing
It’s a really good idea to put ramps or something under the front left and rear right wheel or the other way to compress the suspension which will show you if you will hit anything at full compression and the clearance as well.
It’s actually called jacking force when the upper arms have a bunch of angle it softens the spring rate the closer the arm is to 90 degrees the stiffer the rate. Used a lot in circle track racing
A few things I must say..... First off. Hearing the Safari skyline running would be a great Christmas present to us all. It can be a 3 minute video and we will love it... Second once that thing is done just know imma bug u to take it out to race "This vs That" at the hoonigan dirt layout... It would be so cool and great testing 😊
"we might be reaching a new market with the offroad videos actually" --- Well you at least got me back watching the channel, haha. First interesting video series in a while for me. :)
Hey adam i love this build but one thing i can suggest is having rock slidders for the rocker panels and a skid plate that goes underneath the motor that way no mud or big rocks can get in
This build has me so excited. Cant wait to see it with mudflaps, lights and roofrack with bmx ( i'm just assuming that will be the acessories ) great idea and so far great outcome.
FYI Platinum Racing Products do a Front upright, designed for the drag race guys, gives and extra 2 inches of space between the upper arm and the tyre.
My thought is since Von Junior runs an off-road program with Stadium trucks in the whole nine yards that would probably be the first place I would start reaching out to to see if they would possibly know anybody in the rally industry that can possibly point you in the right direction
yeah this build is looking tidy as! nice seeing a different angle on a 32 than drag drift n grip. Thing is looking amazing, hope the clearance stuff works out for you on the front wheels. nice insight on the sus setup. sure you will get that dialed in once its rolling :) Merry Christmas. Look forward to the next one :)
Interesting build... Favorite Safaris were the late 90's early 2000's cars and most notably the Porsche 959s!!!! Glad you are actually thinking about the geometry unlike some of the cars and trucks one sees on the roads.(
I love everything about this build thank you Adam you keep amazing time and time again l. Love the content been here since quarterpipe build in the snow at mom and dads!
Such a cool and unique build. I was kinda hoping you would run the r32 without the front bumper and just put a big bash bar on the front (something like the black drift Z33) with some spotlights/lightbar. Cant wait to see how it looks when finished..
I don’t know if you plan on it already but I HIGHLY reccomend a bunch of skid plates. Those fuel lines will 100% take a beating if you’re into some rocks.
I was just about to write this. Those fuel lines arent gonna last with sticks and rocks rubbing and getting kicked up onto them
He should of done skid plates before anything else. I learnt that the hard way when i ripped my fuel tank in half on a rock
Thought the same thing, especially where the filter/sensors are on that chassis rail
Bump
Needs a snorkel too

Sean is so under rated. dude is a machine.
Really come into his own.
He looks like a homeless dude😂
Pro tip , subframe spacers allow more height with better axle geometry ,
And a large alloy underbody skid tray for below the engine bay will help alot
Haha love how you noted the subframe spacers right at the end of the video when I commented mid video ,
You got me Adam.
Putting Booth’s “it’s snowin!” sound clip into the drop in the song was a genius bit of editing
Needs rally lights! Like a nismo style would be sick. Looks so good regardless Adam
Rally lights on a front rally bar
It's wicked to see Adam lifting a vehicle now! Looking froward to seeing how this build handles the dirt
shame its a 32 gtr

Reminds me of that Keiichi Tsuchiya movie where he practices driving/drifting in a dirt field in a gtr i think
The team Adam has around him is insane! Every video my mind just gets more and more blown on their skill
cant wait to watch you drive this thing off road and hopefully in some snow!
Adam is at a point in life where he can build Forza cars IRL. This reminds me of making a car in Forza Horizon Off-road with wheels and suspension purely on the basis of liking that car. I'm so pumped for this thing!
My go-to car for offroad PR stunts in Forza is a lifted Mk4 Supra with all the off road shenanigans. That thing rips.
Watched yesterday video with my girlfriend last night, she was asking about your content… made me realize I’ve watched your stuff for at least 10 years, first video I saw was you snapping some handlebars jumping off a roof I believe… miss the bmx videos. Good shit man keep it up

This has to be my new favorite build. GTR is one of my favorite cars but owning a slammed car is not an option living in the country on dirt roads.
loving the "its snowing!" edits, especially the glitchy one
I absolutely love the idea and the execution of this Rally inspired GTR! So good!!
A lot of people who lift cars will space the subframes down so you can maintain axle and suspension geometery. Volkswagen actually did this from the factory back in the 80s with the Golf Country.
Should try 1" spacers on the subframes and gearbox cross members to add a slight body lift, that way drive shafts can start leveled
I’m all for this build. There’s something special about being confident in a car on and off road 🤘
Yo, safari volvo guy here.

Front rally/baja bar with rally lights. Also a safari rack on top would be awesome. Then like mike said, a ladder from the the rear to the rack. 😂
I’ve gotta say, seeing it at more or less ride height with the mudflaps mocked up it goes so hard! As others have said, skid plates and fuel line protection would be a must! Can’t wait to see the finished product!
That's so cool!! So keen to see how this ends up and how it handles.
Wheel and tire setup with the wrap is perfect
By far my favorite build!!!! I’m a huge Porsche 911 safari fan and I love off-road cars
This is turning out perfectly. At first wasn't all for it, but now I'm seeing it come together and it's definitely a winner!!!
Bro that music is fire 13:27
Your videos are always awesome, but I feel like this video and the last one are on a whole different level. The editing, and flow of them just feel different to me, but in an extremely good way.
When I first saw the mud flaps all I could think was the time jimmy and adam bought plastic cutting boards to use on their Subarus.
Johan says he did okay on welding Adam shows still a masterpiece 👍😁👍

I want to hate this build but I can’t. Those tires on those bronze wheels look so rad!!!!
Love that adam is doing different type of builds. Most youtubers keep doing the same exact builds over and over no matter what car they buy
Generally for high speed offroad cars you want about 2/3 of the travel to be up travel. Droop is usually used for rock crawlers.
How many of us have unfinished project cars 😂
Smaller brakes, less wheel, more rubber. Skid plates and properly set bumpstops are a must. Mudflaps look sick
Thanks Mike!
Yo what's wild is you lifted this AND put truck tires on it and it still has better fitment than TJ's M4 'GTR'
Adam, they make risers for engine mounts that are solid aluminum, threaded in the middle, and studded on top. You could stack them on the threads of the ball joints as a ghetto fix for the axle/binding issue.
Johan is a true fabricator, even the quick stuff has a high attention to detail.
Loving the different build, remember when off roading we run lower tire pressure over the on roads
i love to see the attention to detail he and the team are able to put into these fun builds
i love that adams not an offroad guy and still understands that lift doesn’t mean you can fit bigger tires without proper clearance at bump.
Always want your e content sensor on your return line or if not possible as close to the rail as possible.
And get with a rally suspension company like hot bits. Just randomly guessing on springs rates and lengths isn’t the same thing
Hell yeah!! Keep killing the game lzmfg crew!
It’s a really good idea to put ramps or something under the front left and rear right wheel or the other way to compress the suspension which will show you if you will hit anything at full compression and the clearance as well.
What would happen if Adam let TJ hunt drive it and then TJ miss shifted and blew up the motor.
@tjhunt
Then it would have a blown engine?
Then teej would go down for the dirtnap
What an odd question
You do realize Tj didn't blow up his engine when he mis shifted..
Love this build. Something so left field, it's awesome.
Man i love Shawn-Blog, thats one way to put a rear main in❤
Johan & his b-vand welds are sick love you
Digging the music change during the B roll 🔥
Fully alloy, stainless, kevlar or titanium under tray skid plates are a must
It’s actually called jacking force when the upper arms have a bunch of angle it softens the spring rate the closer the arm is to 90 degrees the stiffer the rate. Used a lot in circle track racing
I love the way you build your cars your , you inspire me I live your videos don’t stop

Can’t wait to see the color matched bmx bike on the roof rack on the safari GTR build. Going to look so good I hope he does it
It’s snowin 🗣️‼️
This build has me so excited. Cant wait to see it with mudflaps, lights and roofrack with bmx ( i'm just assuming that will be the acessories ) great idea and so far great outcome.
for offroad tire grooving will help you out a shit ton open up those ;lines to clear out dirt and mud alot better that way it helps out with traction
This is such an awesome build, it needs a snorkel and a full length skid pan though - can do some Gymkhana grinds🔥
Make subframe spacers to lift the body for more tire clearance with taller shocks.
trunk rack and quad Hella flood lights are a must for this
Roof rack and some nice lights to it and its ready to rock!
would be cool to see the trunk lid cut out and put two reserve wheels in there (like the prerunners/safari/dakar cars)
FYI Platinum Racing Products do a Front upright, designed for the drag race guys, gives and extra 2 inches of space between the upper arm and the tyre.
I really like to see the working on cars
The music choice in this video is 👌loving this build so far :)
Awesome build, and Mike, the music on this video was on point!!
the pepperridge farm in pa is so awesome i love the little store they have on the plant lol
The “it’s snowin’” drop was perfect
My thought is since Von Junior runs an off-road program with Stadium trucks in the whole nine yards that would probably be the first place I would start reaching out to to see if they would possibly know anybody in the rally industry that can possibly point you in the right direction
i really hope we get videos of you shredding trails in this thing and trying to learn some rally cross driving from ur lady !
An undertray in ALU in the front showing in some way, would do the car!
Might be my favorite build.
Can’t wait to see this thing rip in the snow! I have a feeling that’s the plan for the quick timeline
Def cool to hear Adam getting more technically with the suspension and droop.
Love the Balance and Composure hoodie.
You have to mount basic overfenders and paint them bedliner matt black! Also mod the bumper with a heavy duty skidplate 😁😁😁😁💪
Big dawg you and Mike need to keep pumping out videoes love yalll sooooooooo😂 much yalls vibes are just like my boys and I 10 fold!!!$❤❤❤❤❤
being part of the jdm scene and overland/prerunner scene im super hyped and im hoping to see more offroading stuff
You look stocked!!! Happy for you 🥳
Should rally it too! Excited to see it dig.
Would love to see an offroad style bull/bash bar on the front of the 32! Even a trimmed up bumper would look sick
I think a good roof rack typa thing and sum cool off road lights will complement the ride Adam 🙌
Merry Christmas to everyone at LZmfg. Thanks for another year of content!
yeah this build is looking tidy as! nice seeing a different angle on a 32 than drag drift n grip. Thing is looking amazing, hope the clearance stuff works out for you on the front wheels. nice insight on the sus setup. sure you will get that dialed in once its rolling :) Merry Christmas. I wish someday I can afford to build something like the magnitude of your crazy builds LZ
The edit is next level on this one 🙌🏻

gk tech sells axle spacers and you could use drop knuckles to be able to raise the suspension more without sacrificing suspension geometry
If you lift an ifs vehicle, u can get front diff drop kits so ur CV angle is better allowing a bigger lift
Let’s go Johan, love old f1 on Nurd
Adam has a really good taste in cars. Love this build already. Hope you gonna put a skibox on it:D
