Very good, I was a fan of his and made me interested in watching American Idol because the were propping up different style of singers, and I was just getting more into this style of jazz, very cool!
this was his best performance, he's right in his element for a rare moment on idol. LIke I said on another video, Idol wasn't a good showcase for him becuase the majority of the songs are pop music which he's awful at. if this was purely a big band competition he would have rocked it!
he wasnt ment to win not all of them were great he jus had alot of female fans he had a cd it flopped and now he goes to the boston conservatory for music
The reason why Simon said that is because they didn't want him to win, that season they were not very subtle on who they want to win, They had two people in mind, LaToya and Fantasia,Screw them they even said negative things about Jennifer Hudson's rendition of Weekend In New England!
I remember that season well, and I still believed that the producers had already chosen Fantasia to win, because they pimped the hell out of her. She was allowed to break whatever format they had that week and get away with it, whereas the others were not.
@@DavidBDavis-lz7bt Yeah Season 3 sucked for that reason. Fantasia landed in the bottom 2/3 on a few occasions, one of the only seasons I can remember where every contestant was in the bottom 3, and it was backlash because the show was pushing Fantasia so much!!!
