There was even some weirdo who said that if he wasn't eliminated the next elmination, then he would kill him. John was eliminated, but said that if he wasn't eliminated, that he was going to quit due to that threat on his life.
@Fanjayaforever this was back in the day when they made the contestants sing different genres (even ones they were NEVER meant to sing). they had latin/gloria estefan night. unsurprisingly, it was a catastrophe for him. and he got voted off.
He didn't win because he's not versatile enough. He's only good at singing oldies. He did badly in other genre. Btw, eventhough I said the above, he's actually my favourite contestant in that year. I like his style.
