THANK YOU BOTH SO MUCH for this video series. You guys are absolutely saving me with these walkthroughs. I just bought the same van and came across your channel when trying to find options for power as I plan to live and work remotely full time in it. I just bought the same ecoflow you have, the automatic transfer switch, and the ecoflow alternator charger. When are you guys going to be putting out the alternator video? I am going to rely on that for installing it as well.

Hello! Thank you so much for the feedback, it is really appreciated! It takes quite a bit of work to put these together and document everything, so it feels good to know people are getting value from our efforts. We plan to release the alternator charger video later today, so keep an eye out!

Can't wait to see how this performs! I still don't understand why these RV manufacturers aren't doing this by default. It's not that expensive and makes a massive difference in capability. I know they offer the Ecoflow kit on the 36B, I don't know why they don't offer it on the 36A.

Thanks for watching and for your comment! We agree completely. Very simple thing to have a transfer switch and allow for 120V input when off grid. I also don't know why they don't have the 12v converter on its own breaker rather than piggy-back on some outlets. We are going to change that too.

You guys have pretty much rebuilt that van, especially the power side.

It's been fun upgrading the capabilities of the van and making it our own! We are not done yet so stay tuned and thanks for following us.

Love the videos, very helpful! If I wanted to keep the Thetford 365 and set the bench to loveseat permanently, would the Ecoflows fit in the leg space I wouldn’t be using otherwise?

Hi there, I don't think you could get both of the batteries in that leg space, maybe just the main battery. That spaces seems to be a little smaller than the cubby that holds the toilet. Plus there is a heater vent that comes out under there which you would not want to block when the heat was running. I'm not sure if the toilet would fit in the leg area or not, but that could be an option. We got a smaller portable toilet for emergencies (Trelino Evo S) and we store it in the cubby above the power panel/breaker box with room to spare. Thanks for watching and for the question.

Okay so I can't/won't do this in my own, who would I call to install for me? What kind of tradesman?

Hello again! Thanks for your question. I assume you are talking about the combo of the transfer switch and putting in the batteries. I would think any electrician would have the skills to install the transfer switch like we did and probably even add the vent and drop the batteries in. Or an RV technician if you find a friendly RV service center. WFCO is the company that makes the electrical panel, they even have a transfer switch that mounts to the back of the panel, so it could be hidden, which is also an option. An RV tech could do that, but more wiring would be needed to extend an input plug to the battery. Hope that helps and glad you liked it!

Just in stall a pure sine wave with a shut off and run and extension cord to your unit.

Hello, thanks for watching. Are you suggesting a method to supply 12v from Ecoflow to the RV house batteries? Thus avoid 120v and the 12v converter? When we install the Ecoflow alternator charger we will connect to the coach batteries and use reverse mode to supply native 12v to extend the house batteries when needed. And of course can recharge when we drive. That's our plan.
