If I remember correctly, it was either during the raid along or an interview, they said that Deep Stone Lullaby was meant to be a telling of a person going to sleep as a human and waking up as an exo. I think they explain it a lot more in that raid along but just knowing that makes the song touch me much more knowing that storytelling
Maybe it explain the gap between the 2 sections of the track, when the human being loses his body (a sort of last breathing or something) and wake up in his new Exo body. And musicaly it really sounds like a trap, which is reliable with the lore (Clovis Bray, the creator of the Exos, didn't asked her consent to the first persons who were "transferred"). Really great video of course :)
Yep. It's supposed to give the feeling of going to sleep as a human for the final time, then waking up as an exo with no recollection of who you are or your life prior to that point. There are only 3 exos in all of the Destiny series who remember who they were previously. Cayde-6 because he kept journals in all of his past resets, Banshee-44 due to reasons that won't be listed here due to spoilers, and the Exo Stranger, also due to spoilers.
I think a tad bit of context for this song is needed. This song plays after one of the most chaotic fights durring a raid just non stop action and noise. Then you beat it, you walk up a hallway in basically silence, you get to an airlock, it deepresurizes. And as soon as all the sound drops out becauze you're in space, thay first piano note hits. And you badically space walk around a space station while the rest of the song plays, looking down at Europa. Its honestly one of the most atmospheric moments bungie has ever made
After our day 1 team finally took down Atraks it was so calming my words maybe not exact but close after it were “Even if we don’t beat the rest of this we got to experience this” which is all I care about now
@@adamboy0559 For real, clearing Atraks was just and then get hit with this, we all stopped; we all sat there in stunned silence. I think upon it now and it depresses me a little bit that I'll never get to experience that again.
Thinking about the nature of the Exos and the inherent tragedy of becoming one, i.e, having your memory wiped, and having all that was once 'you' artificially recreated, having a mind that is constantly at odds with its own body, not to mention the dubious practices of Clovis Bray himself against his Exo subjects. I think Deep Stone Lullaby perfectly captures that tragedy, while at the same time still instilling a sense of duty. The Exos after all, were built to fight. It's thanks to the sacrifice of hundreds of Exos that Europa didn't fall to the Vex. In the days before the Collapse of the Golden Age, the Exo were our closest equivalent to Guardians. Exos, like Guardians, are Humans who had their memories wiped, forced to fight an uphill war against otherworldly invaders. Clovis Bray himself, is ironically, the best example of this, going from an amoral, egotistical, utilitarian scientist to a selfless warrior who died 43 deaths to fix the mistakes of his past life, and finally be the Grandfather he never got to be to Elsie. It's my personal belief that the case of Clovis Bray is what showed the Traveler that, given a second chance, people would choose to do good, leading to the creation of the Ghosts, and the birth of Guardians.
Clovis Brays not a good person. He forced people to be put into artificial bodies that couldn't sustain them. They literally ripped their limbs off because their brains couldn't process it. He has several lore cards about him and his twisted experiments with the exos. The only reason why he managed to keep them living was by an unknown darkness artifact called Clarity. The exo stranger was right about him being a bastard.
Clovis Bray I literally tried giving an Exo 4 arms once just to see what would happen. when the Exo woke up after the procedure, the 2 new arms just mirrored the original ones until the Exo was made aware of them, and they immediately started panicking and they killed themselves by ripping the other 2 arms off in pure terror.
The moment I first heard this song in-game, it was like hearing and seeing all of the beauty of the entire game of Destiny. The stuff IN the game sure, but also what I've experienced through the game with others. It feels like the anthem of the community's love of Destiny.
This song hit me hard. Everyone else has already explained the context so I'll just say this song came out during a real rough time. Knowing the meaning of the song being about going to sleep and waking up to a completely new life, a second chance, a blank slate, really really resonated with me at that point, and honestly helped me get through those horrible feelings. This song means so much more than just Destiny to me and I'm so happy you reacted to it!
There's such a soothing yet somber feel to Deep Stone Lullaby. It's slowly lulling you to sleep, but you also can't help but shake there's something there in all that calm stillness of it all, making you want to listen and understand more
I've played a whole lot of Destiny 2 and it took me a little while to recognize it. It is truly a great piece of music in a game wit great music. Unfortunately, it is easy to overlook a lot of these tracks simply because of the nature of D2. Which is simply that you are too busy shooting at everything to just sit back and listen to it. Though this particular piece isn't played during these activities, that isn't the point. I just find it amazing how easily one can overlook these things.
Well music hits differently for different people I suppose. Personally I kept running Ketchcrash last season because I loved the music. And I used to sherpa DSC a lot because my favorite Destiny 2 moment was listening to the full version of "Look Within" during the Day 1 raid while my team barely squeaked by to get the completion.
Probably the greatest moment for me playing in Destiny 2, after a dozen hours of day-one raid grinding, being able to relax with the section where this plays, and feeling extremely rewarded for reaching so far. It both put me at peace and motivated me to continue. Amazing track, thanks for reacting to it!
i was just listening to this song before going to bed and wanted to see what people thought of it and stumbled across this video posted mere minutes ago, very convenient timing for such an amazing song
This really deserves a listen with the AI speech included. So much depth and the interplay between the AI and the song. It's so nice. Also, this song partially loops. Musically this is a metaphor for the Exos themselves, who go to sleep and are "reborn" into a new body, which then also must "go to sleep" and be "reborn" again, from time to time; with each new life adding another digit to their name... As their most recent life is forgotten in order to stave off Cotard's Syndrome, and a new life begins, forward unto eternity. "La fontaine de jouvence. Made possible by Clarity Control." -AI of the Deep Stone Crypt It is a lullaby and a morning wake, all in one. Simultaneously representing both the end of a life and the beginning of one.
I can’t listen to this track without crying. It’s so sad and beautiful, and it’s even more touching realizing it’s meant to portray the process of waking up as a new person.
I can never figure out why but this song makes me emotional, in a good way. I love this music and I personally feel this is the best music I have heard in a video game. Completely perfect ESPECIALLY when you experience the space walk.
I unironically fall asleep to this song every night. Not only is it just an amazing and peaceful song, it also evokes a sort of nostalgia in me. It reminds me of the happier times when I was younger playing Destiny 1 with my dad and brother, almost promising that that feeling will come again. It kept me going in the darkest times when I lay awake at night contemplating my life. This song has made me feel so much, I hope it evokes in you the same feeling that it evokes in me.
Deep Stone lullaby is from Deepstone crypt raid and comes from a part where you’re on the space station with the immortal creator of it talking about the fountain of youth( I.e. turning your self into robots) and how it will destroy humanity falls into the wrong hands so he would destroy the space station to protect it. With his final words being “you now face godlike judgment may it extend eternal”. And then the violins come in with you looking at Europa from space, it’s beautiful.
not just the station - The Crypt itself. *WE* Destroy the station to prevent the nuke's from being fire ( thus why the last fight before crashing is to DISPOSE of the nukes :D )
Just imagine how much Europa would be absolutely decimated had the Space Station crashed with all those nuclear cores on it. I don't know what would be left to be honest. That was very Cabal of you, Clovis. In a weird way.
the Deep Stone Lullaby to me represents the final moments that the humans who came to Europa spent before becoming an Exo, it's exciting but terrifying at the same time. You would have no memories of your past life besides what is saved on a memory bank, will you even be you after you become an Exo? The intensity and the fear swell until... silence, and a reset. Your first reset as an Exo and your new life to come. The lullaby is what leads you to your final sleep in the Deep Stone Crypt.
I dont why it took me so long to realize you tok a listen to this song, but I'm glad I found it! I couldn't help but smile throughout this entire video, seeing someone enjoy this song really brings a smile to my face I will never forgot my first journey into the crypt, and going across the space walk only to be hit by this song, it's a beautiful moment and something I will cherish forever, even after 50 more adventures into the crypt, it never looses its touch. Thank you for sharing your experience, and I look forward to watching you analyze so much more.
This song really nails the concept of what its trying to portray, falling asleep for the last time as a living creature, then waking up in an Exo body and not knowing who you are, what you are or anything. Its so haunting.
Probably never going to happen, but I'd love it if you reacted to Destiny's Music of the Spheres. It's a ~45 minute composition (though it can be split into multiple parts) made for the launch of Destiny made by Martin O'Donnell in collaboration with Paul McCartney. Vastly considered to be the former's magnum opus before he split with Bungie.
I very recently completed this raid for the first time and since I knew absolutely nothing about it my team perfectly laid out every encounter and mechanic. Except this. I could not have been more unsuspecting or unprepared for how hard the first note would hit me. I'm glad that I was lucky enough to stay blind for so long and I am thankful for the team that let me truly experience the full beauty of the moment.
I have such a connection to this song. I did the Deep Stone Crypt raid on day one with my friends. We were actually ahead of most teams on Twitch for the first encounter but we got stuck on Atraks just like everyone else. I think we were in that room for close to 12 hours before we finally beat it. It was a last second win, we literally wiped right as the encounter completed. This song plays in the jumping puzzle right after that. I'll never forget how exhausted and excited and sad and happy we all felt hearing this for the first time. We road the high of our victory and cleared 3rd encounter on our first try while we were figuring out the mechanics. Sadly we stalled out on Taniks because some people didn't spend enough time grinding their power up so we would get him down to a tiny chunk before he would enrage and wipe us. A supremely exhausting but fun day that I remember everytime I hear this song.
when my fireteam got past Atrax during day one, when we heard that we instantly shut our mouth without actually communicating, and it was one of the best feelings i ever experienced
Doing this raid Day one was such an emotional journey and this song playing in the interim right after what was arguably the hardest encounter in the whole raid was unforgettable.
Deep Stone Crypt is amazing. Honestly the best part is that you hear this while you're in space, there are basically no sounds besides the muffled jumps you make on the outside of a space station. It's honestly such a perfect fit
The best part is how this comes right after what is arguably one of _the_ most intense incounters in the game, one with so many moving parts that many, MANY teams got stuck on it on day one. And so to go from that to this gentle, tranquil, melancholy piece is honestly perfect, in a sense giving you a chance to calm down and absorb the surroundings. Combine that with the _spectacular_ vista of seeing the planet Europa so far down below, the sun just peeking over the observable edge of the planet, and it's just... _wow._
Every time I hear this, I'm reminded of my first walk out there. The music in the background, the silent black all around, and Europa bellow. That was 3 years ago.
Deep Stone Lullaby is basically the community’s magum opus for the OST’s. If you ever plan on more Destiny reactions i highly recommend the track “Watchtower” its great on its own but the part it corresponds with in game makes it insanely good
To me it feels like reminiscing of happy feelings with loved ones and as it builds the memories pick up but as they do so, they become more unstable with some painful ones popping into frame and becoming more frequent until it culminates into some sort of tragedy which brings us full circle to the present where we are left with a bitter sweet feeling of happiness and the loss that came with it.
So this song is supposed to represent the transition from a human to an Exo. The idea is that when you hear it the first time it's the pure version, the person as they are, then the second version has this tech feel to it. A more electronic component, represents their awakening to their lives as a Robot. The song is the same, but "corrupted" by the changes to a more technological theme.
This theme will always hold a special place in my heart. I first heard it after spending 7 hours on the boss right before the section where it plays on the very first day the raid came out, and when the team and I finally defeated the boss, we got this as a reward. The feeling of looking out through space while listening to it and Clovis Bray's speech was sublime.
The tranquility and loneliness of the void of space witch is when the song plays…at the orbital station when we go outside…all the sound becomes at this point muffled and only the music remains. A great moment it was.
When I had my daughter I would play this during night time so she could sleep and it worked like a charm. Helped me relax too because sleep deprivation and the fact that now i have to take care of a small human all the overthinking about how much responsibility i have on my shoulders was messing with my head.
The song plays during the space walk portion of the Deep Stone Crypt raid. After the raid race was completed, a version of this song had a chance to play while in orbit during Beyond Light. As one moves through the rest of that platforming section, you can see Saturn's moon, Europa, below you. This space station, the Deep Stone Crypt, is the birthplace of exos. The raid itself in terms of theme is quite the experience. Being a raid, not too many people have heard it.
This song hits so much different, for the very first time in the game and the raid after eight hours of the second boss. Miscommunication, frustration, exhaustion, and then finally when you beat them, you step out into peace.
I have such a deep attachment to this song. Day 1 raid day was tough with an lfg group. But this song was incediable. This song bring back so much memory and is one of my favourite moments and experiences in life. Bungie might not be able to maintain their game but damn they produced one of the best pieces of music. Its unfortunite nothing has come even close to this since.
When I did my first DSC raid and got to this part of the raid I immediately was like it's the lullaby and muted myself so I can just listen to it. It's one of my favorite tracks from D2.
this plays in the Deep Stone Crypt raid, its my favourite song out of the whole game and it never gets boring. its gives me a nostalgic feeling whenever i listen to it
this song brings back an immense feeling of nostalgia playing destiny 1 and 2 for me, so many incredible people and moments i’ve had, makes me cry seeing as it’s over and i’ve moved
Your opinions and interpretations aligned a lot with my own. When I first listened to this track it really took me out of where I was in the game. It had me looking back at all we’ve accomplished in Destiny 2. It plays with the prospect of hope and what could be, and tugs you back to reality at the same time. Very well spoken. You have a really good way of putting feelings into words. Thanks so much for doing this!
@@MarcoMeatball A piece you may enjoy reacting to in the newest portion of the Destiny franchise is 'Lucent World' from the Witch Queen OST. Brought me to tears. I love that you enjoy Destiny too
Hearing Deep stone lullaby for the 1st time was such a beautiful moment for me. You should listen to the Vow of the disciple raid ost specifically either "harvest" or "the first disciple"
Iv always put it like this sense I heard it. Raids are normally a noisy cacophony of guns and booms and especially your team mates calling things out left and right. This is the only time in ANY raid Iv run that every person goes "shut up AND BE QUIET!" And then you hear that first piano note and no one speaks until it's over.
after FINALLY beating aatraks on the day 1 for this raid, stepping into space and hearing this was such a welcome reprieve for a raid group and such a beautiful set piece. One of my favourite day one emblems too!
I think every destiny player has a story about hearing this for the first time. I actually started playing D2 with the launch of Beyond Light. Long story short I got thrown into the deep end immediately with super active players thanks to a new, at the time, co-worker. After playing the game for a few days I got pulled into Last Wish. I had no idea what I was doing. Before that I didn't know what a raid was. I thought it was like a slightly longer strike. Anyways a week later. Maybe 12 days after I started playing I got to do Deep Stone Crypt for the first time. After beating atraks one of the guys says "turn your music up" and they all muted their mics. I didn't know what I was getting into. I had goosebumps the whole 20 minutes I was stuck in the jumping puzzle. That moment even though I died probably 50 times trying to make jumps on my warlock is special. Very special. After that I started paying attention to all the destiny music. Going back through last wish and hearing its music was incredible as well. But probably my favorite moment outside of that was after finishing DSC sitting in orbit the next day and hearing the track again. I know Beyond Light is considered a mediocre expansion by many players but it will forever be my favorite. DSC will forever be my favorite raid. Sad bungie let go of Michael Salvatori and Michael Sechrist. But their music with bungie will forever be some of the best video game music ever made. Oh you wanna see something incredible look up "deep stone crypt live orchestra" Dr. Lupo a few years ago played the raid with the music off but with a full orchestra and wow... I think the original is better but its still incredible.
Deep Stone Lullaby plays during a section where you and your team are in space far above Europa with Jupiter looming in the background. All sounds are muted because of being space. Not only do you have a great piece of music to listen to but you get an incredible view too.
I remember when my team ran for day one contest We were stuck in Atraks for hours and hours, but finally managed to go through him... and then boom The spacewalk section, the sheer beauty and atmosphere of the raid... and this song. The rush of the contest went away, the stress turned itself into calmness and, for a moment, all that mattered was that we were all there, together. Then my friend said "That's it dudes, we won. That's the jackpot right here... thank y'all for this." This moment had refreshed us, brought us together again, motivated the team to carry on. One of my favourite memories in Destiny, by far...
Interesting insight about the song structure. It starts gentle, builds gradually until suddenly it hits a 'wall' that feels out of place and collapses. Then it starts again from gentle, builds a little, but before it can reach where it was before we end on another more subtle dark chord, this one unresolved. As many have already said, it can refer to the life of an exo or a guardian - they live their life, die, and start again without their memories. But what's extra interesting is your perspective that it could also refer to the solar system itself. Actually, I think that view fits it even better: The traveler arrived > humankind advancing and colonizing stars > suddenly, the collapse > starting to build again > but dark clouds are looming again, this time sooner than before.
This is literally the best part of Deep Stone Crypt. Every time i go through DSC right after the Atraks-1 encounter, we go out into space in the Europan orbit and everyone in the raid group just shut ups for a few moments to take in the Deep Stone AI's lines as we jump to the next encounter. It was absolutely breathtaking the first time I experienced it and I'd highly recommend it to anyone that hasn't done the raid yet.
One of the reasons why deep stone crypt is my favorite raid. The amount of atmosphere that went into this is off the charts. After an intense chaotic gunfight, and encounter where you probably will wipe a lot of times You're treated to a spacewalk jumping puzzle... And this song. Well in space sound is muffled in Destiny so you can hear the song even better. It's brilliant. And listening to a musician look at the influences, musical cues, and theory. Everyone talks about how amazing these games are and for decades musicians have just been behind the scenes doing crazy work like this.
I went to listen to it on its own one day and it's one of the top D2 OSTs out there. I had a very sour experience with DSC as my first raid. Ever. So I wasn't listening to how beautiful this was and instead just being upset with the circumstances. I don't have all these sweet first memories the srest of you might as newcomers or veterans. But I can confidently say, a few months and one Descendant seal later. Deep Stone Lullaby is by far a testament to the best that Destiny has given us.
Part of what makes this track so great is the location it plays. After beating the 2nd encounter in the raid, you go on a spacewalk jumping puzzle to reach the next area. As soon as you leave the airlock, the sounds of the game all become very muted and soft, while this plays at full clarity. This is one of the few areas in Destiny where gunfire won't be the loudest sound, and instead this track gets to take over. It's truly the centerpiece of that section, and that's a big part of why everyone who has played DSC remembers this track (besides it just being a good listen).
the context in which this is used in the game is even better. deep stone crypt is by far the best raid that bungie has made when it comes to its storytelling
I just played the Deep Stone Crypt raid, how did i not notice this glorious track!? imma have to throw together a raid team just to listen to this again!!!!
I have heard this track but not often since I didn’t raid Deep Stone Crypt regularly. I thought it was very atmospheric and melancholy. Funnily enough the last time I heard it before this video was when Spotify chose to include it as a track similar to the Love, Simon soundtrack.
No lie. When I was attempting this raid Day 1, literally cried once I heard this song. A combination of frustration and relief with the Day 1 restrictions attempt and just the music being so damn beautiful!
Europa was a lot of fun to explore and discover the various new things that ultimately led to your guardian discovering what it meant to go beyond just being a bearer of light from the Traveler, and experience a new form of energy / power. The soundtrack ebbs and flows from low melodies and strong ones. It's a great piece of music that sets the tone for the next step in your guardian's story.
My Destiny clan has a custom of everyone muting their mics and just letting this song play every time we take a new person into DSC and get to the space walk section where it plays. Beautiful track.
Picture this: it's dayone raid, you are stuck for 5/6 hours on Atracks, frustration is basically the 7th member of the team, and you know that you are basically only half way. then this plays. A calming, soothing music accompaning you for a space hike on a station orbiting around of Europa. My team went completly silence for the entire time. I don't know what it is, I have several dayone raids and a LOT of hours in my playtime and this game have a LOT of issues, but music, music is always a 12/10 and I couldn't be more grateful to the people and minds behind it. ps: after the soothing music we onephased the preboss, and took just one hour for final boss. the power of great music I guess
deepstone lulaby is from the raid deepstone crypt, specifically the parkor segment which is on the outside of the space station over europa. the view doesn't get old. (someone who used to do DSC weekly)
Wish you could have listened to Replicate before you heard this you could understand the serenity this gave a lot of us after completing the encounter that preceded deep stone lullaby.
I CANNOT begin to describe the raw emotion I feel whenever I here this, ESPECIALLY with the voice lines. To me, this track represents the only solid moment you have to think about whether everything that's led you to that point was even worth it. In the voice lines, Clovis Bray flat out says that he doesn't trust the Guardians and their intentions when up to this point, we've been the ONLY ones that people have put their trust in. Hearing something like that WOULD HAVE caused me to really stop and think a bit deeper if I wasn't getting torn apart by Sniper Shanks.
this music plays in the middle of a raid on a space station of Europa where you have to go outside the station to get to the next encounter - being out and exposed to the vacuum of space the sound effects of the game get muffled and the music kicks in. it's well worth the trouble to get there and experience it in game
funny enough I just played destiny 2 again in a long while and man did this give me chills as I listened to it. Again another banger of soundtracks in games that are just good food no complaints or arguments.

@@Noobzlikeu And ana bray
@@Dragonfire-486 Ana isn't an exo.
@@Ashen_Night116 same I have that thought about a lot now all the things Iv experienced that il never get to again In destiny and out of it
Thinking about the nature of the Exos and the inherent tragedy of becoming one, i.e, having your memory wiped, and having all that was once 'you' artificially recreated, having a mind that is constantly at odds with its own body, not to mention the dubious practices of Clovis Bray himself against his Exo subjects.
This is a brilliant idea!
Wow. That is profound. Didn’t know any of this. Damn. My first character in D1 was an exo
It's slowly lulling you to sleep, but you also can't help but shake there's something there in all that calm stillness of it all, making you want to listen and understand more
Can't believe bungie / sony fired this man. Salvatori inspired so many people and has contributed so much to making quality music a industry standard.
salvatori didn't make this one
they still fired the guy who did though so your anger is justified
@@hem9483 BOTH salvatori and sechrist worked on them / made them.
Yes sechrist wrote it but salvatori composed and edited it.
It actually does play during the Deep Stone Crypt raid, during the infamous space walk section
Made possible by Clarity Control." -AI of the Deep Stone Crypt
It is a lullaby and a morning wake, all in one.
Good stuff
I dont why it took me so long to realize you tok a listen to this song, but I'm glad I found it! I couldn't help but smile throughout this entire video, seeing someone enjoy this song really brings a smile to my face I will never forgot my first journey into the crypt, and going across the space walk only to be hit by this song, it's a beautiful moment and something I will cherish forever, even after 50 more adventures into the crypt, it never looses its touch. Thank you for sharing your experience, and I look forward to watching you analyze so much more.
I've always seen this theme as going to sleep as a human and waking up as an exo which is what the crypt was all about
This song really nails the concept of what its trying to portray, falling asleep for the last time as a living creature, then waking up in an Exo body and not knowing who you are, what you are or anything.
The fact that you guys managed to get to Taniks during contest mode is a huge accomplishment, well done.
when my fireteam got past Atrax during day one, when we heard that we instantly shut our mouth without actually communicating, and it was one of the best feelings i ever experienced
Just love to listen to your interpretations
❤️
I gotta give you props for the recent thumbnails. They all look so great!
my thumbnail artist is a beast.
Thumbnail goes hard not gonna lie.
Thank you for reviewing this song
When I had my daughter I would play this during night time so she could sleep and it worked like a charm. Helped me relax too because sleep deprivation and the fact that now i have to take care of a small human all the overthinking about how much responsibility i have on my shoulders was messing with my head.
Wowwww
I would love to raid with you and other music enthusiasts. That sounds like a great time. Love the channel. Keep it up.
every time i hear it i get chills. such a good song
Probably thee most memorable moment day one raid I’ve ever had that my team stopped and just listened for a bit
When I listen to this song without playing the game, it can make me cry. Beautiful piece of art here!
When I did my first DSC raid and got to this part of the raid I immediately was like it's the lullaby and muted myself so I can just listen to it. It's one of my favorite tracks from D2.
The song is supposed to symbolize going to sleep for the last time and waking up as a exo with your memories wiped
this plays in the Deep Stone Crypt raid, its my favourite song out of the whole game and it never gets boring. its gives me a nostalgic feeling whenever i listen to it
this song brings back an immense feeling of nostalgia playing destiny 1 and 2 for me, so many incredible people and moments i’ve had, makes me cry seeing as it’s over and i’ve moved
Every time it starts, without fail, i get goosebumps
I love how deeply you decipher the emotion in the music of titles and how you can verbalize it
The monologue gives the full experience. Everytime I want to listen to this OST I have to have the Monologue in it
Thank you so much for this one
You’re welcome
Yesssssssss. my destiny needs have been satisfied
Going on a space walk with the frozen landscape of Europa in the skybox is so incredible. Easily the best part of the Raid.
YES. THE BEST PIECE OF THEM ALL
Always enjoy the music that Bungie creates.
When there's new people doing the raid everyone shut their mics off so they can really enjoy this song to the fullest
I remember when my team ran for day one contest
We were stuck in Atraks for hours and hours, but finally managed to go through him... and then boom
The spacewalk section, the sheer beauty and atmosphere of the raid... and this song. The rush of the contest went away, the stress turned itself into calmness and, for a moment, all that mattered was that we were all there, together.
Then my friend said "That's it dudes, we won. That's the jackpot right here... thank y'all for this."
This moment had refreshed us, brought us together again, motivated the team to carry on.
Fascinating!
the context in which this is used in the game is even better. deep stone crypt is by far the best raid that bungie has made when it comes to its storytelling
completely immersed me in the setting of the raid with this ost and thats why i love it so much
I just played the Deep Stone Crypt raid, how did i not notice this glorious track!? imma have to throw together a raid team just to listen to this again!!!!
I have heard this track but not often since I didn’t raid Deep Stone Crypt regularly. I thought it was very atmospheric and melancholy. Funnily enough the last time I heard it before this video was when Spotify chose to include it as a track similar to the Love, Simon soundtrack.
This plays when you go out into the vaccum of space during the deep stone crypt raid.
It's one of the best destiny moments ever.
While raiding Deep Stone Crypt I used to always deafen the call I’m in to listen to this
Im on 2000+ hours in D2 and it never stop to amaze me with the new music, im totally hooked on Destiny and Genshin OST for the rest of my life:)
Pleaseeeee play through Deep Stone Crypt if you haven't already, it makes the Lullaby soooo much better than it is standalone
Bro Deep stone Crypt has got to be the most emotional raid ever.
_"Feel the ice of Eureka?"_
LOL, LMAO even
sigh. yes yes. I messed it up. we get it.
That’s why I love beyond light
this song plays during the part of the deep stone crypt raid where you are basicly on a space walk
yes! destiny 2 has so many bangers, and this one is one of the best.
Legacy is another beautiful piece, I definitely recommend listening to it if you have the time! :)
Hearing something like that WOULD HAVE caused me to really stop and think a bit deeper if I wasn't getting torn apart by Sniper Shanks.
this music plays in the middle of a raid on a space station of Europa where you have to go outside the station to get to the next encounter - being out and exposed to the vacuum of space the sound effects of the game get muffled and the music kicks in. it's well worth the trouble to get there and experience it in game
eureka is my favourite moon lol
funny enough I just played destiny 2 again in a long while and man did this give me chills as I listened to it. Again another banger of soundtracks in games that are just good food no complaints or arguments.
You know its good when everyone says "shut the fuck up" when doing the jumping puzzle during the raid.
i reckon you would love rivens theme especially her second phase!
