    When I was in school they used to teach that our system was designed to make the errorr where they let the guilty man go free instead of making the mistake of imprisoning an innocent man so I agree with him that the OJ verdict was an instance where the system worked exactly as it was designed to but the problem is you have to be really rich to have the system work the way it was designed.

    • @mattnj211
      @mattnj211 Год назад

      OJ was guilty and the only reason he got freed was because he was black and rich and had the “dream team” defending him and making everything about race. Also the jury was 9 blacks, 1 Hispanic, and 2 whites. 5 members of the jury said before it even began they didn’t believe OJ was likely to be a murderer just because he was an athlete…oh and all the jurors were democrats.😂 I think now that we have hindsight we can clearly see what really happened in that verdict.

    Penn is right about circumcision. It is not necessary, and it removes normal, sensitive, erogenous tissue for no good reason. And not a small bit of skin either, because the adult foreskin is around 3x5 inches, or 15 square inches. It is something we should have put a stop to decades ago, yet it's somehow still very prevalent in the US.

    • @GrimTalesUnleashed26
      @GrimTalesUnleashed26 2 года назад +1

      I’m tired of it. I’m tired of all the bullsh!t excuses people use to justify it too. Why is it so hard for people to leave boys bodies alone. Until we get rid out religions that require it, boys will never be protected by law, the same way girls are.

    • @rickcanty
      @rickcanty 2 года назад

      @@GrimTalesUnleashed26 Same. It is ridiculous that people think it's just perfectly fine to strip boys of their bodily autonomy, one of the most fundamental rights there is. Even when left intact, people won't leave boys bodies alone, and will do things like forced retraction. There is truly no excuse for this to still be happening in the 21st century.

    • @elisemiller13
      @elisemiller13 Год назад +2

      I can tell you that it's not just better for the man, it's also much nicer (IMO) to leave it alone for This woman. I don't believe in Anyone's genital mutilation (and happento have been raised Jewish) Got to watch my father nearly pass out at his first grandson's bris. WIll never attend another of these "celebrations". FYI I never even Heard of the blood sucking thing...horrors!

    • @brettsodrel6456
      @brettsodrel6456 3 месяца назад +1

      I disagree...I think it's a cleanliness thing for a lot of people and an aesthetic thing for others...I'm not saying uncircumcised men can't have clean penises, so don't jump down my throat...but I do think it's easier to clean and probably stays clean a bit longer...I also know some women say they prefer it (including one in the comment above) but I also know plenty that like circumcised men more, especially in the U.S. probably because that's the norm here...I do totally disagree when people call it genital mutilation though, which is obviously terrible if you're talking about females, but I think we all know when that's done the intent is totally different and there's no justification for it...however circumcision doesn't stop men from having orgasms or from enjoying sex, so I think it's a little disingenuous to compare the two...yes I've heard arguments that it can reduce sensitivity a little and that may be true...I can tell you from firsthand experience though that there's still plenty of sensitivity for guys who are circumcised and we definitely find sex very enjoyable.

    • @rickcanty
      @rickcanty 3 месяца назад +1

      @@brettsodrel6456 The cleanliness argument is completely a wash. It takes literally half a second to clean, and that half a second doesn't justify removing it, just the same as you wouldn't remove any other body part because it takes a second to clean it.
      And I do think the genital mutilation argument is apt. The original purpose of circumcision was to reduce pleasure and to stop boys from masturbating. The operation itself hasn't changed, only the reasonings around it have changed. Up until the sexual revolution parents would freely admit they were circumcising their kids to reduce pleasure, and it wasn't until after that that was no longer an acceptable reason.
      You just cannot unnecessarily remove an iPhone sized chunk of normal, sensitive, erogenous tissue and have that not be mutilation. Think of it this way: even a surgery that has the potential to be life saving, like open heart surgery, is mutilation if you do it to someone who doesn't need it. The exact same is true with circumcision, and even much more so because it's not even close to life saving.

    The theremin was really made popular by Mr. Jimmy Page, of the rock band Led Zeppelin, who was a master of the instrument; and used it in Zeppelin's live shows to do a "call-and-answer"-type thing to Robert Plant's howling vocals. Or rather, (more specifically), Plant's vocals would echo the shrill calls of Page's playing of the theremin, during songs like "Dazed and Confused" and "Whole Lotta Love". True!

    I have often believed we should have two trials for dangerous criminals, an early trial that says there’s enough evidence to take someone off the streets while the proper trial is being prepared. People shouldn’t be held for years in jail with no proof there is at least a compelling case against them, but at the same time because of double jeopardy you get one shot to gather all the evidence and get it right, and in many cases there is compelling enough evidence I believe they should be in jail while the trial is prepared, but the full proper trial still needs to go ahead later, and sometimes in very compelling cases criminals take advantage of the time to say commit additional murders, and that really bothers me, too.
