Red here. I remember this game well. You got really close with what seems like a pretty terrible position at first. The game would probably have ended differently if blue had kept army for a few more rounds. Also: I definitely thought you scammed me at 13:28, haha. Otherwise, we made some good deals. Fun being in a video. Had no idea it was you. Keep up the good work, man. Best Catan creator by far imo.
Glad you made it in the video! You kept things classy and civil unlike some past guests, which is a breath of fresh air. Congrats on the win, well played!
This game had a road building/settlement game that I wanted to see. There has been much ore wheat sheep but playing different adds diversity to this channel.
14:47 I would've ported or traded for 2nd city instead of securing road. There are many paths. Above the desert, below the desert or loop around the 6 wood.
First! Edit: I feel like you dropped the city on the wrong spot, your road materials would have been balanced out a lot more on the 6/11/3. You could have taken/held road a lot quicker and more efficiently, freeing you up to go for the win rather than having to retake road.
Not sure if this is just me, but the last couple of videos' game results were spoiled by the titles. Insane setup = win, not good / impossible = loss, it's kind of predictable that way. I'm no youtube or marketing expert, but it might be a better strategy to make the titles a little more ambiguous. Love the vids though, as always.
Not sure what happened to the old DyLlighted He would have citied 6-3-11 before the 6-3-4 He would have built 2 cities then started pulling devs while citying 5-11 If he ever got road it would have been due to building like 4-5 roads on his last turn Maybe he would have lost anyway but he certainly would have played differently Maybe he needs that second "L" back
Hmmm 12 rolls for your coordinated 6s and u didnt even had road... U got all the set spots u wanted and still u were a looong way from victory. I think your starting pick was problematic. Imho 6-4-11 and 9-3-11 with the sheep port is the better choice. Great vid as always.
Hey Dylan. I just had a glitch in my game which pretty much caused me to lose the game. Do you know if there's anything that can be done via support that could help me out?

A well-deserved win. You kept it classy and played really well
My man

The problem is OWS is easily the best strategy so if he’s trying to win, he’s going to be placing on OWS
@@Ty_Guy2K meh dandydrew been showing that at the highest levels OWS not as good and certainly not always the best.
@@piepie3295 yeah true just depends on the board I guess
@@Ty_Guy2K skill level too. OWS owns noobs but mid level players tend to overvalue it and tunnel vision on the OWS player.

Securing the road path was fine, but that 3:1 for a brick to take road literally was one of the worst plays I have seen from him in a long time.
I think it's important to take road from black at that spot. They could be at 9.
I think blue had pretty much given up on playing optimally by the end tbh, they were dead in the water for quite a while
that was an up hill battle from the start, at 4th position. you did what you could.
He literally threw the game at 15:10.
the chat and trade at 13:28 made me laugh hard
I guess red meant longest road lol
@@mauer1 he did for sure, in his mind dylighted just scammed him and didnt hold up his end to protect road from black lol
This is like that star wars meme with Anakin and the princess.
Fill in the blank: No Wheat Equals ____ !!!
DEFEAT
love seeing ur videos pop up in my feed
2:55 "This is an ugly 4th position. It's certainly winnable." -- No, it's not!
Black was only able to build to 14 roads which might have changed how you played at the end but still probably wouldn't have mattered.
14:55 - Surely you should take the city while you have it in hand, right? I think that's a win condition and you can sneak road from black.
i finally found great catan content
I thought he was gonna miss his upload streak😅
6 4 11 and 6 4 3 and then go to 8 3 brick port?
Yes this would have a better set up with coordinated 6 and 4s. There were lot of 4s in the game as well. 3 ore and 11 sheep are not worth it
The daily uploads are godlike
Good stuff bro!

Yeah he even said it for 10 minutes that he wanted to city that up.
No idea why he thought the other spot was better.
Ended up porting wood for Brick, but could have had +1 road for most of those ports.
youd always beat black for road long term, since you can reach 15 and hes cant with his road path.
Oh yeah he wasted a road lol. Just one more road and Dylan is set because of the ring.
Yes, but good luck winning a road game with 15 roads.
@@alexandernater6284that's how you win one though? Lol
@@jondonjrNo you usually don't win games if you have to waste 30 resources on useless roads.
And once again no wheat equals defeat...
23 cards.... very impressive
I would have placed 6-4-3 and 6-11-12. You can road to 9 wheat and 8 sheep.
