Adam, so sorry for the loss for you and your family. We enjoyed watching Joey in your video's. Praying for you and his family. Can you do a video montage in his honor one day.
Adam, I was very disheartened after hearing the news about Joey. My condolences go out to you, Miss KT, Chip and Joey's family. My prayers are with all of you. It's a small consolation but he passed away doing something that he enjoyed. I hope the best for you and your crew this rally season and will miss seeing Joey in the videos. Take care my friend.
Adam, dang just gutted to hear of your team’s loss. No words brother, nobody needs that kind of news. Prayers covered for you all and his family as well. Keep lovin on each other. Man oh man, so, so sorry.
Greetings. This tip is from a story I heard years ago while working at the Chevron Station in Barnesville, GA. This ladies car was continually overheating. The guys working on it changed all - water pump, hoses, radiator. Still the thing would overheat. Finally some younger fellow standing their listening to all of the frustration blurted out, "Did you check the radiator cap?" Everyone's eyes got a bit wide as they had to admit that no, the radiator cap had not been checked. $5.00 later, and a Stant cap, and the problem is fixed. I learned that if you are going to start throwing parts at a problem, throw the cheapest one first. This actually worked a month ago on my 2002 Silverado, when a $5.00 fuse brough my truck back from dead to alive and kicking. I didn't even know the replacement of the fuse would work. I was kind of stunned for a minute when the dash lit up and the headlights came on.
That’s a good possibility, and I will just replace it regardless, but yes, the more pressure you can keep in the system it raises the boiling point of water
Adam I am at a loss for words my deepest feelings and condolences for Joey's family and yours for the loss of such a great family man, mechanic and friend he will be truly missed 🙏 💔 😢
I'm sorry to hear about Joey! That sucks to say the least. With respects to RV. Block passages are way to big to be plugged. If fan clutch is good it's likely gonna be radiator.
I have had a couple of those class a motorhomes and they run hot, not alot of air flow, I installed dual electric fans in front of radiator with a switch inside cab and when I saw it running hot I flipped on electric fans and it stayed cool.
There is an auxiliary fan on this one as well. But it doesn’t change anything whether it’s turned on or off but I did check it. It does function properly.
Adam I’m so sorry to hear about Joey. When you put your camera down in front of the engine of the struggle bus, I saw a collapsed hose coming from the top of the water pump. I can almost guarantee you that is your issue. Please check the hoses carefully between the water pump in the intake manifold.
I actually had a thermostat act up intermittently years ago. Replace it. Actually I would sell that 454 and trans and cut my losses. Looks like a frustrating, time consuming money pit.
So very sorry to hear about Joey I will miss seeing him. Sorry for your loss Check to see if the fins on the condenser and the radiator are not bent over and they are straight if the fins are bent it will block the air flow and the engine will run hot. You may have to purchase a "fins comb" so you can very carefully comb them back straight Thank you for the video
I am soo sorry to hear about Joey. My condolences and prayers for Joey's family and yours during this loss. He always seemed happy when he was working. RIP Joey. You will be missed.
So sorry to hear about Joey. He seemed to be a valued and loved part of you family & crew. Sounds like he lived his life with passion. As I just said to a good friend this morning, one should live life to the fullest because if you do so you will never have regrets for what you have done but only for what you didn't do.
@@powamoto well, if you really want to fund it, all you have to do is just send me a whole bunch of money, lol. I’m going to assume that you meant find my itinerary. I have uploaded the 2023 schedule on the website, x-tremebikes.com. It is also in the description of all of the recent videos, and will be for the remainder of the year
Great video Adam I'm sure you'll figure it out on the overheating on the struggle bus. Sorry for your loss of Joey thoughts and prayers for you and your family and Joey's family.
And on another note, there is an auxiliary electric fan as well. If the fan clutch was the problem, I would think that when I activated the electric fan, I would at least see a difference in cooling efficiency. But when I turn the auxiliary fan on there is absolutely no change. What so ever. I’m still thinking either a clogged radiator or the thermostat was getting stuck on occasion.
Could be a air pocket needing bled out or may be a unseen pin hole leaking when it gets close to pressure. when you refill the coolant, using a UV dye to spot check might help.
We don’t really run very high rpm, and unfortunately, that’s a hard one to check, but I am going to visually inspect all the hoses and see if any of them feel too soft.
Joey, a true motorcycle drifter. RIP. Condolences to his family.
Sorry for your loss of Joey thoughts and prayers for you and your family, Chip and Joey's family

Yeah, that’s just a bypass hose, I noticed that as well, and I do intend to replace it

Check the fan clutch, I've replaced a few on motorhomes that set for a long time.
It appears to be good

He should just sell it and buy another one
Well I guess I should have watched the whole video before I threw my 2¢ worth in. LOL

Well after leaving my comment I finished watching your video don't I feel like an ass sorry for the loss
No worries
Might be the hose sucking closed at higher rpms
