I might have a blown head gasket on my 4Runner (very small leak if so) or cracked head . I’m still diagnosing. But if so I’m going to junkyard soon to pull a head and then do a head job on it!
Rebuild kits are pretty affordable for the 5 ohs . But I believe they have sleeves you have to press in for the rod + pistons . Which might require a shop to do 😢. Remans are expensive. I would keep a close eye on local market someone might have a cheap engine in a truck running just needs to be pulled! That’s how I find my 350 and 4.3
@@Lonniell95 yeah, I’ve looked at the kits, but time and proper facilities might keep us from doing that route. I know it would be cheaper, and the experience would be great. The trouble with online marketplace is you don’t know if you’re really getting what’s advertised. 🤷♂️
