Again this is so interesting to see and hear how much goes into building a Swale! I had no clue at all and you do an excellent job explaining the strategies and methods!
You are a very informative gentleman as to different equipment that is available to do many different jobs. The only bummer is, and please do not take this as a negative comment against you, the average guy does not have the capability to acquire all this equipment to do his own projects. But I thank you for what you do show in your videos. You present them very professionally. Thank you and have a great day.
Thanks for the kind words. Yes of course one can’t purchase all the equipment we show. However, we think that our variety helps you to choose where to spend your limited budget. For example, in this video, we discuss the choice of 1025r vs 3046r on this blade. By watching last year’s similar episode with 1025r, you can have a good idea about the compromises. From another angle, the laser system, while not ‘free’ is much less $$ than you might think. $2500. And we show a cost effective hydraulic upgrade to integrate it with your tractor. So, we think this system IS within reach of some of our audience. Overall, it is hard to balance our desires of providing helpful educational content while maintaining realistic budget. I hope you can understand the challenge!
Good job. I spent a Saturday a few weeks ago volunteering me and my tractor for a local Christian school that is trying to refurbish a disused baseball field. I spent the day tilling, dethatching, and dragging a chain harrow. I enjoyed it and it was for a good cause. Hopefully the sons of a friend of mine will have a place to play baseball soon.
Saw a guy use a skid steer the other day. He took out a bucket width down to grade. Then put one wheel in the center and cut the swale in. The he did the same on the opposite side. When finished it looked like it would be very easy to keep maintained. Very cool set up on the box blade.
Sounds like a good operator! Yes, one strip down the middle, then slopes via wheel in furrow on each side makes a very nicely shaped swale…especially when smoothed up with the power rake!
Tim thanks for sharing this video. I need to dig a swale along my property line. mine will need to be about 200 ft long. I can’t afford one of those laser controlled box blades. But I think I’ll have to rent a laser to check my grade and work from there with a tiller and box blade.
Thanks for pointing this out! Disappointed to see this. Apparently we have some settings wrong. We’ll get it fixed. We put an incredible amount of effort into this content…it is frustrating to see that we have published 4 episodes incorrectly…including one with incredible drone shots of the TS10’and wedding.
Fun video! Can I ask a question about the Maschio hydraulic offset flail mower that you have shown previously? What is the range of cutting heights that it can cut - the manual doesn't tell. You mentioned adjusting the cutting height, but I didn't notice you saying what height the choices were. I have the same question about the Maschio hydraulic sickle mower that you showed - does it only cut one height? What height does it cut? Thanks!
Would an orifice restrictor(s) on each cylinder smooth out the motion? Would need to be fairly small, maybe 1/32" diameter, to slow down those small cylinders.
We have tried similar (flow control valve). Does not really help much since it takes so little oil to move the cylinder. I suppose I could try a larger diameter cylinder.
Tim most building codes on a 30 foot span want a 3.75 inch drop for drainage in a 3 to 6 inch pipe so if you take your laser level and you don’t see that amount of fall then measure 40 feet and if you don’t see 5 inches off the rear of the buildings and in between the front corners if they are for example 20 feet apart and you don’t see 1.25 inches of fall from 12 inches down the foundation then it’s all sloped incorrect
The most American thing I can think of is understanding base 10 works better than imperial but then using tenths of a foot instead of metric. I mean, it's still better than inches, but cmon manufacturers just list metric as an option and force us into sanity
I’m actually surprised RUclips or some other anti-American/anti Christian group hasn’t complained the use of any word resembling “Christ” appeared on the screen. Nice video Tim! Another fine job with the family!
It's sad when we live in a nation under God and there are so many people against God. I know I'm not the only one that sees this country falling as people keep removing God from everything. I personally enjoy watching Tim doing work for the Christian Community to help them thrive and continue God's work. I do enjoy watching all of Tim's videos.

So fascinating! I am so amazed at the amount of pre-work and strategy there is to cut a Swale! I never knew and has NO clue!
Always enjoy you on the tractor or any equipment grading the ground! I believe you are the expert on grading! Between you and Neil!
One of my favorites! Love watching you share and then direcr!
I'm glad you like these. We put a LOT of effort into them, and we have lots of fun with family.,

Absolutely I do. Thank you for the response. Have a Blessed Life@@TractorTimewithTim
Wonderful work for Oil Belt! Fun to watch the project come to life. Shout out to Tom and Randal. Blessings.
I always enjoy episodes with Tom and Randall.
That 3r handled the box blade well
Always good to see family involved👍
The laser controlled blade works great. It’s nice to see you helping out a good cause. It will come back to you ten fold. Great video Tim

Yep. Quite rewarding!
TTWT= blessed
I love the last clip about the bucket level indicator. Thanks for including
Great drainage project, good progress with Tom and Randall helping.
Having a knowledgeable team to help makes it go much faster, and we have lots of fun too!
Love the videos with family. Randall has quite the dry whit! Thanks for taking us along.
Good job looks like you had fun. I’m sure the church appreciates your time. God bless.
I remember when you first got this attachment. There was a learning curve to it, but now that you have it mastered it looks like such a time saver!
My kind of project. Thanks for sharing.
always great to see the whole Marks clan working together on a great project!
Nice job👌
Wow, nice job, guys that Lazer works great 👍🏻.
Great video!
Done plenty with 3 point box blade.
Awesome job Tim
😄 Love those projects where you guys work together and with equipment that gets the job done. Nice work guys.
Nice
amazing how "simple" farming/ground work has a lot of complex math/calculations
Like the content of your videos. Gives everyone an idea of what you can accomplish.
Another great project! Great teamwork
Great looking swale and all of you made quick work of creating it. A 5 patties cheeseburger wow, did you eat more than one since it was a big project?
Love to see more laser grading Tim
tenths of a foot... a way to go 1/2 way to metric. I love it.
We deserve it. Penalty for our stubbornness!
Looks good can’t wait to next week nothing like a good earth moving project

Nice work when you needed some more tilling in the middle of the swale to knock down a hump you could just make out the rise in the grade in the video
Yes! It's nice having the right equipment to do the job!!!😮😅🍔🍔🍔🤞🙏👍✌️
Tim where is ur kubota tractor? Haven’t seen it in a while
Never seen a tractor moving so slow pulling a box blade
Yep. Going slowly to allow the laser time to manage the height of the blade.
@@TractorTimewithTim must not be on the same level as other GPS and lasers on other tractors and construction equipment

First happy Sunday!
You're not doing it for free God is paying you in his way big blessings
Who’s 3320 with the loader? Didn’t think yours or Tom’s had a loader.
You noticed! I bought a loader used for old salty (My 3520)…loaned it to them. Not sure they will give it back!
"3/10 of a foot", first time I hear of that measuring unit, some form of Imperial/Metric hybrid system! I guess!
Noticed your last few videos are only 720 and not HD. Not a big deal just wanted to mention it. Love that GPS system!
Thanks for pointing this out!

Several height choices. Ground level to say 4 inches or so I think. However, our experience shows that lower cutting height makes for best cut.
Thanks!@@TractorTimewithTim

Could you set up 2 lasers to cover the dead zones?
What type of shirt are you wearing Tim ? Love your channel
Ariat. Love it. Link in the description to get a discount.
@@TractorTimewithTim ok thanks 😊 I’m almost a neighbor I’m in Three Rivers Michigan 😜
10 feet away from the buildings the slope drop should be 1.25 inches
You drove right past my house on your way there. Did you wave as you went by? 👋🤔
Yes, and thought of you when I saw the Rinard sign!

Last 3 videos have been in 720p. Just curious if something happened.
Someone else just pointed this out.
Failure on our part. Ugh! We’ll have to figure it out. VERY disappointing.

indoctrination
Someone has to combat the crap schools are feeding our kids.
easier maths? go metric!
Correct! But we can’t do THAT! We’re too stubborn! :-)
