  • This is not just for palliative patients. It's for you whatever your health. It is so important to think about these things and discuss your wishes.

I do think it’s strange how scared of death we are in this society because it’s something we all have in common and having a living will can take pressure off your family and like you said give peace to the person knowing it will be like they want it to be. I shared this video it is so important so thank you for making this. Sending you much love xxx

Hello! Thank you so much for all the lovely things you have said. It's odd, the way we all react and talk about death, isn't it? Sending positive vibes back your way xx

I’m gonna write one up! I wouldn’t want my family to feel guilty or stressed about what to do if something happened. Thank you for bringing this up! 💖💖💖

Absolutely fine. So pleased it's had an impact. We should be talking about this stuff! The website is amazing at explaining everything, and has documents about talking to professionals about your wishes as well. X

I didn't know about this - Thank you for sharing! I will look into this and start the conversations

That's brill! It's a really great set of resources. Dying is something that happens to us all and yet we can't comfortably talk about it. That needs to change x

Onie s-p I’m so pleased it has sparked a conversation for you. It’s almost whispered about, but it’s so important that it’s out in the open x

Have missed seeing you on your channel. I was the POA for health care for my Mom and took care of her at home with a Hospice team. Going with her to fill out paperwork for her living will was sad and pretty scary but I am glad she made those decisions long before I needed to be brave enough to carry out her wishes. Even so ...m there are times I feel guilty for having agreed to stop the procedures

My pleasure! I just know that I would want to know about this stuff and wish someone had told me sooner. If you wouldn't mind sharing to get the word out I would be so grateful.

It is a really important conversation for sure, although I hadn’t thought about doing it as a generally healthy 30 year old. I will happily look at the website though and give it some serious thought, especially as I am a student nurse so am likely to come across it in my career.
I’m sorry for the circumstances that have led you to finding out about all of this but it is great that you feel better about it all and that you are educating others :)

    Hello Hannah!
I love the scrapbook you put at the beginning of your video. :)!
Thank you for making this video. When my parents first made their Living Wills, back in the 90s, I was kind of freaked out. But, now I am okay with them.
My mother-in-law had a Do Not Resuscitate order when she was in the nursing home.
I know that medicine is far and away better than in history; but the way we treat ppl now is not. A hospice for respite is one thing, but tossing family members into nursing homes; which are pretty much minimum security prisons, is not.
    Ok, enough of that!
You look soooooo pretty and I love the 2nd hairstyle.
    Cheers!
    Shala

Hi Shala. I thought they were quite a new thing! It's staggering that no one really seems to know about them despite how important they are. Best wishes to you x
