Dudley is my favorite SFIV character. Also love playing as T. Hawk, Feilong, and Sakura.. along with all of the members of SFII cast.
The Rolling Thunder super is based off the Dempsey Roll from Hajime No Ippo

I agree Dudley was the best new addition to SF3. Not only that but I was drawn to his fighting style and characteristics more than Balrog.
Dudley is cool and I appreciate the character very much...for some reason I just love the unbridled brutality in which Balrog brings to the pugilist game.
Dudley is one of Capcom's best designs IMHO.
Dudley is such an character he's basically the complete opposite of Balrog. Capcom has no dignity because they didn't add dudley in sf5.

I still cannot understand properly how Dudley can grab a dainty cup while wearing a pair of boxing gloves. That aside, I think Dudley is a very gentle character.

Man!!! Dudley is the most funnest character in the game once you know his strategy. I like Dudley bcuz he got a style to his boxing. And Balrog doesn't, he just only hits really hard power ain't nothing alone if he don't have that strategy that Dudley has.

I’m pretty sure Dudley is based on 1920s boxers. His haircut, moustache, and attire is very much a 1910s/1920s style.
Hes based on a boxer in England named Chris Eubank. His personality and mannerisms are at least.

Absolutely loved this video. And you are the perfect person to be covering it. That feud with Balrog makes such total sense and even if the two had just turned up trying to figure out who was the better boxer it would have been okay, but the massive differences in philosophy really give it something extra.
I was also a big Eubank fan back in the day, mostly because I was constantly entertained by his persona, so I remember the face-offs with Benn well too. Thanks for putting a rare smile on my face this week.

While I get your hang up on Dudley’s style being based on some forgettable boxer from the 90’s, his style is obviously based on Jack Dempsey and his iconic Dempsey Roll is the basis for the super moves.
Aside from me, someone else thought that Dudley was loosely based off Evander Hollyfield?

Dudley is my favorite Street Fighter characters of all time as well. I just love his classy style of boxing, his quick attacks, and his target combos. If he ever returns in SF6 I'll give my money to Capcom any day.

For years ppl have argued the silliest racial disputes saying Dudley is ''Indian British". Ppl would get triggered every time someone black/african american even so much as did a Dudley cosplay. It was annoying beyond belief that ppl cared that much about Dudley's race despite Capcom never once even alluding to it.
Edit: Before anyone else says it, I'm not saying it was silly to believe one thing or the other. I was saying it was silly for people to make a big fight out of it.

I mean me and my friends thought the same thing. It's not silly. It has nothing to do with some evil racial agenda. If you have been to England you would notice there are many South Asians who are now even 2nd or 3rd generation. I thought he could possibly be Indian descent because of how similar he looks to Darun from SF EX. I dont care what race he is but we both know native British do not have melanin like that and Africans do not have straight hair like that. At the end of the day it doesnt matter but please dont categorize us with some agenda.

Besides, on Europe you can see all kind of ethinicities walking on streets, but you won't see many Whites and africans in most of Asia or many Whites and asians in most of African countries, just saying.
