The Story of Geraghty Loma 13 “Most Ruthless Gang of East LA”

- Located in the hills of City Terrace, this stand alone gang neutralized every threat by being extremely militant while using their topography to their advantage.
These guys and the Maravilla gangs where going at it hard in the 90s. Especially with the Greenlight in effect. Their turf is ideal for defence and ambush.
That was a time I remember that L.A. County jail it was CRAZY!!!!!! Every other hood was on the greenlight list in the 90"s
No bs man one way in one way out n hella cuts n alleys
It’s a maze with twists, turns and hills.
If you get lost there, you’re fucked. It’s like the hills have eyes but cholos.
Yep. I grew up down the street from this gang, in Gage Maravilla’s hood, and saw plenty of shoot outs during the 90’s.
@@Ant-bm1qk this foo🤣
I was born and raised in city Terrace, I could see my house when you played the dukes liquor store, same block 5 houses from the right to left. I move away in 1998 to east LA projects. Today I’m at CSUN studying chicano studies.
Good job Homeboy. I grew up in East LA near Soto and Charlotte. I went to CSUN and graduated with BSN nursing. Stay focused and always disregard the Haters. While you grind away with education. I worked at Hospital on Reseda and Roscoe for years.
Well done Hood War Stories. This is good journalism and the photos slides are great! Lovin this channel. Keep these old school gangsta stories comin
GREAT Channel but, One of the best things about this channel, is the amazing pics. I have to "stop and rewind" the
video numerous times because the pace is way too fast!
Your too slow
With all Respect to all Raza from different VARRIOS IN MARAVILLA WE ALL LOST ALOT OF GOOD HOMIES FOR WHAT WE MADE HEFITAS CRY.THATS WHAT HURTS THE MOST. AND WE ALL GET BURIED IN THE SAME PANTION.
That's right lost of raza lost to those streets war plague the barrio RIP first drive byes recorded comes from those barrios it the real thing as I recorded all the desmadre in my memories 🙏
I didn’t realize how oppressed y’all was under that big homie “ I could never understand that as deep as the hood our seems like the calles gotta mind some one .
good lord your Spanish sucks
Your narration is always on point and excellent! Keep up the great work 👍
Great job once again! Often imitated, but never duplicated. You got dudes copying you, but their work is never as professional. 👍 💯

I grew up in City Terrace, lived right next to Kennedy Elementary school. I saw plenty of warfare between GL and CT firsthand as a little boy. As I recall, another big rival of GL was El Hoyo MV, which was right down Hazard Ave. The late 60's and early 70's was rough living in ELA.
I used to live in west LA , but used too go to Harrison elementary in City Terrace. I remember walking around these hoods just ditching.
Harrison, Elementary 👌
I remember when Harrison was being built.
They’re still around. All the OG hoods in the area have died down a bit but almost all of them are around if you go looking for them.
Lol why would anyone go looking for them? If you go looking, you might find, and chances are you're not going to like it. Lol 😵💫
Most of these new age gang bangers are tweekers on bicycles.
Lets go on a OG field trip 😀
Yep, the same abandoned houses (hangouts) and graffiti were there, about 13 years ago, when I last visited that hood.
@@princegroovewhere is the abandoned houses now
I like how you can hear him sparking up a blunt at the end lol
The narration then hearing the lighter flick at the end........classic
Gang life and overall criminal life was probably a much better option than it is nowadays. No cameras, communities scared to snitch, everyone was outside , drug epidemic
i miss those days
Great videos, educational for the mesos. I lived there on geraghty for over 20 years. Across the street from the neighborhood market on Geraghty and Blanchard were I’ve seen many drive byes. Then moved down the street next to San Philipe Church. Had a lot of respect from all the homies there.
Our Lady of Guadalupe Church was our church besides San Philipe. Too all the homie, life is too short. 🙏
I grew up down the block Going to city terrace park
I grew up around these Gangs three was 3 main Gang and we're nothing to play with as I played with my 3_4_5 year old kids we would wittess drive by or walk up and blast in day light and night time And we would run home those Hills to me are the most beautiful land in the planet....
7 and 5 years for leaving someone paralyzed is crazy.
Can you do 5 point crips in Denver especially the aftermath of when Timmy and Jimmy smoked 13 bloods in one night AND got the fellas marshmallows and ginger ale?
Do a video on the socioeconomic impact of inflation and the rise of gang violence in Los Angeles
Bro wtf u talking about
@@JBird8411 ?
Socioeconomics don’t fit into why these gangs came around in the 50s n 60s this make no sense these gangs where around before all these “Anti Minority programs” the government supposedly made in the 60s we got the most detrimental inflation now And these gangs ain’t just come around Nigga

A lot of people forget that Geraghty Loma was Maravilla once upon a time, I ran across a vete at Twin Towers who had the takas GLM on their back, telling me the stories of the hills. Speaking of Maravilla remember when Gage was known as GBSX3 lol

You don’t realize how narrow the streets are and how steep the hills are in and around Geraghty until you actually experience it for yourself. Last year I went to check out the area for myself just to experience it. Any rival sets who tried to go on the attack would have been at such a tactical disadvantage that it would be like committing suicide. The vantage points that the homies from Geraghty had on the hills would have been such an advantage.
You should do some on OC barrios like Ftroop formally known as Barrio Artesia Lopers HardTimes Delhi Logan SantaNita etc

I was in a tagging crew called TIK that came out of South Central. We had homies move to the valley and East Los. The homies in east Los joined Geraghty Lomas/Rockwood so I thought they was clicked up. The South Central TIK's mostly joined Harpy's and the Black TIK's joined 21 st Black P stones and the deuce 5's. The Black dudes were allied with us but the Mexican TIK's went to East Los and the Valley to help out the OG TIK's. I remember going to East Los to put in work on the Maravillas and to the Valley to put in work on the AP's and Blood Gangs. Back in our hood we were enemies with every Latino, Asian and crip gang. Also the bloods with the exception of the 21 st BPS and Duece 5's.
Some of these neighborhoods that have free reign in their city don't realize the real beef that goes on with gangs that are in close proximity to each other. My neighborhood on 8th and Washington was within maybe 30 neighborhoods that were at war with each other every day.
@@jorgeirigoyen2876 interesting history bro. Very solid.
@jorgeirigoyen Tik's in east side didnt join Geraghty. They joined the Lott 13

They were strong before heroin got the best of them and before the stoner gangs started coming up in the late 70s, such as Gage Boys and The Lott Stoners
