The wheels give them that extra touch of realism even the chain has the logical swager plus to scale. The handrails do look dainty and scream no kids aloud, lol. Great review, Jersey Bill
Good lord these locos are far to complex for me😂😂. Ive been watching your videos since i was about 10 or 11, and they are excellent and very inspiring!! I am now 22 and mainly review old locos and rolling stock on my channel, to keep costs low!!!! Greetings from scotland!! 🏴Have a great day!!
Excellent review. I sure do miss the lug, lug, lug of the big General Electric locomotives. Those models are absolutely beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Dave
Ill admit in real life ES44s have my favorite throttling sound. But in model form ESU really knows how to make those 7FDL GE's sound absolutely amazing. Both have a good idle sound in real life too
Yes, I graduated high school the year Seaboard System was created. Never will forget the first time I saw one in person. I thought it was the absolute coolest paint scheme ever!(and still do) 😉
Hey man! This might be a weird question, and also 6 years too late but I’m going to ask anyway. 6 years ago you made a video reviewing the BLI paragon 3 ATSF 4-8-4 Northern 3751. I’ve been looking all over for that loco lately and I can’t find it. (If you still have it) is there any way you would be willing to sell it? I just sold a nice engine and I have the money to pay top dollar for it. Thank you so much.
@@DietPizza1 When I MU'd these with the older ES44's, the speed difference and throttle response was different. Clearly some speed matching was needed. Called scaletrains and they told me this run has new motors

I’m huge conrail fan. Grew up in collinwood/Cleveland Ohio. Love this locomotive
I just ordered the Contrail Quality 1976. Very nice presentation, James!

I agree Seaboard is the best looking - The Chessie CSX messed up as lettering is way to small. But overall these units look well done.
I like the SBD and Conrail units..
Those look awesome can't wait to get the pere marquette one
Same, if they make it in N scale of course.
I wonder when they'll do the NS heritage units, both the GE's and SD70ACe's
The rd number is the year each RR was formed. Just an FYI.
Thank you for another great review. 1.21.25.
thanks!
@@jlwii2000those csx heritage units you have are sharp looking
The Seaboard system exhaust stack is different from the other 4
New boxes
The number corresponds to the year the company was chartered, fyi
Good catch!

Kind of odd that the brake chains are black on one side and rust color on the other side.

They switched to new motors on these
No one ever talks about the mechanical upgrades, wish they did more
