i think this is actually my favorite song that i've heard her sing.

i was born in 94 i always liked tis song it brings back wen i was a kid and selena singing it is hella awesome
I believe she did FANTASTIC. Not her best performance, but she's living her dream, doing what she loves. why do people have to hate on her for doing what she loves?
I love both songs...And wow, I knew she could sing, but "Love Is A Battlefield" showed how amazing she actually is : )

Its actually pretty good. Keeping in mind concerts live from bad accoustics and fan screams it tends to be hard to hear the vocals properly.
I think Selena did a really good job at this, obviously it's nothing compared to pat, but she did her best & its my favorite cover of the song soo far [celeb wise] At least she knows GOOD music :)
@ZeroG57 yeah they usually do, if there dancing alot and running out of breathe, just most singers have a backtrack in the earphones to block out any other noise except for the music. But since Selena doesnt dance, she must run out of breathe easily to have a bad track. I know this because my uncle works for live musical theater. Lady gaga dances and performs, she may NEED backtrack, but other than that she doesnt.
I hate to admit this, but she's not half bad. And her band is excellent. Far cry from Ashley Tisdale's murder of Shadows Of The Night.

she was singing along with the track like most music groups...to void the noise from the crowd They even sound almost identical and she kept going with the performance. get your facts straight before disrespecting someone.
I'm not the biggest Selena fan, but you pointed out a prime example of why I now would go to a show of hers. hesitating to go to any gig, now I know what Selena would do if she messed up...she would make it work for the best and perform like a great star.

Singers do NOT play a track in the background if they sing live, maybe on the chorus if there really dancing.. but Selena doesnt really dance she just walks around... so she shouldnt be out of breathe,,, singers use a back track in there ears, to block out noise from the croud.. its in there ear phones. Dont come at me like i dont like Selena cause like i said i DO, i like her as an actress, but singing is not her strong point.. so calm down.
Let's put it this way, I'm sure we've all heard this song sung 10x worse. As far as covers go, this isn't bad. A proper studio version would be a better comparison.
