    I just lost my mom to pancreatic cancer last year. But one thing i will ALWAYS remember her teaching me as a kid growing up. Especially, when we lived in the Berkshires of western massachusetts. Where i started my birding career some 30+yrs years ago. Was too take the time too look up at the sky on a crystal clear night and awe at it's beauty and vastness. It's a sure fire way of "humbling" a human being really quick. In terms of just how small we truly are in the grand scheme of everything.

    I live a couple miles from the museum. My son and myself had an encounter with a visual in 2018 on Hood. Cliff is a great guy and was very gracious when we told him about our encounter and the evidence we collected over a year of researching. Come to find out, Cliff said our encounter location was one of his secret spots! Conner was also very cool and took down our report. I can almost guarantee if you go to this spot (especially in April it seems) something will happen if your patient and camp a few days. It was the most terrifying moment of my life during the encounter. Don't worry Cliff and Conner, your secret is safe with me! We used the Oregon Bigfoot Highway to zero in on them. Must have book if you live in Oregon. We listed all of the accounts in the book by date, location and weather, a pattern emerged that gave us a location. We had so much success thanks to that book.

    has anybody ever played captured bigfoot audio to wild animals like bears , wolves, deer to see thier reaction, it would be interesting to see a grizzly cower in fear to a recording being played

    • @MeltWithU
      @MeltWithU Год назад +1

      That’s a good idea that I never thought of. Though, I think we should probably leave deer out of it… As they are schizophrenic over anything. But it would be interesting to see what wolves and bears do… If you could actually find them somewhere without spooking them first. Maybe one of the trail cams that has a cellular connection that can show live footage to a phone. So you know exactly when they are there and you would need some sort of device to allow you to play those sounds remotely. Which, would be the biggest Issue.
      You would almost need some sort of IP addressable, cellular audio device, hooked up to a amplifier and speaker that were battery powered. Battery powered isn’t that hard, because I have a battery device that could probably power something like that for at least 16 to 20 hours. It’s just finding somebody to design the software to allow you to connect remotely and play the sound when you see a bear or wolf in the live trail cam footage.
      Definitely would be a great idea. Just to get a reaction to see whether or not those animals may have had an interaction that terrified them so much that they would flip out at the very sound. But it definitely would require that they had contact with one before. As, the sound may scare them regardless. But, it would be what I would think, and entirely different interaction if they had had contact with one of these things before. Because even with human contact and somebody screaming at a bear, sometimes because they have been in decent contact with humans due to the area they are in, they won’t be as scared of them. Which I would think those animals would be the perfect candidate. As they won’t be spooked as easily, and therefore the reaction will be genuine to the sound, and not just any sound at all.
      I would love to see somebody try it. Though I think it’s one of those circumstances, that you would never know if the reaction was generalized or specific.

    Eli , When Emily and Connor were out there and she initially heard the clacks and elaborated on it I have too, I am a long standing native Californian with lineage to the mid 1800’S , I have been in the areas you guys have been , Even near Mt.Hood Ski Resort from Pineview Oregon and it’s squatchy there without doubt, Been into this before the internet and as a kid at a cabin south of Yosemite valley in a remote area with nothing back beyond in there, On the way to Lake Tahoe about half way I take a old logging road about six or seven miles in to a small shallow alpine lake , It’s a basin back in there that’s extremely dark at night , I been all over the Sierras and darker than any other place , My initial point on this is I was backpacking at dark alone with some moon back in and up about four to five miles into the high country a bit north away from where people may go, The first morning I chilled tired , Caught dinner and slept and the second night alone with absolutely NO ONE UP THERE! I hit the sack and alone you are a bit hyper aware and after 3:00 a.m. I was awaken by something in the small tent by a creek next to the lake and in two intervals I heard ROCK CLACKING !! I knew what it was since my childhood being fascinated , I was freaked out a bit and couldn’t sleep and at predawn with a tad more visibility went to the knoll a hundred yards away , Nothing on the hard granite and some scuffs in the crushed , I am certain no one was there , I would bet anything and I had intense to wait for a friend, But decided to head down, With little talk of BF and no internet yet as it was a subject not many were into, I assure you there was not a soul that fall, So they I believe we’re letting it known a human was there . Many other events in this dark basin below that’s wild as it gets , Kevin .

    I love this video style. Part adventure, part journal, locations, interviews. Are you taking suggestions for future episodes? I'd love to see video on the Scape Oar Swamp Lizard Man. Fantastic story, police reports, newspaper articles. That'd be fun!!
    And just a passing thought I had, it was mentioned about tracks being found in a straight line through paths & openings in the tree line, then you showed broken tree limbs & downed trees. Maybe they make their own straight line through the woods, breaking trees as they go for a more direct route. Just a thought.

    Gotta admit Eli I have unfairly criticized you on past shows .. love your attitude. Cliff B. is a treasure - what a fine human being.

    I love your different approach to investigating Bigfoot, such fabulous scenery too. You’re so lucky having such a diverse biosphere of flora and fauna to explore, here in the UK you’re never far from people and urban areas, keep up the good work.
