Rigging vids by severne show taking tension out of the sail after it's properly rigged. Thanks for the vid!

Thanks for watching. I then tweaked the tension of the battens when first rigged, but found those initial settings weren’t too far off. Pulling anywhere near the stated downhaul will release tension in the leech (trailing edge) of the sail. This is probably the best rigging video I’m aware of: ruclips.net/video/TITTupJLg9M/видео.htmlsi=Nr1kcNxcy4EFt5zu

Thank you so much for this video. I have always used rented equipment, fell in love with windsurfing and Just purchased my first Serverne. No one ever mentions the battens so I appreciate it greatly appreciate this information 😊

Hey there, I intend to buy a 5.5 Gator (or NCX I haven't decided yet). I have larger size Turbos in 6.0 and 7.0, and the shop tuned the battens for me. They put all the battens in neutral first, then overtighten the head batten by 1 turn, they overtightened the next two battens next to the head batten by 1/2 turn. The fourth got 1 turn, and the next two on the bottom 1.5 turns. Then they further adjusted the battens after they rig the sails with the recommended downhaul, removing all horizontal wrinkles on the panels and making each panel look like drum. I hope the recipe helps.
