You got to talk with Justin Hayward of The Moody Blues!!!! You ladies are legendary!!!! Congratulations!!!
@Jayden Madden Oh, great. Now, EVERYBODY is going to want to hack your Girlfriend's Instagram Password, using InstaPortal.
You LUCKY ladies!! I have loved this man for SO long!
Justin Hayward not only is a musical genius but one of the coolest, nicest people you'd ever want to meet. An amazing guy.
Kudos to Justin for recognising the quality of Larkin Poe and so giving them an interview.
Wow, what a wonderful interview. As Rebecca & Megan were "leaning into the phone", I was leaning in to my computer screen - totally taken back in time to the story Justin was sharing. Keep the music and the covers going! You're both making a huge difference in music that we haven't seen in a generation. Very impressed!
Agreed... We haven't seen the likes of Rebecca and Megan in a generation.
So impressed you ladies realize what a privilege this was. Justin Hayward is exceptional.
✌
Their ability to listen to him echoes how they musically listen to one another and explains some of their musical magic.
At 1:39 Justin Hayward is asked "Where on the World are you?". He replies that he is in his apartment in a little village on the Mediterranean Sea just inside the French border with Italy. I think that "little village" is Monte Carlo in the Principality of Monaco!!!
Some years ago, one of my neighbours told me that his eldest daughter was working in TV production. She was working on a "Story Of The Moody Blues" video, and had to go to Monte Carlo to interview Justin. Apparently, he is an absolute gentleman and was very accommodating to the production crew making the film ( as were all of the band members past and present). The Moodies video is well worth a look.
And Mesdames Larkin Poe, your take on "Nights In White Satin" just exceeds excellence. Thank you so much. Please keep on with your outstanding music!
As someone old enough to remember when this song first came this was a true pleasure to hear . Back then the Moody Blues in some circles were considered to be modern day prophets. Eagerly awaiting the next album and the wisdom contained in it . 🙏👌😊☮️❤️
I'm 58 and I have strong memories of visiting a friend's house somewhere around 1973 and hearing the friend's older brother spinning an LP of The Moody Blues. I was immediately enthralled and it's been a love affair ever since. Thank you for sharing this.
Mr. Hayward said it right, "you girls create magic"!
Rebecca & Megan, this was truly great! 👍👍👍👍👍 I knew that Justin would love your version of his song! It was so cool to hear him say that hearing you perform Nights In White Satin was like "hearing it for the first time"! 💖💖💖💖💖 He was so right when he spoke of the Larkin Poe magic. Three great musicians sharing their thoughts about great music, just loved it!! Thank you for sharing Justin's thoughts with us!!! 👍💖🎸😎
audiophile man Totally agree ! Rebecca & Megan never slow down and their charm keeps growing.
@@frankboyd. I fell in love with their music the very first time I heard them. Can't remember what song it was, probably one of their blues covers like Come On In My Kitchen, Preachin' Blues, or Hard Time Killing Floor Blues. They are clearly talented, but their love for the music they play is just so evident that you just can't help loving it too! 👍👍👍
Well, you girls just jumped into musical history - in another century! The vibe is the same because the greatest compliment you pay a song writer is to sing their song. You two, as Justin alluded to, can sing songs - any time, any place. Because you own it - not for the sake of lawyers and copyright, but for the same reason the song was written - to be sung and heard. Thanks for sharing this interview.
Wonderful to hear Justin Hayward voice Thank you for sharing. It was so good to hear his voice while the COVID-19 is happening. So many voices we can’t hear cause of Covid-19.The world is silent with no Concerts.
AWESOME (and I have every Moody Blues album!) Very interesting hearing Mr. Hayward.
Ladies, this was absolutely magical! My eyes were shinning as much as yours during this! THANK YOU for sharing!
What a great interview with one of rock’s most underrated poetic songwriters. Great job Rebecca and Megan
Now I want a talk show where you guys interview your heroes
WOW! That was such a great interview! You gained his respect and he just opened up. Plus, you knew to just let him talk. Great job.
Oh my gosh, I don't know how you didn't lose it while speaking to him! How Blessed you are! I adore Justin, and you ladies are truly amazing!!
One of the best Hayward interviews I've ever heard!
Great 'effin conversation. I was riveted!!!! I was smiling the whole time!
So, I was born after Nights in White Satin was written and recorded, but it's honestly one of my favorite songs of all time. I think _haunting_ is the only way to describe it. And your cover is fantastic.
Thank you ladies! Thank you Justin! I'm 67 years old now. The Moody Blues guided me through my wayward youth. I was constantly looking forward to the release of their next album and more insights into the You-niverse. Thank you for this new perspective of those moments long ago. Just moments ago. Forever Grateful Justin for lighting my journey, encouraging me to keep moving forward. Just what we want to be, we will be in the end. And I love you. Yes, I love you! 🙏🙏🙏 Johnny Rose 🌹
Justin is SUCH a class act! Always down to earth and generous with others. My all time favorite male vocalist, with a unique sounding voice.
That man was charming to you guys that is your moment
Justin Hayward is a class act, and one of the most underrated guitarists ever. Kudos to the ladies for getting to interview him!
Maybe underaated for you but for most people who know about music he has never been underrated. Silly comment!
Agree, he has a unique gift
The MAGIC in this conversation is JUSTIN HAYWARD!
What an incredible interview with a real legend. You two are so incredibly lucky to have been able to do that. Now get back in that studio!
Musicians interviewing musician what a great concept. So nice to hear and see this in an unrushed format, so personal. Love your reactions, his included. You should do more of these. ♥️☮️🇨🇦
I think Justin is so humble in his explaination of Nights. He is pure genius with his gift from
God. He continues to be.
When the Moody Blues' album "Days of Future Passed" debuted, I was 15. And while I was a big fan of many of the late-'60s rock bands, I was mesmerized (surprisingly, at that age) by the introspective music created by Justin Hayward and John Lodge. And now, Hayward's funny explanation for writing "Nights in White Satin": "I was really stoned, at the time." 'Interesting, thoughtful interview, ladies.
U two girls are Beautiful ! Excellent video. I have to tell you, Im a single Dad and have followed you about a year. But last week I turned my 20 year old daughter onto your u tube channel. She called back n said DAD !!! I love them ,Im addicted , been listening to all there music !!! thank you
He's right, you know.....you guys are that good, at creating that "magic" when you perform, it's intoxicating!
What a treat to be admired by Justin Hayward for your cover of his song!
One of the things I love about live music is when those "Magic Moments" occur. When everyone in the band becomes connected with the same Mojo. I wish I had recordings of some of the performances I have seen over the years when the music goes from being good to being Magic.
WOW, What a fantastic chat. The Moodies are one of my all time favourite bands. And now Rebecca and Megan, also one of my all time favourite bands, chatting with Justin,,,,,,,,,I am pleasantly floored. Can't wait for Kindred Spirits, these 2 young ladies never disappoint
Lucky ladies to talk to such a legend. I first heard the Moody Blues in the late 60’s as my brother had On the Threshold of a Dream. Such a brilliant album.
Oh just lovin' hearing his voice.
Wow. Now I know what riverside I want to live on. Oh my god I have loved this man forever. Yes I'll love you, and he'll always know who sang that to him and us, and why it will always be heard.
Ride my see saw..... Gear riff.. Fab solo... Very bluesy Mr Hayward..... This duo are the new blues and I LOVE 'EM..... X
you two are so intuned with what Justin was saying. plus love how you look at each other during the interview..,. appreciate your honesty and devotion to music...
Saw them live many a year ago in Seattle Washington.

Justin is such a gentleman! Thank you so much for sharing this lovely interview, girls! It's always great to hear the story behind songs we love. Wishing you two success! Hugs from Brazil ❤
Great interview, amazing! I would have been speechless talking to him. After all, I was named after Justin Hayward ;)
Great interview, with real musical questions and answers. Bless you two!
Great Interview ! and Justin Hayward with such Kind words !
Moody Blues The Story in your eyes was a favorite of mine, loved Gemini Dream and In your wildest dreams also.My mother (RIP) and my wife(RIP) were both Geminis ironically.
I knew he would love it!
It is sooooo lovely to see, how you both love music. Geordeous gals and georgeous interview. I love you!
Such an incredible story. So glad you got to speak to Justin.
Well done, ladies... and Justin, too!
What a Wonderful Snip-it in Time. I love that I found you Ladies when I jumped into the Rabbit Hole a couple of months back. You have kept me entertained ever since. You two must feel like you are glowing at night from all of the positive energy that you create and the energy that gets returned to you. My Guardian Angel has sent me your way, and what an amazing journey it has become.
Brought tears to my eyes...such a beautiful conversation. I have every major album the Moody Blues ever did...one if the very best of groups. Thank you so much...The 3 if you.
outstanding! ive been a mega Moodies fan since i was 10 years old (1968). my mom used to turn up the volume everytime this song came on the radio. you ladies are very lucky to have had the chance to speak with Justin. if your success is half as much as theirs, you will have made the big time. looking forward to watching and commenting on your version. Best of luck to you both
You ladies are now officially my heroes. I would teach myself to play the guitar, the dobro, the slide guitar, and the sitar to have a conversation with Justin Hayward!
What a grand interview. Justin looks like he was reliving every moment in talking about Nights. To me...Nights is a lovely song but it is also sad. Justin stated one time that in a way it is about a death...a death in a relationship which can cause you just as much pain a losing some dear. Justin's voice is so haunting in it. It sounds as if is going to cry singing that song because a girl had just broken up with him. Singing "Oh how I love you," speaks for itself. You can just imagine him walking and seeing couples in love and holding hands and there he is suffering inside and these people around him do not know the agony he is going through and they will never understand because his love is unimaginable. I was watching Casino the other day and you could hear Nights being played in the background. I have heard this song in our movies like Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp. I will always love that song and have so since 1969 when I was only 18. Once again...what a great interview.
Excellent interview Megan and Rebecca. 3 musical magicians. Thank you.
Great conversation with Justin Hayward! Love your cover of the song of this great song!
How awesome to get to talk to a legend like that!! Unfortunately opportunities like that a getting fewer and fewer!
How cool to share this conversation. Love you both.
"It's a moment in time...." Towards the end of the conversation, Justin Hayward says that and compares it to your performances. You do it because you know can create that magical moment but you do it just so you can create that moment and feeling, again. Thanks for the video.
WOW there are no words so cool 😎
Thanks for posting. Wow. A magic moment indeed.
Wow! Just wow. Listening to Justin Hayward talk about my absolute favorite song that grew up with. Just amazing! You two are amazing as well. I love your videos and your music.
Captivating. Simply captivating.
These interviews are amazing!!! You lady's are sooo talented and I love your passion for art!
I throughly enjoyed that... Their music was and is magical. I was 19 years old when the album came out and it's still on the shelf with the rest. of my collection.
WOW you two... first the plug from Elton John and now a beautiful conversation with Justin Hayward... Congrat's and just keep pushin' and goin' :)
Oh boy. I've shed a tear.
Thank you so very much for these special moments with my all-time favorite, Justin Hayward, and for your wonderful cover of NIWS!
Priceless.
The Moodies, because my mom loves them and a very, very close friend of mine from school loves The Moody Blues, this interview and specifically Nights, is just making me smile ear to ear. This is amazing! Thank you for this.
In the in almost 30 years I've been a fan, I feel like I'm only now really getting to the real story of Nights.
Big compliment
That ladies, was absolutely incredible. I ordered the new album yesterday and can't wait to get it!
Making stop on his tracks and saying "Wow That's great". You diserve this compliment. For me, in my memories, Nights in white satin was a bit syrupy song. But you made me change my mind. You made a fantastic interpretation
Thank you Megan and Rebecca for that wonderful interview with Justin Hayward and now onto listening to your version of "Nights in White Satin."
Great interview. Thank you both
Thank you so much for your Justin Hayward interview. In England the Moody Blues should be regarded as national treasures but don't seem to get the respect they deserve. So glad to see that as always you are flying the flag for truly great music. Well done girls.
Justin Hayward - what a charming human being
Very interesting - these two young ladies are lovely, as is Justin Hayward!
💜 You Two
Great interview, you guys are the best. Thanks
Rebecca and Megan, this was hands down the COOLEST interview I have ever seen!! YOU GIRLS ROCK!!! Larkin Poe FOREVER!!! ❤💙💚💛💜🎧🎤🎵🎸🎶🥁
If and when we all get back to normal... lol I mean seeing live music. Go see Justin . Still sounds Great and he does all the Classics. And plays with some great backup musicians. Always a good time.
Agreed. I’ve had the absolute pleasure to see Justin in small intimate settings and he is still incredible. And to M&R - there are several amazing covers of Nights representing everything from punk (the Dickies) to opera (Mario Frangoulis) but your cover opens up the emotions and timeless depth of Nights in an almost essential way - you two get it!
Such a classy professional dude ✌️👌
so ive listened and i like what i heard. sounds as great as the Nashville tributes to the Moodies, Moody Bluegrass tribute and the Moody Bluegrass 2 too much love. Thanks for sharing with all of us
And there’s the King of Rock And Roll, rocking on while the ladies chat up Justin Hayward. I’m sure he approves.
I'd love to give this 10 THUMBS UP!!!! Great interview!
And the magic he speaks of is the combination of your musical abilities and the amazing chemistry you share when performing together. Keep up the great work! ❤ 🙋♂️
I use that 1967 album, "Days Of Future Passed" first thing in the morning to help me ease into the day. Try it sometime.
I've seen The Moody Blues and Larkin Poe... Both great !
Wow! Wonderful
It's my all time favorite song, there will never be another in my opinion. You lucky ladies, I would love to talk with him.
Pretty awesome gals... My daughter gave me a ticket along with my sister to a Justin Haywood concert in the cutest and oldest theatre in Aberdeen, WA. It was very intimate. We all bought glasses of wine and had a great time. Justin was so good singing and just making us all feel like a big family.
Brilliant interview. So nice of Justin to do it. Have you heard him sing Forever Autumn? It’s so moving and emotional.
My favorite performance of you girls is the 1st time I heard you guesting with my Favorite Guitarist on the Keep The Blues Alive Tour with Joe Bonamassa on "Well,Well" and I believe the other song I heard you all do together was "Spoonful" ]:) I loved the collaboration of Joe and Megan on the solo.
Justin is such a class act too!
You are the best thing that has happened to music in such a long time. I jusrt love you guys! The connection you have is such a gift to you two and the rest of the world. Gene 71 YO with lots of guitars....
Lucky ladies!
Such an amazing video!! Funny how he knows that you two can create that magic moment he was taking about, anywhere you go. I believe you are, very much, on your way to being legends yourselves. Keep up the great work!
Birmingham where they started, carry on the legends music from the roots to fame of today, they still drive me to play their music forever. :)
