Rory was super annoying in this episode... Even if Jess really had gotten in a fight with Dean, what good would it do to ask about it in front of Emily?
Favorite line from the episode, and one of my favorites from the entire show: "you went to Rory's grandmother yesterday, she hit you?" That and "not the ladle, that's a brand new ladle. Take the baster!" It's really one of my favorite episodes, and in large part because of the interactions between Luke and Jess.
The town represents the childhood right down to the swan. It's a safe place for Rory because her mom keeps her safe, but Jess doesn't have that kind of safety. He gets attacked where she gets accepted.
True. However at the start, he didn't want to be there and acted like it. He stole the money to repair the town bridge, kicked one of Babbette's gnomes, created a public nuisance with his fake chalk outline in front of Doosey's. While Rory could be called out for not being on his side, his reputation doesn't speak well for him.
I love the talk that Luke and Jess had, Luke speaks from the heart and he was really a great guardian for Jess. Also Emily was so classy at the dinner, she was probably burning from the inside, thinking that Rory's life was gonna be ruined by Jess, but stayed calm for Rory.
I've learned so much from you As I'm listening to him talk, I'm doing the checklist in my head "he's explaining to her how he feels, he's letting her know that he's in a bad mood and he doesn't wanna talk about it"
Rory was so wrong this episode. She knows it hard for Jess to open up about anything and pushing him isn't going to help. I get why she went to Dean but she is with Jess now and needs to trust him, I wouldn't be ok with my partner going to their ex to check if I was lying. Don't care that they are friends, I'm your partner and if you can't trust me then we can't be together. Jess could've been nicer to Emily but I get why he was being like that. Also, I always found Rory and Jess very interesting. He kind of starts where Rory ends, and Rory kind of ends where he starts.

I wanted to scream at Rory this episode. The way she assumed Jess got in a fight with Dean, kept pushing, would NOT let it go till later, and wouldn't believe him but WOULD believe Dean... She truly angered me🙄🙄🙄
Dean once tried to break up a fight between Jess & another guy and Jess swung at him. Why wouldn't she believe Dean? Dean wasn't known for lying or being cagey like Jess was.
This is still the period when I don’t like Jess, but I do enjoy his progress. Even if I do wish that he’d later mentioned the swan story. Rory probably would have gotten a laugh out of it, and then told him the story of when a deer hit her.
When he took the book and tapes that Luke offered him, he used them. He realized that if he was going to be worthy of Rory, he needed to do the interior work. It was like when Spike left to get his soul back because he realized he wasn't worthy of Rory and he wanted to be; he wanted to grow up.
Ok now I'm curious does anyone honestly think Rory would have believed Jess if he had told her the first time she asked about his eye and he told her right then and there 'I got beaked by a swan' do you really think she would have believed him? I don't think so, anyone agree disagree?
I think if he had been open and honest about it from the start instead of coming in with an attitude, she would have believed him. But since she didn't know what was going on and he refused to talk about it, she assumed the worst. Still, she should have let it go during dinner and waited until later to push him about it, when he's had more time to cool off.
@queencleopatra007 I get your line of thinking I'll admit though while I could maybe see him owning up right away I can't see him not having a tude and no matter what I can't see Rory not asking Dean if they got into a fight later.
I think she would have believed him because his embarrassment would have been visible. He may be snarky, but when he's vulnerable, she likes him better for it. It helps them grow together.
Emily is so understanding, optimistic and patient with Rory and Jess, while still being an authoritative figure. I'm really proud of Mrs. Gilmore here (but I am typing this at the two minute mark so I'm anxious that this comment will age Poorly). I heard the words 'Veronica Mars' and immediately wanted to binge the whole series again. Guys, swans and geese are not to be trifled with, ever.
I’ve always loved the two of them, regardless of whether they were meant to end up together. Their relationship had so much depth and growth, not only in their connection but also in their personal development. They were real and authentic. I wish Rory’s character had been shaped more around this type of open communication, with an emphasis on changing behavior and being accountable.
Can we please take a moment to appreciate the fact that Scott Patterson was trying not to break laughing during the entire scene with Jess and the way he tries to hide it actually fits the scene perfectly xD
It is amazing how this scene shows two characters that have many bad moments on the show have their best moments. Emily is known for being rude and tactless and manipulative, but she is great here. She is not judging Jess or focusing on the black eye. She is not treating him like they treated Dean at first. She is flexible with Jess’s sarcasm which she does not handle well with Lorelai. And the fact she can already understand his bad mood due to the traffic jam is great. Who are you and what have you done with Emily Gilmore. And Jess did have his bad moments at first. That was the start if his gradual arc, but I appreciate how he is trying to set his bad mood aside to impress Emily. He is not overly rude, but Emily can see he is trying. Except for the raisins, he is being nice about the menu she is serving. Some can be picky and rude about what people serve. His anger only comes out when Rory is provoking him. Anyone will lose it when they keep nudging them and ignoring an explicit boundary. I am mad at Rory. Stop nudging. He will tell you when he is ready to tell you. Even Emily gets that since she is not pressing him about it.
I loved both Dean and Jess. Too bad Jess 's spin-off didn't work out. I would have loved to see him become the grounded, mature man he eventually does. A big hug from Romania! ❤
A couple of things: I always thought that the Rory/Jess relationship is a screen for the real “love” story of Luke and Jess. They both have a powerful connection with each other and make each other better. They are so great together because they need each other so badly. Second thought: this is early days of Rory’s slide into being a much more human character, who is entitled and pushy and really selfish. Not only pushing Jess at dinner, but also essentially accusing Dean of getting into a fight with him. (Foreshadowing! Foreshadowing!) This fight is all in her head and speaks to her own insecurity about Jess. (Foreshadowing).
I think it's stuff like this where Jess and Rory show such potential, and is why it's painful(but very realistic and honestly written) when it falls apart. Jess still has a lot of growing and learning to do, and it makes sense that at 18 he just couldn't help but fall back into that damaging learned habits. I like though that you can see in S4 just how badly he regrets it all(despite still hiding behind those defense mechanisms still, as you state). I guess we'll talk more about it when we get there, but I like the way Jess's S4 story ended. He was ready to own his mistakes, but he still needed to learn that won't always be enough. And I suppose he did learn that by the time he comes back in S6(if you liked how Jess handled Dean after he and Rory got together and his improved communication and self control, you're going to really respect him in a certain scene in S6 with Rory's Yale boyfriend, Logan).
Honestly, I wouldn't have told Rory about the swan- whether or not Jess would have also been thinking this, given his conversation with Luke about her family package, I don't know, but if Rory knows, Lorelai will know, Lane will know, then Sookie will know, and then EVERYONE will know.... so.... I'd have chickened out too haha. I am SO happy to see you breaking down Gilmore Girls; Jess as a broken kid stumbling his way through this series is one of my favourite character arcs of anything, it was always written feeling so relatable and realistic (to me) so watching this was a treat.
As good as the interaction with Luke and Jess is I think the way Luke reacts is why he can't bring himself to tell Rory the truth. The one person he told mocked him for it and didn't believe him.
I don’t think Rory was just trying to find out what happened alone, I also think that Rory was trying to control the narrative in front of her grandma because of the expectations of her grandparents. There were two things at play the supervision from Emily and proving that she’s on top of this and then assuming that dean and Jess got into a fight because of Jess’s behavior up until this point.
I think Jess not telling the truth is a defense mechanism. His parents, the two people who theoretically knew his truest form both abandoned him. Logically he knows Rory wouldn’t but he still has that emotional trauma induced fear that if he lets anyone see his true self they will leave him too.
We need to be honest, especially in regard to the nature of swans. They're symbols of beauty, but they're evil incarnate. If everyone accepted this, lying would be unnecessary and everyone would think Jess was cool and brave for surviving a swan attack.
I believe Rory/Jess is refered to by shippers as "literati" because of their shared love of literature. L/L shippers are called "javajunkies" I dunno for some reason the GG fandom never did the "combined couple name" thing.
Okay, but are we really going to act like that's not a fair assumption to make considering Jess HAS been getting in fights with Dean? I'm really not a fan of the whole Rory-blaming going on because people are refusing to see her side of it. Imagine this; your partner cheats on you, you forgive them. Then a few months later, your partner comes home late in a crappy mood, their clothes are rumpled and they refuse to tell you where they have been. Obviously you're going to assume the worst for a moment.
They were both in the wrong there's nothing Jess could have said that would have convinced Rory he didn't fight Dean only Dean could have convinced her and she shouldn't have poked him and he shouldn't have been a jerk at the dinner. I think you should do a whole video on Luke and Jess we have plenty of Rory and Lorelei and their mother daughter bonding I think we need some Luke and Jess uncle and nephew bonding.
I don't think he was a jerk at dinner, he was moody because he was late because traffick and got atacked by a bird! And then Rory IS super rude to him! I would have snaped too. Also I 100% agree we need videos of Jess and Luke, their dinamics are awsome! Luke was such a good parent to him, Jess turn out to be a good Guy mostly because of Luke.
Emily is so unusually nice here, she didn’t even pause when she saw his face for the first time which shocks me. She has such wonderful moments that make me adore her it’s a shame she has to be really awful other times. However Rory here is infuriating, when did she become incapable of social cues & take a hint that this can be discussed after the uncomfortable grandparent introduction🤦♀️🙄🙄
Rory does many things wrong when it comes to her relationships. She's not a great girlfriend (in my opinion). Some people think her bfs were bad but she was as well many times. Even if they're characters, I think it's great to have them do stuff like this because it makes them more human. What dislike is that the show makes it seem like Rory is an angel an never does anything wrong.
I think we think that (that she is an Angel) because we empathize with her but I agree she is a selfish entitled person (from the beginning) what makes her not a great friend or partner. I am not great either so I now 😂
@anainesgonzalez8868 from my perspective it's more that the show itself makes it seem like she's not doing anything wrong and that translates to the public watching. I'm not against her being like that because it makes her more believable or realistic? In a way, but having everyone enable her attitude is what gives me the ick
@ It gives me the ick as well. When I was younger I kind of hate her, I was jealous I think. Now as an adult I really love how real she is and I appreciate her good parts way more
You should do the episode where Lorelai teaches her coping mechanism for Emily, to Emily, so she can cope with Richard’s mom. She explains to avoid being hurt, you can instead find the inevitable unsolvable disapproval, funny. The same episode also has Jess getting some comeuppance to his relationship meddling.
They are called Team Literai. Those who ship Jess and Rory lol. It's the whole love of reading thing. 🤣 I like your take on this fight. I always thought Rory should back off at that dinner and bug him about it later. He most likely would have responded better. But I could also see why she thought that Jess fought with Dean. Historically, he would have.
Only thing I'm curious about is if he'd told Rory about the swan like he did with Luke, would she had actually believed him? 😘 Because even though it's.. What sincerely happened, it's just one of those scenarios that when you hear it for the first time, it comes across as quite far- fetched so it could've potentially led..... To Rory getting even more annoyed with him, thinking he made it all up as it's not a very typical everyday scenario said with respect, love and kindness 💗
"Emily's growth..." oh don't get your hopes up for that happening anytime soon. There's some good moments in 6/7 but S5 is when she veers into villain territory(by the standards of the show of course).
Sure, but I was just referring to the main series. He probably won't see that for awhile, and isn't as appealing overall as the main series. I like Emily's storyline there though.
Milo has a condition called facial paralysis. Im not sure if Sly had the same, but i do not think its genetics. However, they both have the same general coloring and can play a street wise guy. Being brought up in a cult, being a younger sibling, and observing what worked for my sibling and then coming up with the cover story. The story to save myself from needless punishment or having consequences that told me I wasnt good enough. This included healthy sexual behaviors, being curious about things I wasnt allowed to do, and having to inform on others for "their sins" and watching them go through a horrible time for lets say not grooming correctly. Thats when I developed the cover story/lie to protect myself from not being perfect to the cults expectations and not reaping the punishments my sibling got. It took me a long time to figure out why I always went to the cover story in my adult life, even on things that were not that important.
I've very recently started watching Gilmore Girls with my husband, and I already hate Jess and love Luke! Luke pushing Jess in the lake has been my favourite moment so far.
I still don’t Jess at this point. I do like him! Just not with Rory at this point. Also, it’s kinda a red flag that Rory thought her boyfriend would get in a fight like that
It's honestly so funny to me how Emily was at her best here in this episode with Jess (when in actuality, I feel like it's in her nature to get upset about something like this happening because Jess didn't give a proper first impression, so that would've totally stuck with her, so it's kind of ironic how she didn't question things for once. Also, I wonder how Richard would've reacted to Jess, because I don't think they've ever met before, maybe in passing? But still... I feel like he and Jess would've bonded over books too or something), and unfortunately, Lorelai wasn't there to witness it. It's like they deliberately and intentionally made her miss this... but then again, I get it lol Lorelai and Jess barely got along, but I still would've liked to see her reaction. As for the fight, it was honestly such a realistic one, which felt almost too real. I could see both sides of their argument, but I really wish they didn't make Rory jump into conclusions about his black eye because she's clearly happy and in love with Jess, so why bring up Dean again?? She was so impatient here, and she should've backed off when he told her to. As for Jess, he's always tried for Rory because of how much he loves her in return, so maybe he wouldn't have had to feel embarrassed about the black eye because Rory would have totally found a way around it to make him not feel so insecure or whatever if he had told her about it, and I feel like he should've stuck around for the dinner because relationships are about sacrifice, so yes, while it was Rory's idea for him to come here, even if he didn't want to, he still should've tried with Emily. But this was such a good moment in their relationship because despite everything, they still found a way to properly get over that fight and talk things out in the manner they both think works for the two of them. Also, this fight was like them almost bringing out the worst in each other because the things that they talked about? Oh wow... it was a lot of big stuff for people who are that young in age. No teenaged couple should have to get into such a horrible fight about something that started off so trivial, but eventually led to this huge thing, where they end up bringing up their backgrounds and whatnot, but I feel like that's the point, and I honestly loved that fight regardless, because it added more depth and complexity to the nature of their relationship, and it makes a lot of sense given how Rory and Jess's biggest asset is their intellectual conversations, which fits perfectly well. Lastly, I agree with everything you said in this video. It's the exact way I felt about this part. Love your content ❤❤ (Also, since you were wondering, Rory and Jess's ship name is "Literati" because they're two people who love literature, so us fans have coined the term "Literati" from the actual dictionary for them because it fits them perfectly well 🥰 but there are other people out there who call them "Jory" but "Literati" is the better option)
I was always bugged at Luke's reaction to jess getting attacked. It made for some funny dialogue, but, instead, if he'd said, "Ouch, that would have hurt, I'm sorry!" Or "you dont need to be embarrassed about that. Swans are big birds and can be really mean. " Then Jess might not have been so ashamed and maybe would have told the truth to Rory. I dont know, that's not really Luke's character, but clearly, the child in front of you has their guard up because he's embarrassed, hurt, and proud and worried about people making fun of him. How about, instead of making him feel worse about it by confirming that fear, you let him know you care, and it's ok, and maybe you'll laugh about it later? Obviously, that's not how their relationship works, but I've been bugged by this since I first watched it when it came out.
Jesse’s story about being hit in the face with a football was such an obvious lie! Rorry should have seen through it. Because Jess doesn’t have any buddies!🤣
Even though I agree that Rory handled this situation terribly and should have apologized sooner, I can't really blame her for thinking he got into a fight with Dean considering his history. He spent a majority of season 2 bullying Dean and even tried to hit Dean once before. And right before the dinner he straight up told Rory he wanted to punch Dean, so when he shows up with a black eye and is acting all shady, I can see why she made that assumption. Not cool but understandable given Jess's past behavior.
Yes, Lorelai is very supportiv but i think there is the start with the whole Rory downfall. Rory was a terrible partner and in response everyone cuddles her. Really not one person is giving Rory a reality check.
That's interesting that you believe the swan story behind the black eye cause I've always thought that neither story is true. Once he said the football story I immediately thought "okay so we still don't know what really happened." Just shows how open to interpretation art can be!
me: team swan first wanted to leave the back eye without explanation the lies...this dude... I mean, of course Emily is ultra graceful. In those circles the mess will be after the guests leave, not in front of them. Meanwhile it's happening everything will be nice and bright. "did she punch you?" hahahaahah Luke...Emily would never but also it's Emily, so hahahahaahha
I think you miss the reason, out of sheer spite of Jess, as much as you're starting to appreciate him. He doesn't want the whole town of Star's Hollow to know. He has so many trust issues, it seemed obvious ever since (and also from my own personal experience). Jess is also not the talkative type, and having to tell the story every time to whoever asked about it, or to be continually teased like Luke was doing would just set him off.
P.S. filling those shelves behind with something would look better on camera for your audience - it's a bit strange to see some of them empty (not visually appealing)
Possible spoilers cause I can't remember what order things happen in...I could be wrong... Did you finish the whole episode? Maybe it's the next one? I thought they did fight... Going to rewatch that episode again but I thought all of it was lies and Dean lied too.
It was a swan that, in Jess’ words, “beaked” him. They do fight but it happens in a future episode and Rory witnesses the fight. So she wouldn’t have doubted Jess.
Mm interesting I don't think Rory was in the wrong. Jess knew her grandparents had high standards, and that a black eye would look really bad. He could've quickly explained a swan attacked him and it would've been fine. It was his choice to hold that information back, and it was his choice to continue to lie to her about what happened even after the fact. He was also late and rude at the dinner. In my opinion, Rory had every right to be mad and handled it as calmly as possible. Maybe it's my female mind, but I think just dropping the issue and letting it fester under the surface is not a good way to go
She could have waited a few hours to not discuss it when she was a guest in someone else's home. I also have a "female mind" but I think Rory was super pushy and rude to not only Jess but also to her grandmother. She needed to get over herself and have that conversation at a more appropriate time.
@353Chaos353 I suppose. I'm just saying Jess and Rory had a moment alone at the door where he could've said "hey it wasn't a fight with dean, it was a swan I promise" and problem solved. If Rory didn't believe him after that and kept pressing, then it would be her fault. And sorry by female brain I just meant men tend to want more space and silence to deal with issues, and women tend to want to talk it out (not always just generalizations)
@@353Chaos353and jess needed to get over himself and explain. it’s not like something bad in his family life happened. he got attacked by a bird!! and he’s throwing jabs at her grandma. tory had every right to know what’s going on
@@353Chaos353 weird my comment was deleted and I'm too lazy to write it all again lol. Basically in my view, they had a moment at the door when emily wasn't there where Jess could've quickly said "it wasn't a fight with dean, it was a swan". And they also had a moment alone at the table. If Rory kept being pushy after that, then yeah she would be at fault. And I think Jess is much more of a guest at someones home and should've been on his best behavior. This is rorys close family home so while unpleasant, I don't think it's completely out of line to have that discussion at emilys. Just my opinion though
How did Rory buy that "throwing a football" story? Jess doesn't have "buddies" in Stars Hollow lol. Don't see why he couldn't tell her the truth, despite how silly it sounds. Male pride, I guess?
I mean, yeah - that is what it seems like. I was just a little amused they are both pretending he actually has friends in Stars Hallow. In fairness, I don't think Jess disliked Lane, and he did seem to enjoy his conversation with Paris so clearly so maybe there was one or two people at SH he didn't mind, but I doubt he put much effort into really befriending anyone there. Not a criticism by the way, just an observation.
He is VERY traumatize. I work in high school. Kids from neglecting parents lie about everything all the time. It is a defense mechanism they can’t let it go.
i think jess was incredibly rude. he could put an a nice attitude for her grandma. it was a freaking bird attack. get over it!!! this is important to your girlfriend. he keeps constantly throwing it in her face how much he didn’t wanna come. and how much she’s forcing him. and it’s not like jess hasn’t tried fighting dean before. jess is choosing his pride over communicating with his girlfriend.
@ oh please it was a bird attack i understand not wanting to talk about it but if your gonna come then be nice. if not he could’ve reschedule. you don’t take jabs at her grandma the whole night. my dad left and my mom wasn’t ever around either. i lived by myself with my 80 year old uncle since like 16 but i’m not a complete asshole 😭
Possible spoilers cause I can't remember what order things happen in...I could be wrong... Did you finish the whole episode? Maybe it's the next one? I thought they did fight... Going to rewatch that episode again but I thought all of it was lies and Dean lied too.
Rory told her mom that Jess got into a fight with Dean. She had no proof, only a suspicion. That's not cool...
well when you act a certain way around people, they assume based on that behavior, like Jess himself said he would have doubted too
Her whole retelling of the story is totally off. She takes absolutely no responsibility for pushing him.
Yep & only growing Lorelei’s bad perception of him, that really upset me
Rory was super annoying in this episode... Even if Jess really had gotten in a fight with Dean, what good would it do to ask about it in front of Emily?
Exactly
I love how Luke's expression changes: "her mother 🙂 comes with this girl... her grandmother 😬 comes with this girl..."
I honestly think if Rory had dropped it, they would've had a nice evening, even Jess, in spite of himself.
Favorite line from the episode, and one of my favorites from the entire show: "you went to Rory's grandmother yesterday, she hit you?" That and "not the ladle, that's a brand new ladle. It’s awesome how Jess develops, I started really to like him, after he wrote the book
That’s around the point where I started liking him too. He matured into a really grounded person offscreen
Plus: when he listens Rory sayin "I love logan" in the lounch.
When he took the book and tapes that Luke offered him, he used them. He realized that if he was going to be worthy of Rory, he needed to do the interior work. It was like when Spike left to get his soul back because he realized he wasn't worthy of Rory and he wanted to be; he wanted to grow up.

Yes, the advice of when you date someone, you date their entire family is spot on the money
Yes
How is it only now that I notice that Rory really acts like Emily sometimes? 🤔
This show keeps giving. It's so rewatchable because of the devotion to detail in every aspect of it.
The 3 of them are really similar in plenty of ways.
My favorite character of the show is Luke, I love SO much how he is a father to Jess. Best moments of television ever
I am so proud of him. He is still so fragile here but he comes around! It is beautiful to watch (even if it happens off screen)
It's taking Jono way less time to come around to Jess than it took me!
Love this. Would watch it all day.
The scene where Jess tells Luke he got "beaked" is one of my all time favorite TV show scenes!
Swans really are evil.
Mine too!
Yes, and I personally refer to Christopher/Lorelai as toxic wasteland
@@pmbramucci1056😂
I feel bad for Jess. I would be devastated if my partner assumed the absolute worst about me...
Can we use the word "gregarious" more in our daily conversations? I feel like that needs to be a thing. Excellent word choice!
I really did not like Rory in this episode. She’s very Lorelai here when Lorelai assumes.
Always loved the symbolism of him being hit by a swan and Rory being hit by a deer.
Rory/Jess = Literati in fanfiction. Luke/Lorelai = JavaJunkie
They are called Team Literai. Those who ship Jess and Rory lol. It's the whole love of reading thing. 🤣
I like your take on this fight. I always thought Rory should back off at that dinner and bug him about it later. He most likely would have responded better. But I could also see why she thought that Jess fought with Dean. Historically, he would have.
You said Dean was young.... I think you meant Jess😂
I’m so interested to see your reaction to the episode “Keg! Max!”
In Year in the Life, she does some serious growing.
Rory similar to her mother in her interaction with Jess
I wonder if Luke hadn’t laughed when Jess told the truth about the swan if Jess would have told Rory?
I've very recently started watching Gilmore Girls with my husband, and I already hate Jess and love Luke! Luke pushing Jess in the lake has been my favourite moment so far.
I still don’t Jess at this point. I do like him! Just not with Rory at this point.
Also, it’s kinda a red flag that Rory thought her boyfriend would get in a fight like that
She has good reasons. He's been a minor thief and a major problem to Luke and other towns people. He has to earn her trust.
Would love if Good omens would get therapised
Swans have an unfairly dainty rep due to that ballet. Team Literati cuz they both read.
I have never thought of that that way! I always thought he lied to both luke an rory because he told them two different things!
Lol you're right! If I was Rory I would've been like, "what buddy? Can I meet them?" 😂
Excellent topic and discussion, but PLEASE fix the sound. The echo makes it more difficult to follow. Thanks.
13:10 no matter how often you see it, it’s always funny
Emily would never have tried this hard for Lorelai.
You should react to/therapize JJ Maybank from Outer Banks - he's got quite the journey!
Yes, Lorelai is very supportiv but i think there is the start with the whole Rory downfall. Rory was a terrible partner and in response everyone cuddles her. Really not one person is giving Rory a reality check.
I agree but at the same time it is easy for me to forget Lorelai. She did SO good giving her story. She did the best she could
That's interesting that you believe the swan story behind the black eye cause I've always thought that neither story is true. Once he said the football story I immediately thought "okay so we still don't know what really happened." Just shows how open to interpretation art can be!
He went to the lake to Hit the swan, so I am pretty sure that story IS true.
Jono: This is where I really start to like Jess
Me: Not for long
😢
me: team swan
first wanted to leave the back eye without explanation the lies...this dude...
I mean, of course Emily is ultra graceful. In those circles the mess will be after the guests leave, not in front of them. Meanwhile it's happening everything will be nice and bright.
"did she punch you?" hahahaahah Luke...Emily would never but also it's Emily, so hahahahaahha
how did you know i just watched this episode?
Haha, love the timing! Hope you enjoyed! What was your favorite part of the episode? 💜
Jono, I LOVE your content but that room does NOT have good acoustics.
Their ship name is “Literati” but I have no idea why.
it’s because they both love to read
And because they both write; her journalism and him fiction.
I hate their relationship and lowkey Jess, but this episode was good
Agreed!
I never liked Jess (and I watched GG a million times!) and none can change my mind 😅
I don't like him either. He is such an @ss. He miss treats Rory and everyone
I am so sorry. He is one of my favorite characters ever, in any show
P.S. filling those shelves behind with something would look better on camera for your audience - it's a bit strange to see some of them empty (not visually appealing)
The room also echos with how empty it is 😢
Possible spoilers cause I can't remember what order things happen in...I could be wrong...
And sorry by female brain I just meant men tend to want more space and silence to deal with issues, and women tend to want to talk it out (not always just generalizations)
yes!!! or said anything! i dropped a box on me working at walmart but him holding it back any kind of answer was so suspicious!!
She felt too guilty about jumping to conclusions to analyze the somewhat plausible explanation.
When life is SO hard (he was abandoned by his parents, almost as hard as it gets) every little thing is big. It is VERY hard to “get over it”
@ oh please it was a bird attack i understand not wanting to talk about it but if your gonna come then be nice. if not he could’ve reschedule. you don’t take jabs at her grandma the whole night. my dad left and my mom wasn’t ever around either. i lived by myself with my 80 year old uncle since like 16 but i’m not a complete asshole 😭
@@lilly50821 he is never nice
