The part you pull out at 3:30 is for over pressure. In case the sensor fails the pump might not stop. This prevents hoses and the manchet from blowing up too much and eventually rip apart.
I have a similar "solenoid" (?) in the water tank of a robot cleaner, could it be an air pump, that creates a "cushion" of air to expel the water through the nozzles ? where does it draw air from it doesn't seem to have any holes ?
@@gf88888 You don't see it in the video, these pumps have two tubes one at the top and one at the side. The top tube is the outlet and the side is the inlet. Depending on the type you buy the inlet is a tube or flat. The benefit of a flat model is that you can wrap the pump into a soft air passing material which creates a dust filter at the same time while holding the pump in place.
At the end, ur still trying to squeeze the cuff as it trying to inflate. Also, it can sense pulse in ur hands when ur trying to squeeze the cuff when it’s inflating.
If you think the solenoid is the problem, why didn't you remove it and check it? I've never seen anyone tear something apart before with the batteries still in it.
I buy this six month back but It’s always showing low battery , after that I replaced with new 4 batteries but still it’s showing low battery only , and automatically off again and again . I fed up with this product Can you help me to solve this Why this is showing low battery
If the machine doesn't compress air(press power and it compresses or sucks air to tighten arm)despite the lcd working fine what could be wrong as the cuff and pipe are okay?Internal error with pump like slit stopper perhaps? What is the slit stopper?
Today morning I found my OMRON BP742N is dead. It doesn't turn on. Nothing shows on display and not working. I tried with new batteries and using adapter. I didn't even use it more than 10 - 15 times. Are they really junk or what do you think ? By the way this video is very informative. Thanks for sharing !!
Thanks Gareth, we binned it in the end, and purchased a new one, a " choiceMMed model BP11" not sure what you may think of this one??? Kind Regards Dave.
Where does it get the air from since it's all in a shut box? And where does the air go after? How is the information transmitted from your arm the to the monitor? I sound silly, but I'm curious.
Hi.. my device HEM-7120, on LCD displayed error E5 when device releasing the pressure. Instead cuff was applied properly at arm. It is indicated on display (OK). Any suggestion to solve this problem?
in pressure sensor there is "KYW9" and in my omron pressure sensor (within HEM-7111 too) is "CMQ9". Is this means something or just a fabrication code?
Hiya, on ours which is now about four years old and hardly ever used! We tried it today and we get an ERROR on the SYS any ideas?? We've hardly used it! And thanks for the Video, Dave, Suffolk.
Does anybody know how the readings in the cuff, that is when the blood stops flowing and starting again, is communicated to the monitor? The pressure at these points is obviously measured directly at the monitor which has the pump.
dear sir.... my omron b.p. machine is not able to inflate the puff... kindly help in its repairing... what possibilities are there managing which can help me in repairing it???? kindly reply soon

Hi, Usually (again, I have not checked the actual wire) a DC plug with 3 wires: - Positive (as you said brown), - Negative (you found as grey), - "connect sense" (yellow according to your findings). The meaning of connect sense means: If you have batteries AND power plug, device disconnects the battery pack and use external power source. This "sense" is usually very simple switch (which open the battery pack circuit mechanically).
Vincent Benitez it will cost u more to fix it ! it doesnt worth it at all. preety sure u cand just buy one..there are not so expensive 20-30 €at most 😉
Thanks for the video even though it was posted some time ago. My OMRON BP762 monitor sudden stopped holding pressure. A cursory check showed the cuff was o.k. so the problem seems to be coming from the inside. I was about to take the thing apart in case it could be fixed. Your video however shows that this might be futile exercise. It's a shame since the unit is still in pristine condition.
He could figure it out, he's obviously not retarded. It does seem a little weird that he's kinda treating it like he can't know things and its magic. Odd video. He didn't even fix the thing!
Cool I love the internet, no matter what question normally someone has answered it thankyou
Yes!

Shouldn't the 'useless bit' the deflating valve? The cuff has to deflate slowly to capture a reading.
still deflates without it, it's a saftey valve (learned this after filming and more reasearch)
The "useless bit" is actually an over pressure release valve, in case it keeps on pumping without stopping.
Thanks, I had realised this my self shortly after
@@ElectronicStuff Is that over pressure release valve always open though?
I'm guessing the "useless bit" is and over inflation safety valve. Just a guess.

Good day friend, how can I repair my ALP K2 digital BP monitor that seems to be low on pressure and cannot complete BP monitoring results.

It doesn't open THAT easily the first time. This one probably has been opened many times before the video.

what c1 and + used for?
What if the number that appears on the LCD is an error? can't read clearly what number?
great job bro
Does this device needs to be calibrated,?
nothing is poinless Omron did not put the over pressure valve in line for nothing, think about it?

The pressure sensor itself handles that I believe, with heach heartbeat the pressure changes.
any solution for a burned omron lcd?

Omron bp monitor 7113 using by battery only. How I can fix a jack for use by adapter also?
I have an Omron BP-785 that works great. I've used it many times.
I think the second valve is safety valve.
it is, I realised this after filming
Is Hybetez Remedy helpful to treat your high blood pressure issue naturally ? I've read many good stuff about this high blood pressure remedy.
i have sanitas sbm 52 with first transistor on vdd cracked and i need part number off this transistor can you help me please

I think that white valve you removed, is a pressure valve, incase it over inflates.
Shaun Brown I think you are correct there
The white valve is a solenoid air valve, to release pressure fastly.

the dc power input is with three wires, yellow, brown and grey. does it correspond to brown +6v and grey ground, what about the yellow?

Could be a bad connection on the ribbon cable connecting the screen, but they are attached using a hot bar method which are very hard to repair
