thats a good idea. Since these are old devices, they dont have such inbuilt feature. Perhaps we can hook this to some IOT GW, and collect more data. I feel we have to direct hack its LCD display to fetch data
Hello, I had a couple of ideas in correlation with the ongoing trend in BP monitors. I was wondering if we could build a smarter BP monitor that could be mass manufactured here in India later on. Can you help me in doing it?
Thanks for such great video. Ref your video, 1. I got a Paramount BP Machine which runs with 4x1.5 v AA batteries and has no adopter point. To avoid the battery cost how it can be modified with an adopter point ? Is it possible if I use the + and - point of battery chamber and connect to the adopter 's + and - point? Because I don't want to take a risk of opening the machine as its an integral part of mine. 2. Further which adopter 5v /500ma or 6v/1A will work better for me? 3. Will the normal Android mobile charger work here? Please answer.
you need a voltage source which is equal to 6V and connect it to the battery connector cables. If you don't know about soldering, go to your local repair shop and tell them about it ans they should solve your problem.
Hi Man, I have an Omron Bp machine. Accidentally I left my battery in it for long and that caused some sort of liquid secretion inside of the machine. Now it does not turn on. Can you please tell me is there any way to fix or where to look into?
O god, I see. I think its just corrosion near terminals or inside near terminals (where it is soldered on the board). Perhaps open it, clean it cleanly with some distilled water near terminals, and see if there is connectivity is missing, perhaps you can bridge it via some fresh solder
@@TheLinuxChannel Thanks mate for your quick reply. I measured the voltage at the capacitor terminal. It was 5.0V. I used a 2A 5v charger. I don't have their weird port charger. But anyway. I will do what you have suggested. Subbed your channel.
I don't have their weird port charger: True its just weird. If you open the power input jack, you find some weird thing, something needs to be shorted then it works or something. Since I did many years back I forgot. But you can bypass, or just solder near battery terminals and replace their with yours or something. But make sure you got a good PSU matching the current needs. Since it runs that pump motor. Perhaps a Raspberry Pi PSU can be repurposed than a generic smartphone/phone charger
@@TheLinuxChannel I will. I think they have some sort of sensing system through that barrel Jack. Needs to bypass. I also saw they have some serial port I think. Not sure. It would be amazing if we can reverse engineered it and attach with RB pi or Arduino. That would be a cool project.
I remember now. You know you can solder battery +, -ve and connect 5 volts. But it will not work. It expects this barrel connecter to be shorted. I think they did this to protect power from both sources. I.e when battery there, if you connect to their proprietary 5volts PSU, it will disable battery (or something). Yes that would be cool as a data collection unit and make it somewhat a smart device. I.e once the entire test cycle is complete and results are displayed, it can then transmit to Pi or Arduino via some bus
Take care of yourself bro. You got high blood pressure. Anyway, my Omron blood pressure monitor not working with Battery. When I connect it with an external power supply the Monitor started automatically and showing random numbers. Is it the problem with the main circuit? How to test it, bro? Can you make e video on this. Thanks
Thanks a lot. Sure. Check the voltage level. If something is exceeding the parameters. For me although it needs 6volts, I am using a Xioami Router 5Volt router Power Adaptor. And it perfectly works fine.
Hi, I am not sure it has any reset button. I hope it should reset once you power-off and on. I do get sometimes issue that it struggle to read values, so I ignore that test. Press that start button once again for a fresh test. Before that check if the arm strap is secure. Since if there is error it can be due to not properly putting that strap and connecting the tube. Some air leak, etc.

I wonder do you have any information about what does that mean Omron Er 51 error?

I JUST TURNED MY WIFI OFF ON MY PHONE AND GOT A GOOD READING .
Can you tell if there is i2c line with eeprom in this? So that i can connect it with arduino
Great post - by the way have you looked at the possibility of connecting with these devices using bluetooth but avoid the Omron app?

Hi. Did you manage to interface to arduino or eap8266.
sorry not yet Puneit. I was middle of some other stuff. So never revisited so far.
Looking forward to it. 👍
Hey; do you want to join Home Automation India Telegram group?
Which kind of pressure sensor have been used
what I noticed is a sensor chip with a tiny hole in the middle, didnt paid attention of its specs
Great video. Wish you great health.
Thanks a lot 🌞💗
Hey ..great job...greetings from Barcelona Venezuela..
Hi nice to meet you Jose 🤗

Sir my blood pressure monitor is not taking the air pressure so how can I repair that please help me
I think the valve may not be working. If there is no sound, then maybe pump ia not working.
I got error "Er 23". What does it mean?
mm check this error code: www.myomron.com/index.php?action=kb&article=997
I am very interested in this kind of R and D
Cool. I thought of exploring few options, but didnt found time there after.

welcome 💗
I need the link for your video that you mentioned pushing the measurements to the micro controller

true. I have but not chronic. But by both parents have. So perhaps in future, it can get chronic for me too :(
