If you use an old fashioned mechanical shutter release cable that screws into the shutter button like the one that JJC makes, that solves the issue. It’s much more pleasurable to use too. More connection to the camera.
Great video, and I echo your comments. I have used this combo for a few months and find it improves the handling and I quickly got use to the constraints on the floppy screen. I had used the self timer and not the remote release, so thank you for pointing that out.
Excellent review! I like mine even tho there are some drawbacks. They're only minor for me and I agree with the other comments, you can improve the experience when using a mechanical remote.

Thanks for the tip! Was waiting for someone to suggest that, haha. Thank you for watching 🙏😀
@@themagicallandscape you’re welcome on both counts 👍🏻👍🏻
@@themagicallandscape I was about to suggest that :)
Thanks for your work on this. I dont think the slight limitation of the flipscreen is that bad.

Thanks for watching and enjoy your XT4!
I wish they would make the L-Bracket with the black handle for the XT-3 :(

Thanks for review, I'll buy the wooden one instead.
Why didn't you just switch to the wooden version if it has that many more functionality?
I might...
@@themagicallandscape Function over style.
Is this compatible with peak design tripod?
I don't believe so.
