My grandparents saw the Beatles on 22nd October 1964 in Leeds and now I have those tickets!

“THE WINGED BEATLE”
it’s one of the best documentary footage I’ve ever seen x
Lucky you!! ☺️
This type of footage makes one fully realize this happened 60 years ago... everything looks kind of ancient, except for THEM!! they were SO incredibly ahead of their times 😮
The only widescreen colour footage of the Beatles in existence and this was before they broke America, they were at the absolute pinnacle of fame in Britain and most of Europe at the time this was filmed
Not entirly true, might be some fans that shot on windscreen color? I could be wrong, but I have a gut feeling I am not... as I write this, I remeber the 1964 Paris color footage, its in widescreen, shot by a fellow musician, check it out!
@@CartersRemasters fans would not have had a camera with a wide lens. Widescreen films were normally shot on wide film which means a huge camera
@@CartersRemastersWidescreen was not available to the public back then. The Paris footage is cropped to 16:9 but the original has to be 4:3 because 8mm cameras filmed in that aspect ratio
I worked here in on the 2 shows with the Beatles one in the afternoon and the evening. It was mental. It was amazing I loved it. There was a other show on November 12th it was my 17th birthday. Loads of stars long John Baldwin cliff Richard diana Ross loads more. Crazy people crazy times. 😘 🎤🎸🎶🎶
Precious footage. Thank god someone filmed this. ❤

My Grandma And I Are There Biggest Fans There My Idols. 🥁🎤🎵🎸🎶🎼
@noahherrera, "their" biggest fans. "They're" my idols.
0:41-0:44 the full treatment
"The full treatment" is a funny euphemism for "being groped", haha.
Missed all this being transported to Australia in 1956 however saw the stones
In 1973 at Perth West aussie!
Am I the only one seeing something like this?
I wonder if the Paul that took the group photos with the Panda toy is the same Paul who sang on the stage.
Screaming girls all over the place shows the unstoppable power of Beatlemania!!
Love the cop @ 5:38 boppin' along
Does anyone know what song is playing from 00:19 - 01:36? It's the guitar instrumental tune. Sounds kind of like The Shadows. Thanks to anyone who can help.
The Pathe logo in upper right corner reminds me of cornflakes. Good Morning, Good Morning.
I hope the British Pathe' curator can help me: What is the source of the library music at the very beginning of the piece, and then the second piece of music that begins at 00:18 - it SOUND like The Shadows' "The Savage" - but it is not. Is it a Bruton piece? Help! Thanks in advance!
Sounds like it could be The Tornados? But in truth it could also be any bunch of session musicians of the time churning out backing music for Pathe
@seansvoice, the first piece of music is Dine and Dance by British composer John Scott. The second one is a cover version of The Savage, but I don't know who played it.
Brian Epstein get them into matching suits and stepping back and taking a bow at the end of each performance. Their show was polished and raw at the same time! Love them!
@user-to8hb7tt9r, these young men's fathers taught them to be gentlemen, have respect, manners and always be polite. They told about that in different interviews.
one of the reason they stop performing live shows is that they can't hear each other on stage, SOOO CRAZY ALL THE GIRL SREAMIING!!
+Ryo Watanabe Yeah, was going to say I'm not even surprised they stopped. We're just about hearing it because of the mikes. The boys didn't have in ear pieces like they do these days; They must have just been playing and singing deaf.
Well, they played in Japan in 1966 to no screaming & realised how they had 'dropped' as musicians live, under rehearsed. Maybe that & the tech. at the time (nothing performed from Revolver) & the 'slog' of touring worldwide just wore them down.
It was a bs reason in the long run though. Because in just a couple years PA systems and amps improved dramatically to properly support an arena/stadium show. By that time Paul(and maybe Ringo) were into it but not John and George.
Lol I have this as an Super 8 analog Film.^^
And to think Capitol Records, resisted releasing "I Want To Hold Your Hand"!!
Does anyone recognise the Shadows instrumental?
Is there a video of this without the British Pathe watermark?
6:27 ok bro
why does this sound good like the beatles?
i don't even get it
That's actually 6:42 and it's called Dine and Dance by John Scott and his band.
@@C.O.G. bro i'm not talking about the songs
i'm talking about how good the pathe news opening sounds
@@WindowsGG , I'm not a "bro".
@@C.O.G. oh well ok...i didn't even look at your profile
but still that pathe news opening sound so good
@@WindowsGG , no harm done. It didn't give me a complex or anything. An honest mistake. Take care.
20 years later, they may have played at the Hacienda. lol
I wonder if Paul is watching this right now
I swear to God at 1:47 - 1:49, That is Cilla Black coming through the door. Slow it down and you’ll see her. Am I right?
Paul McCartney baixo canhoto e voz
John lennon guitarra e voz solo
George harrison guitarra e voz
Ringo starr bateria e voz

I wonder what these women's children think when they see them lol
Te quedaste corto a esta altura son los nietos
