Amen to that, sista-friend. Pastel mat is REALLY hard to blend. I've recently tried LuxArchival paper and wow, so different from Uart. I think it is my new favorite. Love your video and rhyming too!
Oh yes, I love Lux archivel! It actually works great with these Schminke pastels. And I guess sometimes I just have to let my inner poet out, ha ha Ha.
Oh, and so far I don’t need surgery. I’ve been told I’m very close though. 😩😒
@@monetcafe I have that same Schminke set you have too. The Luxarchival paper is 400 grit but to me it seems to take way more layers of pastel than the 400 Uart paper. I had a HARD time getting the Pastelmat to blend. I think it is for more advanced artists who do not have to make as many changes or corrections.
@@monetcafe Sorry to hear that. My husband tripped over a tree root one time while walking and fell on his right shoulder. He tore his rotator cuff right in half, a full-thickness tear. It was so painful he thought he broke his arm/shoulder. He had to have surgery for it and he recovered well from it after PT. Praying for a miracle healing for your arm. xoxo

Renee, part of my rotator cuff injury is probably just getting old, lol. But I have an interesting past that most don’t know about… I am a black belt and a former Karate School owner. I used To do a lot of karate competitions and actually some board breaking. I don’t think that was very good for my rotator cuff ha ha.
@@monetcafe Wow, I am impressed! You go girl! But yeah, the board breaking probably not so good for you. Also people who jog are regretting it as they get older because it is so bad on their knees and spine. Why did you quit the karate school ownership? Did you need more time to paint? lol I can understand that.
Having had shoulder surgery, I don't recommend it. My husband let his heal naturally and it took almost a decade but completely healed. Mine has gotten arthritis that is almost unbearable (my doctor says this is common for those who have the surgery). Just my experience but take care!
