You have to suspend it in an Antique Market Wooden Box, attach a large microphone speaker unit behind it then cut a big round hole in front of the suspended Cymbal. But that's only half of the entire Thing... you have to find another old box that is full of fascinating wires and plugs and knobs and bits that click this way and that way plus a few push buttons and it all has to connect with the Antique Wooden Box holding that suspended Shiney Cymbal electronically... and actually work. ❤
@@MantasticHams ok, I see. You have to attach transponders to it which vibrate it. Man, those cheap, dark sounding cymbals from some old drum set would prob work. If they sustained enough. I wonder what it would cost to build one. Prob $200? $300? How much is the one shown here, i wonder? Web search is my friend. :)
So fun, the ondes lives again! I saw all the instruments in the background which made me curious and now I see you have a showroom in LA! I'll definitely come visit next time I'm in socal. Would you mind if I bring my instrument Wiggler to show to the folks working at the store and get their input on it?
Even though I enjoy the sound, it, stiring up my mind to conjure images of great vast, and massive machinery in the bowels of an ancient alien structure, I can't help but think of a dog howling as it depresses keys on a piano.
What a fantastic looking and sounding device!
that's pretty darn cool. Gives everything this ringy metallicness which seems obvious.... it's a ringy metallic thing hanging there. hehe
I'm not sold on it until you plug in a Casio VL-1 and play the demo
Beautiful.
Perfect 10.31.23 OST!
So... I can buy a drum cymbal, hang it right in front of a speaker, mic it and .... instant horror soundtrack!!!
Thats not what you're hearing here, the cymbal IS the speaker, m8!

They are super chill and let me hook up a pedal to a synth they were selling before I bought it.

Yo what?!?! There's a modular store like right near me?!?! Say less?
sounds like when you put a convolution reverb's space size setting to 0

I guess you can't afford it if you have to ask for the price.
