I've found it MMBExplorer very useful, and its creators have done a great job. One thing has changed since making this video; a new version of MMFS has been released (MMFSv2) which allows for .SSD files to be loaded directly from a FAT32-formatted SD card, thus rendering BEEB.MMC somewhat obsolete. MMBExplorer is still useful for working with .SSD disk images on a Windows or Mac machine, so I can see myself getting plenty of use out of it even once I start upgrading my Beebs to MMFSv2 some time in the future. Thanks for watching.
EVening. Is there a chance you can do a step by step video on all of this? I don't understand how do extract or do any of the steps needed to install MMB installer. I am using Mac OSX. Thank you :)
I'll be honest: I have very little knowledge on how MacOS works, so I can't help you there. Try searching for the MMBExplorer thread on the Stardot forum (stardot.org.uk). HTH
EDIT: Since making this video, a new version of MMFS has been released (MMFSv2). If your Beeb is equipped with MMFSv2, you can copy .SSD files directly onto a FAT32-formatted SD card, thus eliminating the need to use a BEEB.MMC file. That being said, MMBExplorer is still useful for working with .SSD files on a PC or Mac i.e. creating, adding to and deleting from individual .SSD disk image files. Google "mmbexplorer github" and go to the first link that points to GitHub. Download MMBExplorer for either Mac or PC. If you have a PC, then all you need to do is unzip into a directory of your choice. I'm not sure how to install on a Mac, but there's a thread about MMCExplorer on Stardot that may be able to help.
Can I ask a noob question, having just bought a beeb and installing the MMC, how can I quit games and return back to the menu. Also is it possible to save game progress to a empty disk slot. Thanks.
Is there any list of a software on SDcard which is downloaded from Retroclinic?
Exactly what this MMC system needed, and looks so intuitive...
